Gabriel had observed in other cases where the adult B'alam had an easier time learning and improving on how to fly. It wasn't long before many of them were gliding as if they had been experienced in it. This was a relief. There were other matters to attend to today. The fact Marie would likely have wanted him to help guided his actions now, however, he did not want this to become an all night ordeal.
The air seemed to change in tune with the rapped beating of wings to his side, and now front. Gabriel spared only a moment's glance to the tahtil as she speed ahead. A competitive spirit? His pace remained constant. Each beat of his massive wings remained the same as he continued forward.
Despite the weaver granting a certain set of knowledge upon awakening, he doubted the nahtil knew where they were really going. Beyond that gaping maw of rock was a vast cavern with carved structures and spires (still a work in progress, but progress was being made day by day). The floors and even some of the walls were like a maze of building made of rock, some nearly the same as the next. There was a grand pillar, massive in size, toward the center of the entire cave (still a great distance from the entrance), and though its appearance was grand it was almost foreboding in a way.
There were also several exits along the walls. Some appeared as dots along the vast cave, as if the cave itself had it's own set of constellations. Not as spectacular as the night's sky, but still a sight to behold.
Gabriel said nothing as he flew forward at his own pace. Perhaps, as Gabriel saw it, common sense would come as quick to her as flight had...

Though, Midna reached the entrance quick enough, she was rather disappointed with Dracul's lack of enthusiasm. She knew she wasn't going to go far, something told her the caverns were deep with varying other passages. Though she could see down the cavern and where it split off. She'd get lost this time without someone to show her the way at least once.
Not a word though from her guide Dracul. Didn't talk much did he? So what did he think about then? She waited for him to catch up before continuing to follow him. Maybe this was the more boring route. But a city sounded far more interesting. It felt like she would be more comfortable there, more to do she guessed.[2062] to this point

Gabriel continued at his own pace. There was no rush to their destination and Gabriel did not fancy games at the moment. He never was one for spontaneous games.
The cave was under construction at this point. There was an earth Magus that showed up occasionally to shape the rocks as directed by Gabe and occasionally Chronos. Slowly but surely the kingdom was taking shape.
Their destination was a clearing just outside the vast area of the "castle" in the center of the cave. Gabriel angled his wings downward and begun to descend toward a large flattened rock.
He glanced toward Midna to see if she was following... and to see if she was ready to try and land.

Midna followed him through the passageways, Once they were through they entered a massively large cavern. Midna kept pace as she flew beside Dracul. Her gaze however, fell on the growing city. Many of the buildings were beginning to take shape. Many Balam worked on the rocks which had been already loosely shaped. Sculpting and refining the rocks to their final shapes. Curious indeed.
"Impressive," she uttered. How were the rocks shaped like that to begin with, she wondered unaware of the magus and their much stronger abilities. Considering Midna was unknowingly accompanying one. Gabe angled away from the city and Midna followed after a few more circles around the city there was much to look at despite the rough shape it was in. There was potential here, she could see it.
Angling her wings down as similarly as she could she slowly descended. Now how did it go? Tpp fast and she might crash. She had to get it just right. Graceful would certainly be an added bonus, she did have an appearance to keep. Even after Dracul had seen her failing. Midna focused in on how she was descending trying to keep her wings angled right. Landing was harder than it looked. She allowed her tail end to lower while raising her forepaws above her back legs. At least what she was about to land on was flat. Don't stop dead; keep a flow as you land she thought without fully realizing. She tensed as she neared the ground. nervously some sort of weight filled her stomach. Her back paws touched first as she made a little run forward stopping herself once she'd slowed enough. And her momentum was no longer carried by the wind.
It wasn't like she was worried, or anything. she started to relax her muscles after a moment of being on stable ground. They'd only been flying for a bit but she suddenly realized how weak her wings felt; almost like they were sore or something. She folded them neatly back in place wincing a bit. It was the strangest feeling they throbbed and hurt but it didn't feel like she was hurt. Not the same pain she'd felt when she crashed before. She eyed them with a curious raised brow.
Oh right he was still here. She'd forgotten for a moment. Midna smiled "That wasn't so hard." she said as though she knew she'd be fine the entire time. "Since we flew over the city you were so proud of." she paused with a smirk. "I take it you have something else in mind." [431]

