Kotetsu T. Kaburagi heaves a bored sigh as he wanders through the city streets, hands in his pockets. It had been quite some time since he had gone out and hit up the bars, but tonight was looking like it was going to be one of those nights. He was bored, and perhaps a bit depressed that he hadn't seen any familiar faces in quite some time. Pulling his cap down over his head to hide his eyes for a bit, he grumbles and steps into the nearest bar, heading up to the stools and settling himself down on one before ordering something strong to drink. He was sure he looked rather pathetic, his shoulders all hunched up as he hunkered in his stool over his drink, but he really didn't care at that point. He downs his drink, then orders a few more, telling the bartender to keep em coming as he proceeded to try to drink himself into a stupor.

Barnaby hadn't really been to a town in awhile, setting up his new house had taken quite a bit of his time. That and he had mostly been having supplies delivered, but being who he was, and having finally unpacked the last box, Barnaby had set off to town to make a few orders and probably stop for a drink. What he hadn't expected was for him to stumble upon a very familiar,, very obvious audio. Because noone else could really pull off that green shirt and that orange black fur. And damn, he had thought he had done a good job of (making himself invisible, hiding from his problems, hiding form being a problem to kotetsu) making himself scarce.
Well, once seen, it was a problem Barnaby would deal with. So, taking a breath Barnaby approached the bar, sitting beside his dear friend who he now felt terrible for avoiding, and spoke to catch his attention. "You've decided to just cut to the point and get drunk quickly, old man?"

Kotetsu didn't even seem to notice that someone was now beside him, so intent he was on drinking. Or, at least, he hadn't paid attention to anyone being around him until he heard that damnably familiar voice and nick name. Eyes widening in disbelief, he proceeded to nearly choke to death on his drink. Flailing around a bit until he gets his breath back, he stares at Barnaby again, his entire demeanor reflecting his disbelief that the other was here. "B-Bunny? That you?" He frowns a bit, then reaches out and attempts to poke at Barnaby, thinking he'd somehow already managed to drink enough to start seeing things that weren't there. He blinks rapidly as he found his finger didn't go through the assumed hallucination. He leaps off the bar stool, then attempts to throw his arms around Barnaby, a happy grin on his face. "You're back!"

Barnaby scowled, not liking to be poked, was Kotetsu already drunk? Or had he been thinking of him often? And barely dodged the leap hug. He felt bad though, and decided to help Kotetsu up, patting him on the shoulder. He didn't really know what to say, too surprised himself still to see Kotetsu and sighing at the fact he had changed very little. "I am, I just needed to get a few things. What are you doing here Kotetsu?"

Kotetsu grins at seeing the familiar scowl on the others face for a moment. The moment only lasted until Barnaby stepped out of the way of his hug attempt and he found himself on the floor at Barnaby's feet. He pouts, standing up (with Barnaby's help) and readjusts his hat on his head. That pout turned into a frown at what came out of Barnaby's mouth and the now sulking hero plonks his butt back down on the stool he'd just vacated. "Oh, so you're really not sticking around.." He toys with one of the shot glasses in front of him for a moment, then gives a shrug at the question. "N-nothing, really. Just... wanted to do some thinking, that's all." Would he admit that he'd been thinking about missing his partner? Probably. In time. Maybe....

Barnaby sat as well, ordering a drink. "I've been thinking for awhile too." He'd had plenty of time to think actually. And Kotetsu, being vague?...okay, so he was vague wasn't he? He'd kept the declining of his powers from Barnaby for some time after all. But as of now, it was Barnaby keeping secrets, so he couldn't really complain, especially as it had already happened, and honestly, Kotetsu looked depressed enough. Barnaby ordered him another drink, not very sure what to say. "I can tell you where I live Kotetsu, and you can come over. Maybe we can catch up?" Well s**t, that was not what he wanted to say. It seems his subconscious desires had gotten the better of him

Kotetsu raises an eyebrow in slight surprise at Barnaby's offer. "You sure? I mean... you wanted to start over, didn't you? I don't want to be a pest again..." However, Kotetsu was certainly happy with the offer to catch up and visit his friend.

Barnaby wanted to joke, ask Kotetsu 'When are you not a pest?' to try and at least show the older many things were going to be fine but he had already ******** up and for once left himself pretty stunned."No, it's alright. I would have contacted you sooner or later to come over anyway" Maybe. He called the bartender over, paying both his and Kotetsu's tab and before the other could complain or feel bad that Barnaby had paid his tab (read:whine), dragged him out of the bar, over to his motorcycle, minus a side car. He couldn't help it, he hadn't thought he'd need one. "s**t, I didn't bring a second helmet." He muttered, then turned to Kotetsu. "Think you can manage without a helmet old man?"

