The Reign of Terror is a pack living up to its name. Monsters, murderers, thieves and vagabonds, the pack would risk falling into chaos if not for the strong ruling paw of Chernabog the Goblin King.
For Reign of Terror wolves, the other packs of Telk exist only because they allow them to. In order to prove its superiority over all packs, Reign of Terror sends its Lords and Ladies far and wide to collect tribute. Those who honor the Lord with a gift are allowed to exist in peace. Those who refuse are obliterated. The Order of the Rose is a pack of knightly valor and high honor. Hidden behind a nearly impenetrable wall of thorns and subscribing to a warrior's code of conduct, the pack has survived with no outside threats for a long time. Recently, newcomers have come to the pack, however...and not all of them may have honest motives. Draug Faroth is a forest-dwelling pack of proud hunters. Regarded as rough barbarians by some, these wolves believe firmly in family above all else. Their society may be less refined than some of their neighbors, but they are powerful hunters and strong warriors in their own right. --- These three packs are set on a collision course of epic proportions. Will the Reign of Terror obtain the favors they seek to collect from these packs? Or will they refuse, leading to a full-scale war for domination? And what happens to the wolves caught in the middle? ------------------------- So right before the long hiatus, there was a certain plot of epic proportions happening -- three packs placed on a collision course with each other. I know a lot of us all have wolves who were in a position to be affected by all of this -- and I think it's probably best if we all take a few minutes to sort out what we want to happen here. Note: I know a lot of us are waiting to hear on details from the big Meta Cataclysm before committing to anything, which is fine. But I figured it'd help to get the thread up now so we can start thinking about it, and once we know for sure what's up, we can commit.

I am operating under the assumption that the events of the war -- whatever they end up being -- occur before/during the cataclysm.
If you'd all rather that weren't the case, we can ret-con things so that they occur after the cataclysm and just carry on with the original plot as planned. Either way is fine, but we should all come to an agreement with that.
If things are happening in such a way that they won't be RPed out in real time, it would be super helpful if we could all come to some sort of consensus as to what happened -- who died, who won which battles, what was the final outcome of all of this
But first and foremost, I want everybody to feel satisfied with what's happening here. This plot was near and dear to a lot of people's hearts (and characters), and you guys deserve to see it resolved in a way that will make you feel satisfied. So let's talk it out and make sure that happens. Cheers?

Open for posting smile
I'll start: My involvement in the plot is fairly minimal, but I had three wolves wrapped up in it:
-- Aduial, daughter of Macha and Haku. All of my plots with her hinged on Shadowfox-sama, who appears to be gone from Gaia. Assuming that to be the case, I'm putting her into hiding as she's pretty useless otherwise. I'd like her to disappear either during the war or in the midst of the cataclysm, assumed dead. Later on, she could always be found not-dead if it made for interesting plottage.
-- Zisa, daughter of Raelin and Haemon (I think?). She was an RoT wolf who I believe was due to eventually become a turncoat and join Draug. But that was also wrapped up in things with Shadow. I'd like her to go missing as well. Maybe she's been in the same place as Zisa, if it turns out to be useful later, but for now we'll assume she's MIA.
-- Isolde was a contest wolf. She and her crew were headed to the Order with every intention of seducing Fant and placing her fluffy blue a** on the throne (as it were). I had always assumed that plan would fail horribly, but it's open. She's a plot-wolf and is available to do whatever you guys need her to do.