Gabriel watched carefully while Midna made her first land. Should anything happen he wanted to be ready to make a quick save. His frame hovered in place, his wings beating in what appeared to be backwards strokes, while he looked on silently. It appeared as if she had the hang of it. It was instinct after all. The weaver would not weave a soul into being without these basic necessities.
Once it appeared as if she had the hang of it Gabriel angled his wings downward and made his own speedy decent. Within moments he was on the ground a slight distance behind Midna. Despite his great size his decent seemed almost silent.
Once on the ground his wings folded tight against his frame and he made his approach to the Nantil.
"This spot is easiest for a first time landing." Gabriel responded simply. "You are free to explore more of this cave if you would like. However, the inner walls of the castle are off limits."
While he mentioned the castle he gestured with a wing to the large pillar that stood in the center of the cave. This, of all the structures, had taken on more of a unique shape than the rest of the buildings. The spire in the center of the castle reached all the way up to the top of the cave. It appeared as if it were merged with the ceiling. Dim lights flickered within small angled openings in the rock above, as if the rocks has managed to hold captive dim starlight from the sky outside.
"This is my domain, as magus of the Dark Tribe I am charged with leading and protecting my kin and those who wish to reside within my walls. You are welcome to remain here if that is your wish, but know that I will not tolerate anyone who wills harm upon my family."
The word 'family' was heavily implied to be more inclusive than just his literal family, which, was at the moment was just his beloved Marie. Anyone who wished ill upon his Yoliliztli was already dead in his eyes.

"Eee hee hee you didn't think I could do it did you?" she smiled. He didn't seem to have any faith in her. True though she did have some initial trouble getting off the ground. But not as much trouble as he seemed to think her incapable. She had to prove him incorrect. Midna padded beside him as he explained the structure of the growing city.
Midna took note of the spire in the center. It certainly would be grand now wouldn't it. "Oh, something special is there isn't it." Midna wondered what it could be. No matter. Midna laughed lightly "Don't worry I won't go there." she said seriously. There was indeed a lot more to explore in this cavern. And she still had to work on her flight.
"This place is lovely, quite fetching." she whispered to herself. How strange. So little had she seen of this world and this place felt like a place she could quite easily make her home. A smile graced her features as she continued to gaze at the growing city.
Gabe was a Magus? The Leader of this entire tribe Of course it had to be something like that. How foolish of her for not realizing that. Strange he'd come help her personally though. Did Leaders do that? No matter. Midna did her best to hide her surprise. Though a little did show. "My isn't that a surprise." she laughed in spite of herself in her usual way. "Well I should be honored you'd take time to help me." She turned to face Darcul. "Dracul's not your name then." It certainly sounds silly to be calling someone not by their real name.
"I will stay here." she said "It's interesting." Midna raised her brow "Oooh now isn't that interesting, you already have a family," she smiled. In her strange roundabout way she was telling him how he didn't exactly seem like a family make from the little she knew. "I wish them well." her final comment filled with sincerity she might like to meet them one day. presuming she was allowed. The magus was surprisingly eccentric she wondered what kind of female would take such an odd male.

Gabriel remained silent as Midna rambled off on a various amount of topics. It was well within her right to be in wonder of such a new place. He had seen many awakenings and many were stunned. All showed it in their own way.
When his name was disputed he only have her a cold glance. His crimson eyes narrowed a little, but still he said nothing to her. It was something others had called him, something he had introduced himself as often.
Finally when she had made her declaration to stay, Gabriel nodded. It was her choice. The decision was a favorable one. The tribe would be more lively with more inhabitants running about with their trade.
"My tribe is my family." He corrected her. Though, yes, he did have a soul-bound family and some cubs whom he did find more endearing than anything else. That tid-bit was something for another day. Perhaps a question someone else would by chance answer. Gabriel was not one for idle chit chat.
"May you be well." Gabriel spoke his farewell before turning about face and launching himself from an elevated rock. She seemed capable enough to find her way around.

