The suplex had given Ares control for the first time in this match. Salem was quite literally on the ropes. He approached, looking to continue his onslaught with a German suplex. Softening Salem up with more technical maneuvers (or, at least, recognized wrestling techniques) seemed the best plan here.

Salem was struggling for breath after having been thrown across the ring, but Ares wasn't giving the former Asylum Champion any wiggle room, on the assault to try and grapple "The Deuce" for another suplex from the other side of the squared circle, this time. But as the "God of War" went to initiate the grapple, Salem swiftly tried to counter by letting go of the top rope to throw an elbow back into the bridge of his opponent's face!

The elbow slammed hard into the bridge of Ares' nose, forcing the God of War to release the waistlock. He took a step back, the sharp impact of the blow momentarily interrupting his attack.

With Ares disoriented from the elbow off the ropes, Salem looked to capitalize by clutching the top cable with both hands before jumping off the second rope...flipping backward to try taking the "God of War" down to the mat with a Lionsault!

The unorthodox maneuver paid off for the Most Wanted Man In Wrestling, as the Lionsault connected and sent Ares down to the mat. The crowd clapped in appreciation. Salem may have been kind of a d**k, but he had some nice moves.

Salem landed square on Ares' chest following the Lionsault, and wasn't wasting any time - hooking the lad's leg while leaning a shoulder into his upper-body to try and leverage a pinfall early on in this match!

The referee began the count as the fans chanted along.
One!
Two!
Ares tossed Salem off of him, utilizing his raw power. It appeared as though the God of War still had quite a bit left in the tank.

Salem failed to get the quick cover, but didn't waste time being disappointed by it as Ares bucked a shoulder up, the M.W. Deuce already scrambling to his feet. With a series of vicious toe kicks, Croft tried jabbing his prone opponent shoulder over shoulder and out of the ring!
