It would probably take a simultaneous attack by mole people and martians to wipe the smile off of Charlie's face at this point,
"Well, it was kinda that. You were gone for so long, and then I started seeing you around again...and...and I knew I had to ask before you disappeared again. In case, you disappeared again."
Charlie's smile took a turn for the shy,
"It's...it's okay. I get to dance with you now."
(How does your twisted mind even think of such things?
You've also managed to uncover my not-so-secret love for Selena Gomez songs.
Bravo.)

"Oh? Are you a fan of tea? I had no idea, an interesting discovery."
Tobias couldn't help a soft chuckle, Charlie looked so happy. Though he gave a slight wince at the next thing he heard.
"I do apologize, there were some issues that made me less than wanting to get out as much. Try not to fret too much. I may be hard to see, but I am rarely gone."
Giving a wink, he grinned.
"I do not so much disappear as fade, you know."
Seeing the more shy smile, his own grin softened. It seemed Charlie had found his way into cute, also known as a certain horned males soft spot.
"That we are. Is there a type of dance you like best?"
((Who can really say how one's mind works? Twisted or less so.
An unexpected bonus, so you probably face palmed a little less. ))

Rae wondered why Sammy had run off so suddenly, and if the girl's feelings had been hurt. She sincerely hoped not. Wishing she knew the girl better to go after her, the princess simply loitered around the refreshment table. Spotting Gwen, she waved in her direction. There were so many cute girls here, if she were the blushing type, her face would be three shades of pink by now. The princess liked that her best friend got to spend time with other people, it made her happy to see him happy. Since she had nothing better to do, Rae grabbed a glass of punch and sipped at it while watching the others dance.

Charlie chuckled at the joke,
"Your body might fade, but your memory lingers."
The grin and wink made Charlie blush all over again. It was becoming a permanent feature,
"I've always like waltzes because I'm a romantic, but the foxtrot has a nice happy bounce to it too."
Happy bounce, yeah. Charlie felt like his feet had wings right now.
(Her sounds are just all so happy and fun. Hard to be sad and listen to them.

Tobias wasn't one to blush, and gave another head bow.
"I am happy to be considered at all memorable."
Seeing the blush, his eyes flickered. Closing them momentarily, he wondered if the other had always had such cute moments. When he felt that the fire was probably not there any more, he opened his eyes again.
"Waltz or foxtrot, I bet we could find something to work with for that in Minty's ipod. Or I suppose we could just ask Minty. However, we could just keep dancing as we are. Your thoughts, Charlie my dear?"
((I don't think I really know any of her other stuff. A coworker likes to play the one I posted. That's how I know it. ))

Here he paused and lifted a hand to brush over one of Charlie's flushed cheeks.
"At any point, you could have asked for a dance. I would not have turned you down."
A rather pleased expression came to his face as he moved his hand back.
"You rhymed."