Dracul, he still wasn't going to tell her his name was he? Well conversation for another time she guessed. Midna smiled approvingly tilting her head slightly to the side as he spoke of his family being the tribe as a whole. The Nantlil quite fancied the idea herself and it seemed quite appropriate. She noted he was making his way to leave. The Nantlil gave him a little bow, as he bid her farewell did the same "See you latter." Midna gave her signature mysterious smile.
Midna watched him leave and once he was out of sight she gazed back over the city. The Nantlil was alone again, and alone with her thoughts. Midna had quite a bit to think about. Now what she should do here to occupy her time? the lady wandered The city place looked interesting. There was seemingly a lot to do as the city rose up however, the thought of physical labor didn't appeal in the least. There should be something for fitting somewhere certainly. She was still new and had yet to find learn her own skill set. Midna was certain she'd know once she found it. It was strange she was woven new but there were some things in which she new almost instinctively.
Midna leaped to another elevated rock preparing for another flight above the city. Launching herself from her perch she opened her wings wide catching the air underneath causing her to rise above the city. Slowly descending amongst the city, Perhaps a walk among the streets would help. It seemed quiet right now. Still midna padded on through the roughly made streets. Though what little light there was in this place seemed to be put there by a brown Tahtll with odd almost plant like markings. He was working with a fungus? it glowed brightly to her, strange she could see just fine without it. What was the purpose of such a thing? Midna stood a distance away and watched the brown Tahtll work. [334]

Carmilla had little adventure as of late. Her project of overseeing the castle's internal endeavors had been something that had lacked grabbing her interest. The one thing she had found she liked to watch within the castle was not present. A pity. With a long sigh she glanced out over the lower levels of the city. It appeared as if there was the normal quiet and uneventful going on down there. The subtle glow of the luminescent fungi lining the walls were still in the same pattern as they had been before. Beyond the courtyard of the castle the Theater was quieter than it normally was. Carmilla had noticed the lack of the wind and dark b'alam coming and going. They must be up to something. "hmn?" She hummed as something caught her eye. There was something new, or rather, someone new to the caves! Immediately she watched Gabriel bring a nantlil new to the tribe into the courtyard. Carmilla watched the brief interaction before their Lord flew off and away. Probably to spend time with his mate. She scoffed inwardly. Well, he wouldn't have time to give a new comer a tour. And- Carmilla smiled inwardly. Her outer composure remained regal and calm. Once the other nan took off Carmila took flight as well. Her wings stretched wide while she lept from the balcony and glided forward with elegant ease. Once the nan made her landing, Carmilla circled around and made her own not too far off from the Tahlil and the Nan. "Here is a face I have yet to know." Carmilla spoke with a soft breath. Her voice was soft as silk and as sweet as honey. Her posture held a regal stance to it while she stood and waited for a response. This one was definitely new to the tribe.

