Well, at least he hadn't laughed! Alarice thought to herself in a rather huffy tone. She knew how silly it could seem to be scared of something like a rat, especially in a place where they were kept by so many as pets and even used in bits as ingredients. She couldn't help it if they made her skin crawl. She brought up a smile at Trevor's words. "Thank you; I'm sure he's a very nice rat, but I'm just....not fond of them. Shin really prefers to eat bugs, but he does go after rats too because he knows how I feel about them." She scratched Shin's chin and spoke to him. "Now you make sure you don't try to get any caged rats, okay Shin?" The cat purred and seemed to smile even more.

She nodded enthusiastically, glad that she had found someone who enjoyed tall tales as much as she does. "You also have to hand it to the Muggles; they can come up with some BIG ones! I've heard of ducks flying off with frozen lakes, and a giant with a blue ox that carved out a canyon with an axe, and even all sorts of stories that they think are scary but are really sort of silly, like the hook-handed guy that stalks teenagers in cars." She did have to admit, for a people without magic, they had some pretty good imaginations. If only they were so ready to believe the real thing when it came to light!

She couldn't help but chuckle a little at the shared sentiment of books. "At least our librarian enforces that; she gets so angry when you mistreat the books. Still, it's good practice to treat things that aren't yours well." At further mention of the room, she suddenly started looking unsure and began to fidget her feet. "Well......you see, it's like this. I sleepwalk a lot, and usually my house elf stops me before I get too far, but she's not here, and Shin was off hunting. So I managed to get clear out of the common room and was apparently wandering about the halls. It was a wonder I didn't run into anything nasty. But I do remember that I was having a dream where I kept going through door after door after door. Suddenly, I came up to a door that just wouldn't open. I tried to bash it with my shoulder, and I suddenly found myself sprawled on the floor in my nightshirt, right in front of a giant broken grandfather clock; apparently I'd been trying to open the jammed clock case."

"But I looked around and saw a huge room with all sorts of interesting things; books, comfortable chairs, and there were dozens of pots of mint there, for some reason. I also saw an old four-poster bed with a half-dozen blankets on it, just the way I have at home. I was still really tired, and the smell of mint was so nice, I just had to rest there for a bit. Next thing I know, Shin's pawing at my face and I get up in a hurry, somehow knowing I'd been sleeping for far too long. I saw a slightly dusty robe beside the bed that I know wasn't there before, but I managed to slip it on over my night shirt and make it to my first class. Luckily nobody seemed to notice my sock feet, and really it was a lot more fun taking my Charms exam and being able to wiggle my toes about."

"But it wasn't until classes were over and I was back here that I realized some things about that room. The night before, I had really been fretting about that Charms test, and I'm more likely to sleepwalk if I go to bed worrying about something. So I must have taken my worries with me as I walked, and the room seemed to know that I needed a better night's sleep than what I was getting. Books, armchairs and that familiar bed to remind me of home, and those dozens of pots of mint; I remembered that if there's one plant that rats can't stand, it's mint. It's like it knew what I needed and gave it to me. I tried to find out about it, thinking maybe it was some old Herbology teacher's room, but the only thing I could find was about a room that appears when you really need it, and always comes with what you need."

Breathless after her long tale, she smiled at Trevor. "I haven't found it again since, but I haven't really needed to since then, either. Maybe if we both look, and think of what you need to find, we can find it again."

Trèvor couldn't help but wonder if Alarice liked him less now that she knew he was a rat owner. He couldn't tell by the look on her face or how she was acting. He figured she was better than that. She wouldn't be the type to be prejudiced against a person just because they liked something different. Though she probably wouldn't care to ever pet or hold his rat.

"Oh he's a fun character at times, most times he can be annoying. I won't go into any details since it would probably wouldn't interest you too much. I'm not out to try and change your mind about rats if that's what you might think. You can hate them all you want. Just don't try and change my hatred for bubblegum." He added with a snort, remembering what had made him hate it in the first place.

Trevor smiled and watched as she talked to her cat and how the two of them interacted. He'd never really seen any girl talk to her pet like Alarice did before. It was rather entertaining to say the least. Plus it seemed as though the cat could understand her quite well.

He nodded in agreement with her statement. "I think because they don't rely on magic like we do they let their imaginations roam freer. Of course some of what they think up does sound like what we have. Wow, those sound pretty neat. I wish I could read about some of those."

