Just set up a ps2 emulator on my computer and I'm looking for game recommendations, any suggestions? Also I'm particularly interested in turn based strategy games like Fire Emblem or Final Fantasy Tactics so if anyone knows any on the ps2 please tell me, thanks.

Obligatory Shadow of the Colossus mention.
Okay, now that we got that out of the way, try the first two Disgaea games, Phantom Brave, Makai Kingdom, Soul Nomad and Growlanser Generations (which are the first two Growlanser games) if you want some SRPG goodness.
Shadow Hearts and Shadow Hearts Covenant. The Judgement Ring system was hella fun in battle.
Also, try Vagrant Story! It's a Playstation game, but it's set in the same world as Final Fantasy Tactics.

Sadly, I haven't played any strategy games on ps2. But i could recommend
FFX
MGS 3 Snake eater
SSX3 (Seriously, this game was soooooo much fun)
FF12 (using your clan was soo fun)
I can't think much more. Sorry
But if you're into ff tatics you should get a gba emulator and get final fantasy tatics advance. I'm playing it right now and its sooo fun.

Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories,
Phantom Brave.
La Pucelle: Tactics
All of those are good tactic games...
Now, some other games in other categories, but still fun games are Katamari Damacy, Tales of Symphonia, Silent Hill, Persona 3 and 4, Ico, Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter, Okami and TimeSplitters 2.

I recommend all the .hack// series games. They get so addicting. Also try Grandia 3. Thats good. wink

Disgaea 1 and 2 (loved those games so much I bought a psp just to play them...)
FInal Fanatsy 12. Not a strategy game per se, but it is one of my favorite FF games.
Here's one few may have played: Jade Cocoon 2. It is a surprisingly strategic game. Loved it when I was playing PS2 all the time, back in the day. It takes a surprisingly amount of customization and strategy to craft your team...plus I kinda liked the story.

Not sure if anyone has recommended these yet, but I found them by chance at a local game shop and found them somewhat interesting. They are in the 'Strategy RPG' vein:
arrow La Pucelle Tactics
arrow Phantom Brave
A couple other hidden (or at least not very widely known) gems that I enjoy are:
arrow .Hack G.U. Vol. 1-3 [Action RPG, VERY good]
arrow Odin Sphere [GORGEOUS, think Dragon's Crown, with its sidescrolling beat 'em up playing, and hand-painted art]
arrow Atelier Iris 1-3 [RPG with an awesome alchemy system.]
arrow Grim Grimoire [a 2D interesting strategy game. Like, 'hire' fighters for your side, take over the opponents' base kind of strategy]
Those are the ones I'd say to give a shot, if you like those kinds of games.

If you like any thinking games with a bit of survival (best with friends) You should get resident evil outbreak (file 2 also their both fun).
And how much did it cost you to get an emulator and how much did you have to do? If I pay you will do it for me I just buy everything xD sweatdrop but seriously cause I tried and no luck.
