What is with this world? Are these humans insane?
"You! Sitting at the chess table! Stand up with your hands behind your head!", said a police officer. wahmbulance
Is he addressing me? The nerve! This lowly human has no idea who I am? Perhaps I should educate the simple human. I stand up and begin to speak when the cop yells "Freeze mutant!", and fires his weapon. The bullet strikes me in the shoulder. I look at the small hole as my body pushes the bullet out of the wound. I glare at the officer and say "My dear officer. You are well above your pay grade. I would suggest you simply walk away before you get hurt." burning_eyes
The cop looks at me and yells, "Are you threatening me"? He calls for backup. I look at his gun and begin to heat the metal up. He drops the gun while running yelling for backup, and how HE's being attacked by a mutant! Indeed?
I decide to teleport away. I should see if my lab exists in this reality.
I teleport into the sky above the commotion, and fly out toward the ocean. As I draw closer to the coordinates of my island I realize HE is here. He still has it cloaked. This must be a reality where BayLa and I didn't land on Earth, which means we could still be on ZorLa? I was hoping to avoid this...

*** New York Newspaper Articles the next day have the following headlines:
New York Times: "Mutant Attacks On The Rise! Central Park Cop Attacked"
New York Daily News: "Explosions Detected On Atlantic Ocean? Mutants Fight To Blame"
New York Post: "NY'ers Fearful Of Mutant Threat" ***

Miami, Florida...
0600

Wade flopped the newspaper down as he was eating in his robe. Well dammit! Why is it everytime I read a news paper, some horrible yet convenient plot-twist-like situation occurs?(Perhaps its because you wanted in on this whole "good guy" bit?) Well, come on can you blame me? Fine I guess I look into this whole incident thing! Wade then got up and prepared his gear,he was going to New York.

"I always hate starting to build my lab. Especially without my BayLa. I suppose I'll have to construct a new A.I. core. Unfortunately I will need parts from the nearest city."

Leaving my island base behind is no problem. The cloak works fine. Probably the only thing HE did right. The whole island is currently being reworked using his rather lame robot force. Upgrades are definitely needed.
After flying for a short duration, I land on the east side of Manhattan. I morph to blend into the general population. Now to get the parts I need. If I remember from the other dimention, China Town was pretty good to get my parts. No questions asked. Cash and carry. Unfortunately it isn't what I would call the garden spot of New York.
I check out the street sign. It reads "Elizabeth Street". If I remember correctly this is where the Elizabeth Street Mall is. I should be able to get some goods here.
No sooner do I step through the door do I see an altercation between a man with knife, and an old man. Pretty brazen concidering there's a police headquarters no more than 50 feet away!
They speak Cantonese. Something about being cheated. Apparently the old man gave the guy defective goods and won't give a refund. Seems return policies have gotten pretty rough.
Several police officers with guns drawn appear behind me and tell the man to freeze.
I continue to take the escalator down to the lower level. A cop yells "Freeze". Next thing I know I get shot through the shoulder. My eyes flare as I turn my head around and glare at the cops. They begin to step back.
I really need to keep my temper in check someday...
Holding my hands out to the cops I create a blast of dark energy which knocks them to the ground, causing them to shiver with cold. The guy with the knife tries to flee, but is quickly subdued by a similar blast of dark energy I like to call "shadow blast".
Looks like I'm not going to get any peace today. Quickly I run out the door and duck into a nearby alley. Pressing my back to the wall, I meld with the shadows. The cops literally run right past me without seeing me. Sometimes the old tricks, are the best ones.
Looks like this is one area I can cross off my last today. Seeing as how there's more cops outside the mall. Looks like the arrested that knife guy though.
Guess I'll take the subway uptown. It would be faster to fly, but entirely conspicuous.

Wade suited up, his twin pistols, dual katanas and ammo ready he slapped his 'porterNext stop New York! The porter brought him about ten feet above a dumpster in ChinaTown. (You know I'm sure there's a joke some where in this.) Shut up you, I'm trying to be all detective like.Wade peered around and had to shake his head as he swore he thought he saw something meld off the wall...

Moving my way down the stairs of the subway, I wait among the various people. Looking human will certainly help me blend in.
After a few minutes the subway arrives. True I could fly, or teleport, but this is the least conspicuous.
I step inside the subway, and stand near the doors as the car is a bit crowed with people. I feel as though something is... off. I look around but nothing seems out of the ordinary, aside from the man with his hands down his girlfriends pants. Only in New York can you be so blatant, and no seems to give a damn.
A few stops and I should be able to get the equipment I need.