Trevor was glad to have someone to talk to, and who agreed with him on some of his own beliefs. It was nice to not have to argue or fight over things. It seemed like his roommates were always wanting to fight over the stupidest things. Speaking of which, they were now entering the Slytherin Common Room. He really didn't want them to start in on him and tease him for talking to Alarice. Or worse, make fun of her. Because of course they would.

"We should go look for it, how about we go look now?" He suggested. "In fact, let's go before those guys come over and bug us." He added.

Had Alarice known what Trevor was thinking, she would have been quick to enforce it; she had no love for rats, but that didn't mean that everyone else had to have the same disdain for them. She felt, after all, that one of the reasons she was even in Slytherin house was to bypass the petty things when it came to forging friendships. Besides, Shin seemed to like him, and she always considered him to be the best judge of character.

"Well...." She scratched behind her head sheepishly. "Truth be told I'm scared of them. It's not so bad in class when there's tails and whiskers and things, but a whole one...." She shivered a bit and chanced a small peek at Santiago. "At least he doesn't look like the wild ones; they're the scariest of all." She chuckled a bit. "I can actually imagine someone hating bubble gum; how it can be all sticky and gooey and get so caught up in hair. I prefer fizzing whizzbees myself."

She smiled and shrugged her shoulders. "My parents had no problem with letting Muggle books in the house, so I had plenty of those along with the regular ones. They can be so strange with their ways of thinking; they pine for an easier and more enchanted way to live, but when they catch a glimpse of it, they get scared. It's like they don't want to believe, that they'd rather stay pining forever than to actually find what they're looking for. I kind of feel sorry for them."

She liked the idea of finding the room again (awake this time) and Shin even looked interested, as though he remembered the morning he had managed against all odds to find his mistress in some strange room surrounded by books and mint. She nodded her head in agreement and straightened up. "That sounds great; I'd love to get a look at this place when I'm not half-asleep or in a hurry for class. I wonder what it'll look like when we find it this time?"

Trèvor wasn't surprised when she admitted that she was scared of rats. He was rather startled when he felt little paws on his shoulder. He hoped seeing the rat wasn't freaking Alarice out too badly. He reached over and pulled the rat down and stuffed Santiago in his vest pocket, hoping the little houdini would stay put for a few minutes.

"I really didn't know he had snuck out of his cage, I hope he didn't frighten you too much." He apologized and then poked the rat's head back down in the pocket. "He really is an escape artist, I don't know how he does it. I make sure to lock his cage up tight. Maybe I'll have to get a magical lock, perhaps that will keep him inside. Yeah, he is pretty cool looking with his red and yellow markings on his face." He replied and shot a quick glance at Shin.

Thankfully the cat wasn't paying too much mind to the rat in his pocket, much to Trevor's relief. He'd just have to be careful.

"Gum is pretty bad when it gets caught in your hair, my sister's gotten gum in my hair too many times to count over the years. If you ever get any in yours keep in mind, peanut butter works really well in getting it out. I like the pumpkin pasties and cauldron cakes the most." He added.

Trevor was really excited at the thought of finding the room of requirement; especially with his new friend. Well..he hoped he could count her as a new friend. Perhaps he'd find out soon enough.
"Half asleep? What did you find that time?" He wondered aloud as he headed out of the common room.

Tame rat or no, Alarice was still more than a little out of her comfort zone seeing a rat crawling about on her new friend. Hysterical thoughts flitted through her head; ridiculous ones, like the rat turning suddenly with murder in it's beady little eyes, biting down on Trevor's neck until the throbbing vein spurted out his lifeblood in a macabre fountain. She knew his pet would do no such thing, and fought to put the ideas out of her mind, particularly in case Shin picked up on her discomfort and decided in his calm, collective way, that friend's pet or no, Santiago would be better off ceasing to exist and tormenting his mistress.

"Shin has a way of doing that himself; back home I have to maintain a small spell that changes his color and some of his features when he goes out and about. Though sometimes I wonder if he does that all on his own, because I'm sure I've forgotten a time or two, but there hasn't been any strange visits from the 'catchers'." She smiled at Shin and pointed a finger at him. "Remember now, no eating my friend's rat, okay?" The cat let out a barely audible sniff, as though offended at Alarice's lack of faith in his self-control, and proceeded to lead the way out of the common room with his thin little tail in the air.

