Maria was going to react but was too slow to save Kora. To have pretended all his life to be a man of peace and then do something so terrible. The head of Kora, it's eyes rolled backwards, struck anger into Maria. She called for Maelstrom but by the time it arrived at her hand he'd been thrown from the window by his own hand. Maria's face went apathetic as he was killed by some random fake light. Maria sighed and looked, seeing only his helmet left behind. She collected it with a quick manipulation of water, a souvenir of another fallen king, indirectly killed by her words. A headache began to take root, and her mark burned a little hotter than usual. Maria looked to the skies and wondered why. She turned to the Emperor and knealed before him, quickly standing as the Queen of all Kenai before him. When he said what was next Maria took an ornery smile and looked to Dominus, who was somewhat sad to see the forestry go, only for the deku ent babies. Maria squinted as she felt a disturbance and turned to see Amias, hearing all the titles for the SECOND TIME. Dominus gave a hearty roar and flapped his wings in protest. I'm getting tired of that. But it is nice to meet you, I assume. What is it you require? she'd ask touching his shoulder and beckoning for him to continue.

Seashell Bond Dominus the Unbound

Passives

      • Seashores
The Mer are hyper-aware of everything around them, their five senses deeply active. They feel the light touching their shoulder, the running about of the small creatures, everything. They're very perceptive, moreso than most races. Furthermore, when listening through a conch (many Mer carry one everywhere), they can hear things for hundreds of meters around them.

      • Seashells
The Mer are capable of speaking to all sea creatures, although they have the closest connection to the small ones. Tiny little creatures like crabs, shrimp and the littlest of fish, they often reach out to the Mer to protect them from the predators of the sea. A young Mer will often form a powerful bond with one of these creatures, and this enables them to quite literally share their longevity with this creature. The lifespan of the small creature they bond with will increase, making them as long-lived as their Mer companion, although they will also die if their Mer dies (though the Mer will not die if the companion dies). This life-long companion counts as a pet rather than a summon, but at high ranks, it can become extremely deadly.

The creature grows with you in ranks, and will also rapidly grow in size, into something that is simply unusual for its species. It should be noted that this creature will evolve into being capable of breathing/walking on land. Some animals are obvious; a lobster, a crab, etc. Less obvious ones such as regular fish will evolve in highly strange ways, some of them even turning out to look nearly parallel to a Mer. These creatures can have their own movesets. Furthermore, they can eventually, if desired, take up the summon slot and the seashell slot -- which would enable them to grow in power immensely.

      • Masterful Dragon Riding
The dragoon must spend a considerable amount of time riding on their dragon, and must know how to ride on them from every single part of the dragon without falling off. This takes a considerable amount of time to do, but once accomplished the dragoon will be able to accomplish incredible feats, such as holding onto a single dragon spine with one hand while your dragon is in an upside down position mid flight, whilst still being able to use your weapon proficiently.

      • Telepathy
As the name implies, it is a simple form of telepathy between you and your dragon. Thoughts, images, emotions, sounds... pretty much anything can be felt in this link, and it is a constant link. If the dragon is hurt, the dragoon can sense it, and vice versa. This however, also prevents the two from lying to each other, as they can see what the other is truly thinking.

      • Soft Landing
A passive all dragoons must learn, as without learning this skill, when they performed their super high jumps they would simply splatter against the ground. Once this technique is learned the dragoon can survive falls from incredible distances, and come out unharmed.

He didn't really know what to say to the person that just came in. West was sort of hoping to be able to just relax after all that just happened, but nope, no rest for the wicked. He sat through the introductions, the titles, whatever. Yep, conquerer of the Third Plane. That was at least a little bit more accurate now. "You're a Pagan," he said with little hesitation. He was sniffing, and looking. He had Chi Sense and the Lycan's Magic Sensing on top of that. This man's energy didn't feel like anything else he'd encountered before - except for one entity. His energy was circumvented and it flowed by his own particular design. The flow was different for each Pagan. He remembered that. "You must be rather old indeed, then; 817 and some few days, considering the passing of the year. Oh my. A stallion in the bedroom, I'm sure." He leaned back against the wall and grinned. He didn't feel like grinning, honestly, but it was a decent placeholder for the actual s**t feeling he was submerged into at the moment.

"So, you know that approaching mass amounts of energy can sometimes get you killed, yes? Is there any better motive for why you're here?"

After hearing their rather...generic greetings--though he could only assume that were the case due to the unyielding volume of visitors they catered to--Amias would only sigh before responding to their general question: 'What the ******** do you want?' "To be truthful, I had hoped that my first meeting with the both of you would have come with more...favorable circumstances. Although it may betray his wishes to do so, I have come to inform you that there has been a change in Nocturne's ruling party. Alistair, the former king of Nocturne, has been usurped by the Fallen Angel God himself, Zachariah." After briefly scanning the area, Amias also noted another visitor. From his vision as a diabolus, he could tell that this man's aura and physical ability both lacked to basically anyone else in the room; disregarded.

