Barnaby frowned at that. Yeah, he knew how Kotetsu was, so he wasn't very surprised that life had pretty much just gone back to the normal. He could only hope Kaede and Kotetsu were still mending their relationship. "Don't fall too far, Lloyds will have your head." He smiled fondly, he really did miss it, but he didn't want to come back, but if Kotetsu wasn't doing well, Barnaby worried he would have to.

Kotetsu shrugs a bit at that. He was used to Lloyds' moods by now, what with the other threatening to fire him or telling him to quit before he and Barnaby had started getting along. At least he wasn't breaking as much property as before, so he wasn't having to pay as much in damage fees. As for his relationship with Kaede, well.... That was a whole other bucket of worms he didn't want to mess with right now. "I'll be fine, Bunny. I'm not breaking things as much anymore, so there's at least that much less of a headache going on for Lloyds."

Oh, so he was going to ignore the Kaede part? Well, that was fine, Barnaby thought. He could be a stubborn old man and pretend and...it just was not worth getting angry at him, he had missed Kotetsu and didn't want their reuniting to be a fight. So for now, he would pretend too. He smiled, but maybe now it had a tinge of sadness to it. "But there's still a headache. It's okay, he needs to lighten up." He took a drink of the coffee he made for the both of them, thinking of what to say next. "So, I bet your wondering what I do now?" And he was excited to tell Kotetsu, as, well, he wanted to talk to someone about his work! And who better than the old man?

Kotetsu accepts the offered coffee, taking a sip as he thinks on things. Hearing Barnaby's question about wondering what he does, Kotetsu finds himself eagerly nodding, his attention focusing intently on the other. "Now that you mention it, yeah, I am wondering. It's been awhile, after all."

Barnaby, stood, quickly getting a few papers. It was too late for real explaining, but he figured he could go into a bit of detail. He sat back down showing kotetsu the papers to him that had basic layouts for what appeared to be ...hero suits? "I've been studying robotic engineering, and I thought of coming back, as a tech, like Saito. And maybe...maybe make a suit for you.t o keep fighting, and probably help with your clumsiness." But he wouldn't be done for awhile, he knew that, and he was secretly worried of telling Kotetsu that. Not because he would hate to not see him or anything.

Kotetsu very carefully accepts the papers that Barnaby was handing to him, looking them over and taking in as many details as he could before giving a grin and a nod and handing it back. "These are great, Bunny! I'm glad you've been doing so well!" His smile when he looked back up at Barnaby and handed the papers back was genuine. He really was happy that his friend had finally found something he enjoyed doing. "But you know you don't have to worry about me, right? I'm durable, or so Lloyd's said a few times." He gives a lopsided grin, feeling like his old self after what felt like forever, finally.

Barnaby sighed. He'd always worry for you, stupid old man. "I'm glad you like them. I haven't been doing that well, I still have a while to go." Oops. Well, that was out. "I still have a few years left." And what a pain that'd be. Barnaby seriously considered switching to alcohol. That would be counterproductive though, especially with it getting so late. "Kotetsu, you must be tired. Your free to stay over tonight." I really hope you do, is what he wanted to say.

Kotetsu raises an eyebrow at that, then shrugs. "I'm sure you'll do just fine. I mean, it's what you really want to do, right? That means you'll put your all into getting through it." He gives Barnaby one of his cheesy grins with the thumbs up sign. He blinks a bit at the offer to stay, realizing that yeah, he did feel pretty tired now. "Thanks, Bunny. I'd appreciate it. It'd certainly beat either a long walk home or making you have to drive me back when you need sleep too."

He wouldnt have minded, if that's what his friend wanted, Barnaby would have said, but he was maybe just a bit too caught up in the fact that he was seeing Kotetsu, again, and he still just had so much faith in him, so he just smiled fondly, and showed Kotetsu where to go. Yeah, that was all a bit delayed, but Barnaby had still been shocked. He gestured for Kotetsu to get up, leading him to another hall, where a stairway was. He began walking up. "So you can stay in the guest room, it's on the left, and sort of bare, we'll have to get you bedclothes. Reaching the top landing, he went in the guest room, getting out the sheets and comforter he kept in the guest closet. "And I have a spare toothbrush, so go ahead and use that. Besides pajamas, is there anything else you need Kotetsu?" And he wasn't even sure where he'd pull pajamas from.

Kotetsu follows Bunny as the other leads the way to the guest room, listening to the other for a moment before chuckling slightly. "Permission to use the shower, maybe?" The older male always brushed his teeth while he was taking a shower. And doing that would certainly cut down on alcohol breath in the morning. "All I really need for pajamas is an old work out shirt and some shorts." Hell, at his own home, there were times he slept in just the shorts or pants.

"You don't have to ask permission to shower Kotetsu." Because seriously, that would probably be rude. Then again, Kotetsu could be messy... Ah, that didn't mater tonight. He led Kotetsu to the bathroom. "If you don't want anything to sleep in, that's fine." And also not a thing Barnaby thought about, nope. "WHen your done the guest bed is down the hall, on the right. I have a few more things to write, but I can do them in my room." He smiled, a bit awkwardly now since he didn't really know what to say next. "Goodnight Kotetsu, if I don't see you when you get out."

Kotetsu looked like he was about to say something in response to being told he didn't have to ask to use the shower, but snaps his mouth shut. With great effort. Kotetsu knew he probably would be a bit miffed if someone used his own shower without him saying it was ok beforehand. "Alright, Bunny. Thanks again. It was good to see you again." He says, giving a rare, real smile, not one of his cheesy 'I'm hiding how I really feel behind this dumbass grin' smiles that he usually gave everyone. "G'night, Bunny." He says, then closes the door gently and takes his shower.