"I've had gum in my hair once before; a stupid muggle boy put it there. His parents kept saying it was because he liked me, but I sure hated him from that point on. I was glad when my parents told him to stay away. I think Bridgey used some magic to help get it out, and then she brushed my hair until it was completely gone." She laughed a little. "You're starting to make me hungry; at this rate, the room might just turn into a dessert shop!"

She followed Shin out into the corridor, checking of course to make sure that no other students from other houses were around to witness their exit, and started to walk down the corridor, eyes peeled for anything unusual on the walls. "I found the best sleep I'd had in ages, but I do recall piles and piles of assorted things. If I didn't know better I'd say it's where the whole castle's rubbish ends up. But at least there weren't any rats to go with it."

Trèvor had no idea what Alarice was going through, though if he had known he probably would have assured her that Santiago wasn't a blood-thirsty rodent. He might have even pointed out that cats were known for eating their owners when the owners' died and left them without food. Not that it would have been a nice thing to do.

Trèvor was intrigued to hear that Shin might be able to change his appearance at will. He'd never heard of a familiar being able to do that before. "That's pretty cool, maybe it's some sort of defense mechanism for him?" He mused aloud.

He couldn't help but grin when Alarice told her pet to leave his rat alone. He thought it was funny that the cat seemed miffed at her lack of faith in him.

As they followed Shin out of the room and up the stairs towards the great hall, he couldn't help but grimace at her story about the boy who had put the gum in her hair.
"What a t**t. If someone did that to me I'd probably break his nose." He replied rolling his eyes. "Bridgey? Who is that?"

He actually agreed with her about being hungry, but knew that if they tried to stop by the kitchens early they'd get turned away by annoyed house elves. He really didn't need to get on their bad side. "That would be great! I could use some sweets, it's been ages since I've had any. Speaking of sweets," Here he paused and checked his robe's pockets.

"aha! I knew I had some left!" He pulled out some chocolate frogs, still in their boxes and handed her one. "Maybe a chocolate frog will help stave off your sweet tooth for a bit?"

He thought it was kind of fun to have a cat leading them down the corridor. He wondered if Shin was keeping an eye out for people who might stop him.
He'd never thought that a cat could be so cool before. Maybe he could find a cat that would get along with Santiago. If so maybe he would look into finding one to own.

"That's awesome. I barely get enough sleep in my dorm room. All the other guys are loud snorers. I usually have to stuff my ears with wax in order to sleep. Though sometimes that's not enough. It sounds like it could be a treasure trove for hoarders." He commented.

Alarice would have laughed aloud had she known Trevor's thought; she knew Shin was far too clever to let himself starve to death, even if she wasn't there to take care of him. Which would never happen, ever. "Could be; I would love to have him checked out by an expert, but I would be afraid they would find something rare and take him away for some scientific research or something. I think he's perfectly fine staying with me and not being poked with wands or having spells cast on him. Other than my cloaking spell, of course."

She giggled as they walked up the stairs. "I almost did break his nose. But my parents didn't want me fighting any more muggles after I gave this one kid a black eye for picking on me. It was too much hassle to get the parents to admit they had a stupid kid." She turned her head a bit to look at him sideways. "Bridgey is our house elf. We got her a few years back when nobody else would hire her because of her hands." She stuck her own out in front of her and wiggled them for emphasis. "Her fingers are all twisted and mangled. She never said anything about it, but mom and I think she had a really cruel master who broke them again and again until they couldn't heal right. She can still hold things though, and she works really hard."

At the sound of the wrapper crinkling, Alarice paused and turned around in time to take the proffered sweet. "Hey, thanks!" She grinned as she saw Shin pause in the corridor and turn around with interest to see what they were going on about. "Shin, you know you can't have chocolate; you're allergic." Shin actually looked a little droopy as he turned around and continued down the corridor, his posture seeming to say vehemently that he didn't want any anyway, so there! Alarice looked thoughtful as she nibbled on the frog's chocolatey nose. "Although.....he's no ordinary cat.....maybe he's NOT allergic. But I wouldn't want to risk it anyway."

She nodded as she walked on, keeping an eye on Shin as he turned a corner and led them to a large, empty hallway, adorned with pictures who's people seemed preoccupied with visiting those who had a painted spread for dinner. "The girls can be noisy too; some of them squeal and gossip. I'd rather sleep in the Forbidden Forest." She pondered. "Could be; I've heard ir can be completely empty too, at times. I wonder where all the stuff goes THEN?"
PostPosted: Fri Jul 15, 2016 9:23 pm

Trèvor nodded. He could understand being protective of one's familiar. If Santiago was some sort of rare creature that might be taken away from him he'd fight tooth and nail to keep him. He'd probably even resort to using magic against the perpetrators.