"I give you this information not only because Zachariah may actually want his name spread around, but to give you a fighting chance. The demon population in Nocturne is powerful. I fear, even moreso than your empire may be able to match without being organized first. So I have come here today to give you a chance to prepare yourselves should the worst come. My visit is brief, but the message is clear; gods are not meant to rule this world, Emperor West, Queen Maria. I find your drive, strength, and ambition far more suitable to unite Axiom than the power of beings that should have stayed in their own planes." With a polite bow, Amias would finish speaking. If the two had nothing more to say to him, then the man would simply vanish from whence he came. But if there were more...that they wanted to know, he was certainly up for open forum.

                                                            • Glory To Me
Pagans are very... noble. They have the air of a King or Queen about them; even a divine. This comes from this particular ability. 'Glory To Me' is a mental allure that they constantly release from their vessel, similar to an Incubi's seduction, but weaker. Rather than seducing people, this ability fools their mind. It can make them see things that aren't real. In fact, they can even feel these things. This ability is literally impossible to ignore or break out of, but it serves little benefit other than prestige. A Pagan will often use this power to make themselves appear divine; the sun will rise behind them, their clothing will flow and shine with the breeze, they'll just seem so... God-like. They can even change their appearance using this, although it's a temporary thing. This ability can have some uses in battle, though. For example, if a Pagan is to cast a shadow over themselves, it'd make them harder to see. If they make the sun shine behind them, they can make their enemy flinch away from the overbearing light. They can also fool enemies into thinking they've struck a shield or something like that, although that sort of manipulation over reality is something that only Pagans who focus on this type of power can do.

                                                            • The Sight
Just like their counterpart the Diabolus can read the auras about them and see things for what they are. This allows them to pinpoint an opponent's energy level(rank), along with the ability to naturally see energy.

                                                            • The Mark of the Devil
Each of the Diabolus bloodline maintains the "Mark of the Devil" which signifies their resemblance to their Satanic bloodline. These things are something which cannot simply be ignore and each little trait grants the Diabolus a little gift of a sort. It is a shame that they are born within no more or no less than two traits.
Claws/Talons - They fingernails maintain a fixed length of two inches. They are more like hardened, black, obsidian claws than fingernails and can tear through flesh like paper.
Fangs - Their canines, both top and bottom, are significantly noticeable to the point of which they protrude from the lip. These fangs maintain a certain gland which fills with the blood of the Diabolus and can spew it in a mass stream of acidic black blood to naturally defend.
Horns - To put it simply the horns are a strong asset and maintain an entire move set for their soul capabilities. The strength of the horns, upon birth, are equivalent to strength of a C-Ranked material. With each rank they grow til they cannot. (ex. Trainee=C, Novice=B, Adept=A, Expert=S, Master=SS, Sage=SSS)
Tail - Like the horns it is an asset which can maintain an entire skill-set to itself. It works on the same exact system as the Horns do except with speed. It has, essentially, a boost of +2spd. on its own attacks.

It was entirely true that more often than not, giant energy signatures meant death was in bloom. And a powerful, if foolish king had just killed himself and his apparently more powerful yet weaker wife. Hell Maria and West were in the same room, with a huge dragon outside. There was potential death all over the place. Kain entered, Maria becoming annoyed with people just waltzing in. But Maria just smiled and greeted him until he started speaking. Maria's face turned dire, and when Kain started speaking she would hold up a hand to stay his tongue. Important things were happening at that moment and Maria refused to let it be interrupted by speech of foolishness like Korok. When he finished Maria looked at Raphael and then back to Amias. "One problem down, one HUGE problem down, and another one raises it's ugly head. Kaminae and the mer were one thing, but another Nation, led by a STRONGER DEMON?" Maria facepalmed. Dominus roared at the news, eager to go and do battle with the god-turned-king. "Έξω από το τηγάνι ..." she said to herself.

Amias sighed, running a hand through his hair before responding to Maria. Emperor West had only given an acknowledging nod before bowing out, leaving the two relevant parties to discuss what was happening in Nocturne. "Unfortunately, it's true. Before I left Nocturne to deliver this news, Zachariah bid everyone in the area to either bow or be enslaved to the demons he brought with him. If you are to consider an attack on Nocturne...you'll need to potentially enlist the help of angels. And that, your majesty, would be more difficult than I could possibly explain to you. Just from witnessing the power that Zachariah wields--even the small portion that I was able to detect was completely impossible--I can imagine that angels on par with his power would be incredibly difficult to sway. In order for anyone to be successful in taking Nocturne--or destroying it, for that matter--Zachariah would have to be preoccupied. Distracted by an opponent or happening of such scope that the fate of Nocturne doesn't concern him. From what I've seen, that would be the only way." His point was rather clear by now; to defeat Zachariah, they would need the help of angels. And the likelihood of that...was so pitifully low that even one as old as the pagan couldn't offer up a plan.
