- Lane finished off another piece of the pile and grabbed some napkins to wipe his fingers off with. He wasn't very conservative and would only wipe one or two fingers on a napkin before grabbing another to dab at another mess that he had made. Crumbling them up he threw them on a pile next to his sports drink. He moved his tongue to move around the piece of food in his mouth and swallowed it when it was free. It was disgusting and he hated doing that but it was bothering him when he chewed. He glanced over at Salt to see if she had noticed the nasty little movement. She rejected his second offer to share his food with her and wondered if she was one of those girls on a diet. He tilted his head as he looked at her, putting his hands on the table. He lowered his voice a bit and looked around in case anybody was listening in on their conversation. He raised a hand and cupped it around his mouth. "Are you on a diet?" He asked of her, lowering his hand back down. He pointed towards the kitchen with his thumb. "They're salads and fruit over there if you don't want to eat meat." He said, taking a glance at his pile of food. Honestly, there weren't any greens on it and it only consisted of the fried stuff, bread, and other junk foods. "Here," he said to her, scooting back in his chair as he stood up. He wiped his hands on his pants and held a hand out to her. "Let's go get something for you to eat." He didn't want to seem pushy but he honestly believed that eating lunch was one of the most important things to do in a day. He wasn't going to have his roommate go and starve.
The thought suddenly hit him. 'What if she doesn't have the money to eat?' He asked himself before looking at her, wondering if she was going to take his hand. "I don't mind paying for you." He offered with a concerned smile. Not once did he think that maybe she wasn't hungry at the time.