Kotetsu was more than overjoyed to hear all this. However, he soon let out an indignant squawk of surprise as he was dragged out of the bar (didn't get to finish his drink. The nerve) and over to Bunny's motorcycle. He blinks as Barnaby speaks again, eyeing the other and the side car-less motorcycle, then hrms in thought. "I can, but, Bunny. Where will I sit?" Old man's brain didn't think to process that he'd be sitting directly behind Bunny on the motorcycle itself, nope. You're not that lucky tonight it seems, Barnaby. You'll have to spell things out for this slow old man.

....Really? He...the old man really got to Barnaby sometimes. And didn't it say alot when he just wanted to laugh and cry at that response? Yeah, he missed him. "Behind me, just wrap your arms around my waist. How did you not know that?" And he did laugh, just a bit, because it was funny, and he figured Kotetsu was still a bit drunk anyway. He got on to his bike, gesturing to the older audio to get on behind him. "Come on. but don't throw up on me if you feel sick."

He blinks a bit at that, then shrugs. "I.. ah.. am used to the sidecar, remember?" He gives a small chuckle at himself, smiling as Bunny laughed as well. He tilts his head to the side, then gets on the bike behind Bunny, leaning back and looking for something behind him to grab onto rather than the other male. Finding nothing behind him to hold onto, he heaves a sigh, then grumbles and wraps his arms around the others waist. "I'm not that drunk yet, Bunny." He mumbles good-naturedly. "Ok. Ready."Kaname Kyoto I'm betting Kotetsu will either flail around and fall off, or turn into super cling-on if the bike goes really fast. XD

Barnaby oddly enough, liked the feeling of his friend, pretty much in the position to cling to him. And now he was blushing, dammit. " Kotetsu, you'll be fine." And without another word, because now he was feeling stranger by the minute, Barnaby started his motorcycle and sped off.
He drove for what was maybe thirty minutes, careful not to go too fast or too slow, until he approached the driveway to his new house. "Sorry, we'll be a bit longer, but it's just up here" He gestured to the driveway, and at the end you could make out a decently sized spec, his house.
Yeah, Barnaby really didn't want people there, unless invited of course.
After five minutes he had arrived at his front step, and surprisingly, this home didn't appear very 'Barnaby'. For one, it actually looked homey, with only two stories (plus basement), but the color of the house was entirely Barnaby, with a red color scheme, which gave it a more pleasant feeling.
He helped Kotetsu on the bike, hoping the lamps he had also set up and installed by the entrance to the porch did not show his blush, god he hoped he wasn't blushing period. "Well, this is my home." He coughed, not looking directly Kotetsu.

Kotetsu wasn't about to admit that he was enjoying the closeness the bike rather forced him and Barnaby into. He keeps his eyes to the scenery as they head to the others house, pretty sure that he'd get himself lost anyway if he tried to drive here on his own at a later time to visit. Kotetsu was sure his eyes were as wide as saucers in his face as they drove up the long driveway to Barnaby's new home. While he didn't really need the help off the back of the bike, he still accepts it when Barnaby makes the offer. He didn't notice the blush on the others face, so intent he was on looking at the house they'd pulled up to. He grins, then glances at Barnaby. "It's certainly bigger than your apartment. It's nice. Hopefully you don't have that save aversion to furniture that you did back then?" He was teasing, for sure, although he did swear that the other just had this obscene aversion to having furniture around at times with how sparsely furnished that apartment had been.

"No, the house was too big without something inside besides a bed and a chair!" And also extremely quiet, not to mention stifling, but Barnaby didn't mention that. He led a still awed Kotetsu inside. They entered through the front, which was a straight shot to the living room, which contained a surprisingly comfortable looking couch and loveseat, a large flatscreen TV (that was not a surprise, Barnaby did like to watch all of his old friends on HeroTV), and, was a that a few photos of said friends and partner? Yes it was, Barnaby did miss all of them after all. Barnaby guided his guest to the couch, going to get a bottle of water from his refrigerator, one for both of them. He returned momentarily, handing Kotetsu a bottle. "To sober up.: he said, before the other could even ask. Taking a drink, Barnaby now looked curiously at Kotetsu. "How have things been since...since I left?" And dammit, what a bad starting question.

Kotetsu allows Barnaby to lead him into the house, gaping as he looked around. The place was certainly larger than his own apartment. And hey, Bunny DID have a couch finally! Kotetsu glances at the photos scattered around, grinning a bit as he accepts the bottled water. "I wasn't there long enough to get that drunk, Bunny, but thanks for the concern." He glances over the photos again, then blinks, taking a long drink from the water bottle as he thought of how to answer Barnaby's question. "Well, it isn't the same with you not there, Bunny. The others didn't really seem too affected, but we were a team, you know? I still work there, but, well, things've just sort've gone back to how they were before, I guess." He shrugs slightly. He'd definitely fallen in the rankings again, not that scoring points had mattered to him anyway. It was helping people that had mattered most to him.