"Well maybe you can find someone that wouldn't try anything like that one day, though it would be smarter to not chance it." He added.

He couldn't help but laugh at her story. She wasn't like most girls he had talked to before. She seemed like a very fierce, self-reliant and confident person. She'd be the kind of girl he'd want as a friend. It seemed like most of the girls he tried to talk to were always hinting at wanting a boyfriend. It was ridiculous to him. He wasn't even interested in having a girlfriend and probably wouldn't be for a long time.

"Oh, wow, that's terrible." he said sympathetically. While his family had never owned a House Elf, he knew that a lot of families did. Not to mention that a lot of the ones in the Slytherin House treated them terribly. He never really cared for people who would treat others badly. He didn't see a point of it.

"You're welcome Alarice," Trevor replied smiling at her. He felt a bit bad about not having a treat for Shin, he looked pretty sad at not being included.
"Maybe we can find something more to his liking." He suggested.

Trevor couldn't help but chortle at her description of the girls in her room. "I don't know if I'd want to sleep there, isn't it full of dangerous animals and other things that are equally dangerous?"

He hadn't known that the room of requirement could be empty. "Well it's magic right? Maybe it just moves it somewhere else in the castle until the items are needed."

He paused at the painting of food to look it over. "Well that certainly looks good," he said licking his lips. "I wish dinner wasn't still an hour away; if only we could raid the kitchens for something to snack on." He added as he continued down the hallway.

He came to a stop when a door appeared in the wall where a door had never been before. He turned to glance at Alarice.
"I think we found it." he said with a happy grin. "Maybe there will be food inside."

Alarice nodded thoughtfully, watching Shin pause and sniff, occasionally standing still with ears twitching at the slightest sound and giving tiny glances of mild annoyance at the two tromping humans behind him. "My grandfather might know somebody, but I still wouldn't want to risk it. I think we might be on thin ice anyway keeping something like him around where we don't completely know what to expect from him magic-wise."

In turn she was liking Trevor well enough. He wasn't a bully, he hadn't taken advantage of her telling him about her fear of rats, and Shin seemed to like him, which was good enough for her. At least she knew there was enough cat in him to where he could be a good judge of one's character. Anyone that he lowered his ears at or hissed at, she knew to steer clear of.

"I've heard of worse things, sadly. At least Bridgey can still work and has a job. I've never really seen the point of being mean to them; it's not like they can fight back or anything. Father sometimes sees them like tools, but even he says that if you misuse your stuff, it's not good for anything anymore. He saw her as a broken tool and didn't want to take her on, but mom and I sort of ganged up on him."

She grinned at Shin's seeming tragedy at being left out. "Oh he'll find something around here; he goes all kinds of places. I bet once we're through, he'll sneak off to the Black Lake and catch him a fish." Up ahead, the cat's eyes flew forward, as though he thought this a most marvelous idea.

"The Forbidden Forest? Well yes, but there are lovely things there as well, like unicorns. So long as you don't go too deep in, it's really not so bad." She chuckled. "I guess they could get move somewhere else, but wouldn't that be a trip on somebody if the room was found and it had to be empty and so it moved all of the stuff inside it on top of someplace, like someone's house or the middle of the Potions classroom?"

She looked and saw just as Trevor had said something, that Shin had stopped and was looking expectantly at the door that had materialized out of nowhere. Reaching out, it place a single paw on the door and Alarice blinked in surprise as it opened slightly without a sound, just enough for the cat to slide on it. Watching the tip of his lavender tail disappear, she turned and smiled at Trevor. "You're the one that needed to find it; you tell ME what's inside."
PostPosted: Thu Jul 21, 2016 6:47 pm

Trèvor didn't notice the annoyed glances from Shin in the slightest. Not that it would have bothered him. He probably would have found it highly amusing.

Trevor nodded in response to Alarice's comment. "True. Have you ever seen or experienced him doing something magical?" He really was curious to know what Shin was capable of. The idea of a familiar being able to do magic was new to him.

Had he known that she relied on her cat's opinion of people he probably would have found it amusing.

