Ausica
A simple shrug dismissed the content of the reply Hyde was given. "Some people really could use a violent reminder that they are mortal. Not many, but some of the otherworldly beings around could stand to bleed just a little and remember that there is always someone better." There was no pride in her words, just the simple matter-of-fact statement. She'd lived long enough to know her limits and that she should listen to her own words, but she never knew how good she was unless she pushed them to the breaking point. Then, to the dismay of many, she got better. But that was beside the point tonight.
"Baked goods!" There were a few individuals out there who would want in on this, but tonight was reserved for Ausica alone as a get-to-know-you meeting. So far the impression Hyde had was that she was more rigid than Amarante, but that was likely a crunchy outer layer to get through in order to reach the sweet, soft center. Hyde made a mental note to make chocolate turnovers as part of her batch tonight. "We'll just see if your stock can stand up to both of us baking. And I hope you're prepared to eat a lot of sweets. In our brief interaction I have added three more pastries onto my original four." Diets were not allowed when Hyde was around!
