Even after the show of pride Dante sat alone, his tail now flicking against the sand in aggitation. Surely there was someone worth mating around here, someone...hopefully not a mushy dolt wanting love. That emotion sickened him to no end, the fact that others sought it out made his stomach turn. A weakness that feeling was! Though perhaps one that he could manipulate if need be.

Just as he'd been about to walk off, forsaking the spirits in charge of this gathering he'd spot a rather interesting looking dragoness. She looked unhappy about the loving couples just as he, a definite good sign. Without a word he'd pad over toward her, inspecting her coat to be certain she'd be suitable, liking this. Chain clinking a devilish grin spreads across his bloodied maw, his voice gravely and oozing with a sense of danger. "Sickened by the fools as well are you?" Dark eyes intent on her he'd wait, chest puffed out.

Xiao'tong had all but given up on finding anyone by now seeing as most had paired off, his mission to meet others running close to a possibly fruitless end. "I'm too different." Mumbling softly to himself he'd hug his fluffy tail to his chest, ears drooping as more and more pair off until it seems none are left. Not giving up just yet the red panda water lion slips closer to a bonfire to make himself more visible, risking the heat for now in the hopes that someone would see him.

Hope wavering he sits there starting to pant softly, he'd need water soon, but for now he refused to budge, eyes a tad moist. Maybe there really was nobody that wanted to see him.

When someone else joined her bonfire, the black lioness shifted herself, her skull marked face peering around the flames at her new visitor. "Why so glum." she spoke in an eerily monotone voice, shifting her white striped and orange wings to rest behind her back as she gazed at him curiously, tail curled around her paws. "Don't have what they do? Join the club eh." she snorted, before training her black soulless eyes back into the fire as if she were reading it like a book.

The sudden voice nearby left the odd lion yipping in shock, fluffy tail hugged tightly like a security blanket. "Oh...I...I didn't see you. I'm sorry, I feel a little faint from the fire.." Looking over the features of the odd lioness he notes how different her fur pattern is, head canting to the side. "Um...What is different? Your fur is very very interesting, but you have wings and a tail like them. Why do you talk like that? Oh! And what's your name? I'm Xiao'tong." As he speaks the odd water lion calms more and more, starting to just ask questions wanting to get to know his possible new friend.

This young one certainly asked a lot of questions, drawing the lioness back out of her fire gazing daze and over to him again. "I am different because I am not born of the water, but of land. I have always talked like this, never have I questioned it." she replied, her jet black eyes narrowing a tad as she looked him over. She was certain he was one of the water dwelling kind, but his tail was different. That in and of itself was interesting. "Eve, but most call me Hallow."

"I uh.... sweet has never been a word I've heard before... or at least, not to describe me," Ellianora moved to stand beside him and smiled. "Thank you. You're really... kind and patient. I like your tail too, it's soft and fluffy," the red on her cheeks could not become redder, even as she felt herself blush again. The heat in her face seemed to move down her body, and she felt warm even though the night air was cool and crisp. It wasn't uncomfortable; just different.

She watched with amusement at his jumping backward and playful bouncing of his paws and giggled. Ellie didn't laugh or giggle often, and it sounded foreign to her ears, so she flattened them in confusion. This was something.... I like this feeling. It's.. it's so comforting and warm. I wonder if... I wonder "what does love or attraction feel like?" Ellie thought out loud, and wasn't embarrassed about her question. Her ears perked back up as she turned her gaze to him, and was lost in his eyes for a moment.

Being caught in her thoughts, she almost didn't hear him speak. "Oh! Food sounds great! I am hungry, and haven't eaten since this morning. You're so thoughtful," she said referring to his comment about keeping her hydrated and purred, bumping her shoulder to his. A small snap of static electricity arched between them as she pulled away. "I like... talking to you," Ellie said quietly before taking off ahead of him. Her stomach felt as though wings were fluttering all around, almost like the fireflies stuck in the jars overhead. The warmth she felt around Attor was welcome, and it scared her to feel such a feeling. She didn't want to turn tail and run away as per usual, and instead wanted to stay even if she was afraid of herself and what she wanted to do. Ellie wanted to rebel against her shyness.... that at least was the half truth she kept telling herself.