He couldn't help but wince hearing that Alarice knew of worse things that could happen to House Elves. He still didn't understand why people got so much fun out of hurting a race that served them. He wondered if it had to do with England's history.

He nodded in agreement. "That makes sense to me as well," He grinned at the idea of her and her mother ganging up on her father. "I guess he knew he couldn't win an argument against the both of you."

Trevor couldn't help but imagine Shin prowling the shores of the Black Lake in search of a juicy fish. He smiled thinking it would be a fun thing to watch Shin stalk a fish.
"Does he ever let you watch him when he goes hunting?"

Just the idea of unicorns sparked Trevor's adventurous side. He had never seen one before and he wondered if the stories he had heard about them were true or not. Was it true that only young innocent girls could find them?
He would have to do some about that later on. Or maybe just ask Alarice what she knew. The way she had spoken the name so reverently made him think that she must love them and know a lot about them.

"That's good to know. You talk as if you've been in the Forbidden Forest before. Isn't it off limits for first years though?" He inquired turning to look her in the eyes.

Her comment about things just randomly showing up in the Potions Room had him imagining that happening in the middle of a class.
He laughed, "that would definitely rile the Potion's Professor. He's such a neat freak he'd probably have a major melt-down if it did happen."

Treveor watched as sShin disappeared in through the small opening. He reached out and pulled the door open, turning his back to the room and held it for Alarice to go through.
Then there will be food, Lots of food! Especially fizzing whizzbees and pumpkin pasties!" He proclaimed loudly.

"Magical....." Alarice pondered. "Well.....nothing completely outright magical, but there have been a lot of small things that I guess a Muggle could chalk up to luck or intuition. He never gets lost, for one thing; he could go to the very end of the city and come back in time for dinner. He also, as you can see, is seldom hampered by doors and windows; he always manages to find a way inside or outside when he really wants to. He definitely has a cat's or kneazle's intuition when it comes to people you can't trust; you should see all the students he's hissed at so far this year. He's also definitely smarter than any old cat; you've seen him when we're talking about him. He knows what we're saying and I bet if he was able, he'd answer us."

She smiled at the memory. "He's not a really hard person, my father. He was actually pretty laid back in school; I think even his own fellow Slytherins didn't always know what to make of him. He's always been so nice to grandpa too, even though he always carries on about Slytherin house and keeps looking at Dad like he's going to turn into a snake and swallow Bridgey whole."

At this she fidgeted a little and looked nervous. "I'm not a big fan of water, but he doesn't mind my watching. He knows I'll keep quiet enough. But I don't like watching him catch birds; I guess it's easier to feel sorry for a fluffy little bird than a wet, scaly fish. I know he catches them, because I've seen a few feathers around, but he never seems to do it when I'm around to see it. He's so thoughtful."

She shrugged a little at the mention of the forest being off limits. "Well yes, but it's not as though anyone actually FOLLOWS that rule, you know? People sneak into the forest all the time; at least I'm there to look for creatures and not.........other things that people do in there." She never felt it was a really big deal that she ignored certain rules; did they really expect every student to quell their curiosity in a school full of ghosts, magic stairs and talking paintings?

Alarice grinned as she walked through the door right after him. "So you needed a good snack huh? Well I guess that wouldn't be the biggest stretch for a room........like.......whoa." She knew by the smell that something had changed; what was just a small odor of must that blew out when the door was opened had changed into a heavenly aroma of chocolate and pumpkin. She quickly closed the door behind her so that the smell wouldn't get out into the hallway and attract people, and blinked at what she saw in front of her.

Two long tables were set up end to end along each wall, laden with all kinds of treats. Cauldron cakes were tiered up like a wedding cake made of tiny chocolate cups. Fizzing Whizbees were stacked up like melon balls out of what looked like a giant half of a hollowed-out orange, giving the whole area around it a nice citrus scent. Pumpkin pasties were lined up like moist, flaky scales on a plate the size of giant's. Ice cream sundaes with every topping imaginable (and a few unimaginable ones) slowly dripping down scoops and causing rivulets of topping to flow down the chilly peaks like debris from a lava flow. And at the very center, a table with a chocolate fountain as tall as Alarice, with all kinds of things around it to skewer on sticks and dip into the delectable sheet of brown, chocolatey goodness.

Alarice turned and blinked at Trevor. "Man, when you get a hankering, you sure get one, huh?"

