Hey, just wanted to quickly say that of all the guilds I've seen in Gaia, plot-wise this is by far one of my favorite ideas that I've seen. I really love the unique sci-fi take that you took with the plot.
I'd love to partake in this and start RPing here, but I'm not sure where to start. I was considering creating an Escala and a human of some sort. When I'm done creating them, location wise where do you think the best area to post first would be?

With the reboot in hand, I'm putting in my favorites among the old and setting in some new places. Whether you mean Escala, Human, or a Hybrid, which isn't uncommon, they generally stay away from places like Stratos, or anywhere too caught up in crime. They're in abundance in places like Earth's capitol of Mithras, and I've yet to name the capitol for the Escala homeworld of Cerus, which would also be a viable location.
Although, occupation does play a hand in location. I have mentioned the Surveyor Corps, a branch of Genesis that ventures into Frontier Space in search of new places to colonize. The crew of the GSV Eminence could use some people, and Genesis is all about knowledge, so Escala naturally tend to join.

Well, I figured they'd stay away from crime given their nature. Perhaps my character could be a part of the Surveyor Corps then. Also, you mentioned hybrids? Does this mean I could have a character who is half-Escala and half-human?

Yes, of course you can. For centuries, the two races have coexisted in harmony; they probably have the most hybrids out of the other pairings. Ves Nuada and his sister Val Nuada, for example, are both 1/4 Escala.
