Alesis chuckled softly when she gave him a bump, his tail flicking softly. "Okay, lead the way." He had averted his gaze briefly from the color that had rose to his cheeks when she had called him charming. He didn't think it was being charming, just being polite really. Was that really so rare in this city? If so, that was a shame.
When she explained that in her line of business that others could be jerks and unruly, he felt a bit of relief. He had honestly thought, when she said she was in bad company, that she hung around with thugs and the likes or worse, those bots that seem to be taking over the city. He frowned a bit when she said it was also lonely. "Well, at least you are not in harms way. I am sorry to hear that there are times where you're alone. If I'm not being too forward, at any time you want company, feel free to find me and I'll be happy to join you."

Ashe laughed and pointed ahead dramatically ”Onward then, toward the glorious and hallowed halls of my ratty apartment!” -she missed the color rising to his cheeks, or she might have poked a little more fun. She wasn’t sure she’d ever met anyone like this guy- how exactly had he made it in this place? Maybe he was a downtowner, though this was awfully far out for one of them to wander from their safe little enclave. Regardless of the reason though, manners were pretty charming actually, considering the business she was in and the people she tended to deal with. Ashe herself was absolutely rough around the edges in that sense, and she was actually more on the civilized end of scavengers.
Sometimes, anyways.
Though her eyes spent more time glancing over the street in front of them and flicking down alleys as they passed than on her companion, she had an ear turned constantly toward him and their conversation. Eh, 'not in harms way' was a matter of opinion maybe. If he saw the state of some of the buildings she'd crawled into, he might feel differently. She opted not to enlighten him on that right at the moment.
"It's not all the time or anything, so it's not so bad. But you should be careful making offers like that- if you want to come along, you'd better believe I'll put you to work!" An extra set of hands, even unskilled ones, were always an asset. Even just someone outside to load things into a cart saved time. There were plenty of un-risky jobs like that she could give to someone who wanted to tag along, while she went about doing the serious stuff. Plus, she would just enjoy the s**t out of being the boss of someone other than herself. "But if you’d still be up for it, the Ruin Hunters always welcome a temporary pair of hands! Or, you know,” she went on with a grin, ”Just taking a walk is always fine too.”

Alesis had to chuckle at her 'outburst' and comment about her home. "Now, I'm sure it's not that bad." He said as he continued down the path she was leading him down. He wasn't a downtowner, he lived in this part of this city as far as he could remember. He was rather child-like and naive. True, most people here would just tell him that was just a death wish, but he saw nothing wrong with being nice and helpful to others.
When she mentioned putting him to work at taking up his offer, he just smiled warmly. He did tilt his head at her mention of these 'Ruin Hunters' though, having never heard of them, but it sure sounded interesting. "I don't mind being put to work. I love to help, I wouldn't have offered if I wasn't willing to do so.... even if it is just taking a walk."

She took a moment, at that statement, to consider the state of her living arrangements. It was a decently sized space, but in order for her to afford that square footage it was in a... somewhat less than ideal neighborhood. And there was the fact that it was big because she also needed to use the space as her warehouse, and it was constantly full of shifting piles of various junk that she clambered over and around as she went about her day. "...Nah, man, it pretty much is that bad." She laughed, obviously not bothered all that much about it. ”Well, you might see quite a bit of the place if you tag along on a job or two. Always takes a while at the end of the day to sort out whatever you bring in, keep inventory and all that.”
At the next corner they came to, she reached over and gave a light tug at Alesis’ elbow with a nod of her head to the right- while still a fair distance away from her destination, it was getting to the point where they’d have to start taking some corners, and she didn’t feel like interrupting the conversation to indicate the directions out loud. "Anyways, how about you on the home front? You seem like the type to keep things tidy, bet you've got way nicer digs than me." Not that it'd take much, really.[X]Natty-Chan[X] Since I’ve been out for so long I don’t even know if you want to keep this one going/wrap it up/forget about it, but I wanted to get a reply in anyways, get myself back in the swing of things. Just let me know if you want to continue or not, whatever is fine with me!
