Personality
Ishara is a serious character, quiet and careful, she comes across as quite ‘cold’. However there is a spark underneath her cold exterior and her temper can be quite strong. When riled, she is a fierce warrior…but only verbally. A slightly pudgy leopon, she’s not the most fierce nor is the most graceful. She has her wits and that is all that matters to her. To those younger than her, she is kind and guiding but unafraid to correct bad behaviour. She is all about teaching people, but teaching people who to behave the correct way.
History
Born to a Leopard mother who had already dealt with the issues of seer-hood before, Ishara was raised gently and guided into her visions as best she could be. She knew that one of her siblings was also a seer, but he went with their father, so she was not raised with his gift. As a cub, she was taken to her eldest brother (from her mother’s last litter) to talk to him about her visions, as he too was a seer. She came to understand her gift and at adolescence she returned to him to be guided and taught about her visions.
As a cub, she had a run-in with a cannibalistic lion cub who tried to attack her, though she was saved by her Uncle Dysi (a close friend of her mother’s), who tried to calm her down and tell her not to judge the starving boy. However, she didn’t forgive him nor trust the stranger. Over the months into adolescent, while visiting her brother in his pride (the Koti’kakille), she ran into the stranger again. A very angry game of cat and mouse began, and over the months she found herself unable to stay away from him, despite her repulsion of his actions. Somewhere in her heart, she knew he wouldn’t change but sometimes she would see glimpses of a better man beneath his flaws, and that always drew her back in.
Coming to the Mimi’naona, she tried to put her past behind her, taking the position of Monarch and trying to run the pride as best she could. She struggles and she makes mistakes, but is always willing to fix them and improve her leading.