After gathering the equipment I need to star the refit of his lab, I decide to hide in an alley. Not seeing anyone, or sensing nearby mutants, I deem it safe to teleport directly to my island base.
It's odd, but since coming to this dimension I've had this feeling of something not right. Something off. I can't explain it. Perhaps I should contact her? It IS why I've traveled the multiverse after all.
:sigh:
No, not yet.
I need to work on fortifying my island. Lucky for me the robots have nearly completed construction of the defense systems, and the A.R.M.A.D. series. Hey, go with what works I always say.
I need to get the A.I. core up and running. Perhaps once I do, I'll download the "Xavier Protocols" to the system from my back up micro drive.
Soon. Very soon...

Finally! After weeks of repairs and upgrades, my lab is finally up and running. I will be doing several more upgrades as time goes on, but for now it should suffice.
"Computer? Bring the island defenses online. A.R.M.A.D. units on standby. Cloaking defense shield to maximum output."
"Orders recieved, acknowledged, and implemented", echos a computerized voice.
"Computer? Please load file 113-A: Spatial Trans Universal Galactic Map, as well as file designated 666: Xavier Protocols versions 1 and 2, and execute"
Files display on a computer screen the size of a wall, showing various individuals, along with stats, and various notes.
TarSi studies a few in particular when he suddenly looks up and over his shoulder.
"She's on the move. I can sense her. I doubt she can sense me from this distance, but then again...? I really should introduce myself to her. After all, she is why I've traveled across time, space, and various dimensions. Still, perhaps now is not the right time."

"Here's to hoping things in this dimension are the same as the others. If so this will have a good chance of working
I can't think of any other way of making contact without resulting in a negative confrontation.
Computer? Initiate X-Men Backdoor Protocol. Send following message encoded to DNA of subject A-2. Message as follows to be displayed upon system activation.
'If you wish to know, contact me on this signal.'
Encode and send."
The computer goes through various cycles of beeps, then goes silent once it finishes.
TarSi folds his hands behind his back as he looks up at the blank screen.
"And now we wait for the reply. Don't disappoint me Miss Grey."

At another time and different day...

Jean Grey sat alone in her office, going over several stacks of paperwork that the Professor had left in his wake. Realizing she had started to re-read one passage over and over again. She figured it was best to take break. To step away from her desk for a while to come back later with a fresh start. Setting down the pen in her hand, she was in the process of scooting the chair back when an message appeared along her computer screen. Turning slightly in her chair, she tapped in the command to open up the message and read the following:
"If you wish to know, contact me on this signal." At first Jean thought this message may have been one of the students or staff members playing a prank joke with her. Speaking out loud to the computer mainframe, "Cerebro, please identify the person who sent this message please." On occasion, she had received anonymous messages from people who had not come to terms of accepting her return. Or this was a way for people to voice their opinions of people coming back from the dead. Sighing patiently as she heard Cerebro respond. "Messenger origin cannot be traced. Neither is the message from the estate. I advise, proceed with caution Miss Grey." The response from Cerebro definitely made a eyebrow raise. Who was trying to contact her? And why? Chewing slightly upon her lower lip, staring at her computer monitor curiously. Her fingertips hung idly above the respond button of her keyboard. Curiosity killed the cat off for sure as she hit the respond button, waiting to see what would happen next. Knowing fully well, any actions done on her behalf has consequences.

A few moments after Jean Grey sends her reply does a message appear:
"Come Alone. Central Park. Sit at public park chess tables. Tomorrow. Noon."

Wade found himself lost, the trail gone cold. (Well this is a bang up job, eh) (So what do we do now?) "Well given a mutant is being attacked and this is New York like every other story, lets go see what Chuck and the Leather Fighter are up to!Wade slapped his porter and in a BAM! he was in front of the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters. He saw a intercom infront of the front gate and he pressed the button down...

In the deep dark recesses of one of his many labs the man known as Dr. Nathaniel Essex, better known in other social circles as Mr. Sinister, sat in a strangely constructed chair and observed multiple events through out the world through various surveillance equipment he constructed himself to keep tabs on various individuals, primarily mutants that interested him, his studies, and various purposes. Jean Grey, Scott Summers in particular were always at the top of his list of interest, as well as various members of the X-Men. Unknown to them, Essex was watching and observing them.

His feed from the Xavier School for Higher Learning, particularly Jean Grey, caught his eye as he observed her checking her messages, and he decided to intercept and read what she was reading.

After reading the message exchange between the unknown party, and Jean Grey made him grin a little. As his eyes flashes a bright crimson red for a brief moment. This other party trying to get Jean Grey's attention, peaked his interest. He would continue to observe the current events unfolding for now...he would find out about this other party soon enough.