Midna continued to watch the oddly patterned Tahtll work. Some of the Tahtll's markings seemed to pulsate when the light changed around him or he moved. It seemed similar to how her own marking's changed in the light. However, watching this Tahtll care for the fungi was rather boring and she yawned stretching her wings. No sooner was she about to move on did another Nantlil land nearby. Midna regarded her with regal curiosity.
This one piqued her interest and the earthy Tahtll was quickly forgotten. This pale Nantlil felt strangely similar to her in some ways. The pale Nantlil carried herself both regally and gracefully, the cadence of her words too was quite likable as though she was a kindred spirit. Though only time would tell if such a feeling was true they'd only just met. "Midna," she answered with equal poise. Midna then gave the white nan a small bow of greeting. The pale nan was clearly not as new as she. Meaning the white nantlil knew more about this place. Such information which would be beneficial to Midna. Perhaps she'd be shown around a bit as well since Dracul had just flown off with simply a good bye leaving Midna to explore on her own.. "Who might you be?" She asked with her mysterious smile after a pause. Midna had little to no knowledge of the hierarchical structure of the city or that it even had one other than Dracul as the leader. [246]
Mordrm carefully tended to the luminecent fungi placing it in just the right spots on the finished areas; illuminating what needed to be illuminated. Though it was placed it still needed to be tended almost constantly, if it died the light went out. The light was for those of non dark descent that often came visiting the city. There had been unsurprisingly many coming and going and all of them needed light to work. Mordrem had to keep up as best he could. Those creatures who needed the light. Pulling the Tahtll from his thoughts a presence disturbed him. Mordrem furrowed his brow sensing someone watching him. It was irritating as he prefered to work by himself undisturbed. Mordrem prefered the company of his subterranean plants to that of other Nantlil and Tahtll.
A low growl escaped him as soon as another landed nearby, My it was busy tonight. Mordrem had intentionally come when there wasn't supposed to be anyone around to bother him.
As the two Nantlil began to have a conversation Mordrem couldn't stand it anymore. "If you don't mind." he grumbled sternly turning around from his work. "Some of us must bring light to this city." [199]

Carmilla gave Mordrem a brief deathly glare, managing to convey deep rage and frustration through only her eyes. Her lips remained delightful as they had been when she was exchanging glances with the new Nan. How elegant this one was. When her sights returned to Midna it was as if the anger had disappeared, or lingered upon the rude mushroom tender. "Midna, A pleasure to meet you my dear." She merely nodded in a sweet greeting. Every movement Carmilla made was as elegant as silk, nothing seemed out of place. It was almost hypnotic. "My name is Carmilla, a personal assistant to our Lord." She hummed. "perhaps I can be of assistance? It would be nice to know the city, it would make it seem more home if it were familiar."

"The pleasure is all mine Carmilla." she answered with equal elegance and grace. though for a moment a light confusion crossed her features "Our lord?" Midna looked to camillia for an explanation. what exactly did that mean? Midna had no lord, at least as far as she new. Midna was a newly woven after all and only just learning how to fly. "There seems to be much I do not know." though even so she would love to learn. This place felt wonderful, there was something about it and midna couldn't quite place a paw on it.
Mindna's interest was piqued upon watching camillia exchange glances with the tah. quite graceful this nan was wasn't she? "You handled that, tee, hee." He was quite gruff a gruff tah, perhaps she might find out why latter. he seemed awfully passionate about his work. Midna gave Camillia a light nod of her head after a pause "It would be," Midna knew nothing of this growing city other than it was growing right out of the cave wall, which was quite intriguing.
That Tah before had been meticulously working on setting up light. Midna could see just fine, she couldn't fathom why they actually needed lights in the city. Even the glow of the fungi seemed quite bright, but at least it didn't hurt her eyes like earlier. As gorgeous as the sky was it was unpleasant to gaze upon it when it that horrid ball was in the sky even dipping below the horizon the halo was enough to hurt. [258]

Carmella could already tell that, despite Midna's new presence, she carried herself very well. She was elegant, she was classy, and she would surely have a grand place within the tribe. "Our Lord Gabriel. He is charged with watching over those in his domain. He may seem callous, but I can assure you, he is merely taking his job seriously. It is for the best for us, my dear." She hummed. "But that understanding will all come in time. Until than, I will help you assimilate, if that is what you desire." Carmella smiled softly. A smile that could make the flowers bloom, or melt ice. Every word she spoke was sincere and almost its own melody. The other b'alam was left unnoticed. If he dare try anything, she knew she could always bring it up with Gabriel...
