Elevators & Stairs ~ Up and Down the Tower
Even though Crystals have penetrated the stair wells, all in all, the stairs and elevators of the Eiffel Tower are seemingly unaffected.
However, since the Star Sapphire Ring made its home on the Tower's top floor there have apparently been sighting of an Orange Glowing Figure making is way through the Tower. Larfleeze has been prowling the Tower for Treasures it seems...
There are three ways around the Eiffel Tower:
The Stairs: Ground Floor ~ 2nd Floor
Minimum Travel Time to 1st Floor: 4 Posts per Person
Minimum Travel Time to 2nd Floor: 6 Posts per Person
The stair start at the ground floor and up to the 2nd Floor at around 115m. This staircase consists of 704 steps. The view is famous for it's seemingly endless depiction of Paris.
Interesting fact: Did you know that originally it was a spiral staircase which linked the second floor to the top? Gustave Eiffel would use it to reach the office that he‘d set up for himself! As it had become obsolete, the staircase was taken down in 1983.
The Lifts: Ground Floor ~ 2nd Floor
Minimum Travel Time to 1st Floor: 3 Posts per Person
Minimum Travel Time to 2nd Floor: 5 Posts per Person
There are three lifts going from the ground floor, beginning in the North, East and West pillars. They can stop at the 1st or 2nd Floor but not the top. 2 of the lifts are open design but the others are closed due to safety or maintenance precautions. These lifts are a lot bigger than the ones from the 2nd Floor to the Top in order to ferry large amounts of tourists up and down whilst lowering queues.
The Lifts: 2nd Floor ~ 3rd Floor:
Minimum Travel Time: 2 Posts per person
In order to get to the top floor, one must change lifts on the 2nd floor where there are lifts to the top floor at a huge 276m. Due to the narrowness of the Towers Upper Level, this elevator is smaller than the previous set. It is still bigger than your average elevator though.
