Now let us just hope they can keep going in the right direction. And not go back to their usual silly antics. Cepheith snickered, quite content to lay beside the bronze and feel the warm sun on her back.
The thought to pull away had been there, but there was such a feeling of comfort just staying where she was that Narisa listened to that part of her brain instead. And, okay, she may have thought about such a thing a few times before when around Set'al.
She held the brooch gingerly, turning it this way or that to get a good look at it. It reminded her very much of the two dragons outside, with how the little green gem eyes seemed to laugh. Hearing his question, she looked up at him with bright yet sweet smile. "Like it? I love it! It's perfect." She answered, looking back down at it, and then couldn't stop the laugh that bubbled out. "Was this why you were nervous?" Yes, she had know. He was her best friend... and maybe a little more now? "I love it very much. Thank you!" If they do, we will just have to push them. Again. Silly humans. Where would they be without their meddling faithful dragons? If his earlier grin had been goofy, it was nothing compared to the one that took over his expression now, a great big stupid smile that equal parts happiness and relief. She didn't hate it, or say that he shouldn't have, she loved it. All that back-and-forth with himself (and his dragon), all that worrying, had been over nothing. "Yes," he admitted with a little chuckle at himself, but he was far too preoccupied with feeling better at the moment to feel like an idiot. Relieved beyond measure, elated, he hugged her closer and laughed. "I'm glad you like it."

Cepheith rumbled softly in amusement. Yes. Yes we shall. Or just get more creative. That worked too, right?!
She spoke truth when she said it was perfect and that she loved it. And it was worth seeing that big smile appear on him. Unlike her roommate, or some of the other women she had met, Narisa didn't want or expect expensive gifts or offerings. Simple was good enough. And the simple little dragon brooch could be worn with just about anything she owned!
"You shouldn't have been!" She laughed with him, a warm feeling spreading as he hugged her. "I really do!" Narisa pulled back just enough to meet his gaze. "But next time, don't be so nervous over it! It's only me. Just your friendly fellow rider. That happens to have a devious gold dragon."
Thinking for a minute, Narisa gave Set'al a sly little smile. "So... since you're not busy... " She let the sentence hang between them, purposely, before continuing. "I can hide from my duties here, right?" A break. And Set'al's company? Yes please! Meepfur How dirty is your mind, Set'al? |8

Pipith hummed as he exhaled, shutting his blue-green eyes and relaxing. With His more or less sorted, for the moment, he could enjoy the company of his golden friend in relative peace. "Next time, huh? Already expecting more presents?" he teased. Teasing aside, though, he would happily give her anything, even knowing she wasn't someone who expected such things. It was one of the many, many things he loved about her. "I guess I could manage not to be nervous, especially if you earn them." The banter was anything but subtle or smooth, but it was fun, and being ridiculous was half the point. They were good at that. "I could be busy..." "You know, I'm sure there's some rule against harboring slacker goldriders. I should charge a fee for the risk involved!" Kyrieko Only a little. Really. >>

"Yes, next time!" She said dryly with a laugh. "And maybe you already have me spoiled, so yes. I expect more!" Of course she was teasing. And if he suddenly showered her with more gifts she was going to feel really bad. "Now hold on, mister." She poked him in the chest as best she could. "One might think you enjoy making me earn them."
Not that she was complaining. She'd kiss him again in just about a heartbeat. Which said heart seemed to skip each time she even thought on their shared kiss.
Narisa scoffed at him. "Could be. But Pipith tattled and said you weren't." Somewhat true, since the bronze had told Cepheith for them to come, clearly there was nothing immediate in the bronze pairs activities today! She just smiled confidently at him.
"Nope! I checked. But I guess if a fee for the risk of all the other suitors being jealous is needed... " There was no hesitation when she leaned up to kiss him. Again. There! That was sufficient enough payment, right? Meepfur Congratulations, Set'al! Your dragon now has bragging rights to having a gold girlfriend! Enjoy

" Might think? Of course I enjoy it!" Set'al laughed. 'Enjoy' was actually a bit of understatement. "And you started it, so you've got no one to blame for that but yourself." When Narisa revealed that Pipith had tattled, he sighed. "That dragon is the bane of my existence." All the other suitors. Shards. Fortunately, he didn't have to think about them long, because she kissed him again, and chased away any other thoughts. Maybe he hadn't been busy before, but he was now! Kyrieko Haha, he will enjoy! xP Good place to fade out, maybe?
