Frostbite
She had been so worried that she wouldn't be able to locate Ash through the storm, even when it had quieted through her beginning to calm down. The pale female had been flying only for a few minutes, but already all manner of anxieties were fulling her to go forward, to go faster, to chase Ash down to the heat and horror of the rest of the Isle, if she had to!
But soon enough, she saw it wasn't necessary. Well, she heard it first. Her eyes watered when she heard Ash calling her and her flight pattern faltered when she heard the orange lioness claim that she forgave her. Why did Ash's forgiveness mean so much to the bitter lioness? Why was Ash so important to her after just knowing her for a few minutes?
And why... Why did it hurt so much when Ash apologized, as though she had done something wrong? With a leap and a bound, Frostbite had located her companion and she landed in front of her. Then, her legs buckled and Frostbite fell upon the snow, crying just a tail length away from where Ash stood.
"I'm sorry, I-I'm sorry!" She keened, "Don't leave, Ash! Please don't leave!" Her shoulders and wings shook violently as the frosty lioness tried to repress the ugly sobs that wanted to wrench their way out of her.
Why had Ash caused her to fall apart like this? Why was she acting like such a fool? Why, why, why? It was awful, but she had stopped Ash from leaving... for now, at least and that... that was a comforting thought.
