Isadora scowled when she noticed her twin was once more surrounded by his friends and he was too busy to see that she was once again secluded. Why did he have to be the popular one? Just because he was the artist of the two of them and liked to draw things for others he got more attention.

Yes she was jealous. Though there was good reason for it. All her life, the short fourteen years she had been alive she had always been the second. Despite the fact she was the first born of the twins, he was still the only son and the only heir apparent to the Levesque heritage. Sometimes she rather hated how old fashioned her parents were. She should at least get a part of the heritage, after all she was a Levesque as well.

In her heart she knew her brother would share the inheritance and everything that he was given when he became the heir. He was fair in that manner. Still..she was out a friend and confidant. He seemed to think she should expand her circle of influence and not be stuck to him as much as she liked to be.

It was hard though, most of the other girls in the Slytherin House were terrible to put up with. They were either petty, or super divas. She couldn't stand either. She supposed she could be rather stuck up at times, but she didn't demand that people do what she wanted when she wanted it like the other girls.

Of course there were the girls from the other houses, but they all seemed to scared of the fact that she was a Slytherin. There was also the whole problem with her parents not wanting her to make friends in certain houses. She sighed and tapped her foot glancing around the room once more before she turned sharply and made her way out of the common room.

She climbed up the long set of stairs from the dungeon and continued down the great hall. She had no clue where she was going or what she was going to do, she just knew she had to do something before she went out of her mind from boredom.

Suddenly she realized that she was all alone in the Great Hall. It was so big and spacious that she couldn't help but try a few ballet leaps and bounds. Then she closed her eyes and began to dance to the music that was in her head.

Mark yawned a little and leafed through is book of poetry, making a face as he read through them. "I need more practice in writing poetry, these need so much work" he said and frowned a little blowing out a small frustrated breath. He set his book on the table his hands clenched in a fist. He looked around the great hall, at least it was better then showing his frustration in the Gryffindor common room, not many people would have understood why he was frustrated.

He pushed around his food on his plate, he would need to find someone to get info from and critique but he knew no one of that sort. He pulled out his book instead and leaned back in his seat sighing a bit.He would need to perfect his poems if he wanted to share them in front of an audience. He blew out another frustrated breath, and pushed his food away. He looked around the great hall at least it was quiet enough and it wasn't very crowded.

He blinked as his eyes came across a Slytherin girl dancing to a song that he assumed was in her head. He watched her dance around the great hall quietly and tentatively. He hoped he wouldn't seem like some random creeper, that was just not his intention. Now that he thought about it he didn't see very many dancers in the house of Gryffindor but it seemed that this particular Slytherin girl enjoyed it with a passion. He smiled lightly, oh she was graceful and had poise and she was a beautiful girl.

Isadora hadn't really paid too much attention to the Great Hall and didn't realize that she wasn't alone. However because Mark was being quiet she didn't freak out when she did realize he was sitting at one of the tables reading.

She finished her ballet sequence to Beethoven's fifth movement and felt eyes on her. She frowned slightly and glanced around the large room. Her eyes immediately alighted on him and she smoothed out her skirt as she gracefully glided towards him.

She eyed him closely, taking in his auburn hair and bright green eyes and the gryffindor colors he was wearing. He would be the last person that she would ever think of spending time with but for the lack of anything better to do she took a seat across from him and looked him over a little closer.

After a moment of silent examination, she offered an arched hand to him and said, "Hello, I am Isadora Zoe Levesque, who might you be?"

Mark set down his book on the table and extended his hand out shaking her firmly. "Nice to meet you Isadora, I'm Mark James Jennings" he said politely "your dancing was wonderful, i don't see many girls in gryffindor doing that much" he said to her lightly. He blinked at her curiously wondering what house she was part of, but he was careful to choose his words in hopes to avoid getting her upset or offending her. First impressions were important to him and he would be beating himself up inside that he ruined it.

He lightly placed the book he was reading ontop of his journal of poetry, he wasn't ready to share his poems just yet. Especially, when they just met. He ligthly placed his hands on top of his books. "so what brings you to the great hall?" he asked her.

Isadora was a little taken aback by his shaking her hand, but she didn't let it show on her face. She was used to the much more refined greeting of having her hand kissed. She wasn't going to say that though, as she didn't want to appear stuck up.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Mark," She replied covering the slightly red color that came into her cheeks at his compliment. "Thank you." She glanced down at his book to see what he had been reading. It didn't have a title on the front, which made her wonder what it was.

She did notice the other book he had at the table looked to be a personal journal of some kind. She wondered what sorts of things he wrote inside.

"Oh nothing much, I just needed some space. My twin was getting fawned all over by his friends. I have a hard time making friends it seems." She shrugged keeping in a sigh. She didn't want Mark to think she was desperate for company, even though she was.

"Are you a writer?" She asked pointing the journal under the book. "What sorts of things do you like to write about?" She plunged ahead hoping she was correct in her assumption.

Mark wasn't sure how to greet to a lady he had little experience in that field because most of the time young ladies or even girls acted like he didn't exist and when they had to interact with him they were a little surprised. He lightly let go of her hand "Sorry..I don't have better manners, i'm not usually noticed by any young ladies at the school" he told her lightly.

"Pleasure is all mine Miss Isadora" he lightly said with a small and subtly nod to acknowledge her. He was still yet again getting use to being spoken to because most girls that attended school acted like he was invisible and went on their ways down the hallways.

He shrugged a bit "Most people take time to make friends here and there, heck I'm one of those people that take a lot of time to make friends" he told her thinking about it thoughtfully. "You just need to find the right people that your interests and personality mesh with, to say the least" he told her lightly. "Feel free to sit down and join me, if you would like to" he said gesturing to the empty spaces.

"Yes,you could say that." he answered "I mostly write poetry and that's about it, though most of it is amateur poetry" he told her, admiring her direct approach of asking questions.