Trèvor couldn't help but think that muggles would find alot of things in the magical world to be due to luck or even good fortune. They really didn't have very avid imaginations, well at least in his experience. they seemed so logical and frankly boring. Not that he could say he disliked them but he knew he'd never live in their world for long.
Where would the fun be in that? Especially when the magical world existed.

"That's pretty cool. Most kids can't do that on a good day," He snorted. "He sounds like a very smart cat, I imagine he's a great judge of character." He added.
"You;ll have to point out the kids he's hissed at so I know which ones to avoid."

Trevor couldn't help but laugh at the image of a grown man transforming into a snake. The idea of him swallowing a body whole actually made him queasy though he wasn't about to let Alarice know that.

"Some people just have a very active imagination I suppose." He said with a wink.

Trevor was surprised to hear water scared her. Then again the Black Lake wasn't just a placid lake. It was teeming with all kinds of scary magical creatures that could drown you or eat you alive. Just the thought made his spine shiver. He had for the longest time had horrible nightmares of being pulled down into brackish waters slowly drowning to death. Perhaps following Shin to the Black Lake wasn't a very smart idea.

He caught the end of her conversation and blinked in confusion. Someone was considerate of her feelings? Oh right, she must have continued talking about Shin.

"Having a familiar like Shin must be nice." He said casting a glance down at Salvadore's furry head which was poking out of his pocket again. He pushed the head back into his pocket before Alarice could see him. He knew it was only a matter of time before his rat friend would escape and freak Alarice out.

"Mine just likes to cause problems wherever he goes. I may just have to trade him in for a different familiar. Maybe a Jarvey or a Cat."

He didn't really mean it but with all the trouble Salvadore caused it was tiring him out. He had gotten Salvadore when he was eight and the pet shop had said the Rat was already middle-aged. He didn't believe that though because Salvadore hadn't ever slowed down or shown his age. He acted like a young rat with a boundless supply of energy.

Trevor was stunned by Alarice's comment. No one followed the rule? It was strange to think he of all people was following a rule that no one else was. Trevor the king of rule breaking and dare-devilry was playing it safe. He wondered momentarily what other things people might do in the Forbidden Forest.

"You're talking to the Choir," Trevor mumbled. "Next time you go let me know. I'd be glad to go with you. That is if you don't mind some company."

Trevor knew by the expression on Alarice's face and the intoxicating aromas that the room was filled with all sorts of delicious sweets.

"Whoa is right," He said staring in awe at the tables and pyramids of sweets stacked up on them.

Trevor grinned at Alarice. "Oh my hankerings are legendary, as you can well see!" Let the feasting begin!"

He proclaimed and began to pile a plate full of sweets. When his plate was toweing with his favorites, he looked around for a place to sit down. Almost immediately a table with high backed soft chairs appeared in front of him.

"Excellent! You know I should throw my birthday party in this room next month. Of course I'll need to meet some new people because a party with only two people would be boring. Do you have any other friends?"

Alarice could hardly decide what to go for first; everything looked so good! The chocolate fountain gave off such a wonderful smell, and the plates all around it filled with fruit and even crisps beckoned to her. But then again, she had always been fond of fizzing whizbees, and was never above buying them out when she found them at the candy shop. Her decision made, she walked over and scooped up a few. Shin was looking around, nose twitching, but apparently found little to his liking, so he walked over to one of the high backed chairs and made himself comfortable. Alarice wasn't worried; she knew he knew better than to try chocolate, though not really being a cat at all, she had to wonder if the sweet even had any effect on him.

She popped a few in her mouth and felt the familiar sensation of her feet leaving the ground, and she laughed as she looked down and saw her feet dangling just inches above the floor. Shin seemed undisturbed by his mistress taking to the sky like a bird, but suddenly wiggled his nose as a fine fish appeared between his paws; apparently the Room had realized it's mistake in leaving him out and was making amends.

Flapping her arms a little as though she were swimming, Alarice hovered over to the table with the chocolate fountain and angling herself forward, she sailed over the table, reaching down to grab a strawberry and dipping it in the chocolate fountain as she slowly flew by it. "This must be what those muggles in the space tubes feel like; the astro-thingies!" Straightening herself up, she looked over at Trevor and made a face. "I dunno.....if word got out about this place, I bet lots of people would misuse it, and I don't trust enough people around here yet to tell them about it. I don't really have a lot of friends to speak of......." She snapped her fingers. "We could always invite the house elves; I bet they never get the chance to go to any parties."