I came in at the tail end of this war, as it were, so I can't really say that my input counts for as much as those who were with it in the beginning, but I'll pitch in my two cents and say that my wolves can be used where they are needed.
• Ainelaith: from the royal Draug line. If the plot continues before/during the cataclysm, then she's probably a teenager - too young to really fight, but old enough and inquisitive and bold enough to get into all kinds of trouble. The only real war-related plot I had going for her was tied in with Shadow. But as a royal-line teen, I'm sure she has plot value if she's needed - kidnap, ransom, injury, internal Draug stuff, you name it. I could totally see her getting lost during the cataclysm and winding up in RoT territory or even Order territory.
• Ethelinda: part of Isolde's little crew. She isn't in on the usurping, and isn't really part of the Order, at least not yet, but she does have one particularly valuable asset. Wherever she goes, disaster follows. In that, her mere presence could be useful. Also, as a random thought, her adopted pup, Jay's Chibi, is probably going to be MIA for a little while after the cataclysm. Anything could have happened to him. There could be plot potential there, though how much it may or may not tie into the war is anyone's guess.
• Kera: a RoT girl. Technically, she's still mine, though I was planning to rehome her. But if there's a use for her, or if someone could use her, let me know.

I happened to see this when I backread and thought I would throw my wolves in since I have some that were going to be involved way back when. Order of the Rose Chantily - Fantasia's Marshal (And super secret admirer), she'd never leave the pack as long as Fantasia or anyone she thought he'd want her to protect were still alive and so she'd be around before or after the new meta stuff and is up for anything baring major disfigurement(limb loss)/permanent debilitating injury - being gravely wounded, loosing say an eye etc are all fair game. Draug Triton and his son Aegean - Triton is or was (Is draug going to be reformed?) Draug's hunting trainer and thus feels a good bit of responsibility for the pack, he's more likely to favor a peaceful resolution then a warlike one but would fight if it came down to it. Aegean is more war like, driven to prove himself he's young and brash and would likely throw himself into the fray with all the youthful gusto that such types tend to have. I also have Rayne and Marrow but I think they would have been quite young if this happens before the meta and unlikely to participate much as they are both a bit..strange.

In the midst of the war starting (ie: A few small scale fights have started RoT vs Draug on Draug territory and Order vs RoT on RoT territory) and then the meta hits, the chaos whatever it may be causes the sudden breaking off of fighting to survive.
RoT territory is in an area of sparse forest but most of the ground and dens are actually rock (shale to be exact) Unknown to the wolves is that shale can often hold natural gas beneath it. Also unknown to them is that the RoT territory is coal rich not that it's been of any use to the wolves. (Yes I've consulted a lot of maps and taken my wolf research too seriously XD) - During the cataclysm fires sweep through RoT land, this heats the shale enough that ALL RoT wolves HAVE to temporarily leave the RoT territory or risk horrific burns/death. After the cataclysm Chernabog returns and finds that some parts of his territory are still burning...those spots will continue to burn for YEARS where the fires made contact with natural coal. Chernabog decides that the fires will only add fuel (pardon the pun) to the legends of the Reign and calls for the return of his pack...however some obviously won't make it back. He'll be focused on finding his queen first and killing anyone who get's in his way.
Meanwhile in the order... Demeter has been daily re-enforcing Disneyana's original rose bushes in an attempt to keep her daughter Persephone safe, but it does her no good...Hades gets her anyway somehow (consult with Med/Jet) Demeter in her rage accidentally makes the plants in the Order's territory go berserk just as the cataclysm happens. (Insert whatever disaster here- maybe earthquake?) Gabby probably escapes since the earthquake causes a landslide into her pit that she can then use to climb out (?). Disneyana rushes to try and help pups/young and ends up getting trapped in the roses. Demeter gets knocked out and the growth stops going crazy. Order wolves in the RoT territory have to fall back because of the fires and return home to find the area overgrown/dangerous. (Plus whatever disasters happen/etc)
Yensid will probably try and stick with his brother and sister but in the chaos is likely to get seperated.
Meanwhile in Draug...RoT wolves experience whatever event hits Draug and most either have to retreat/die/join the Draug wolves wherever they go/do?

Something that may or may not be important to the timeline is that Selene, a slave of RoT, escaped into what was Tomkin's territory. She found protection there, even had pup's with the alpha, but her absence didn't go unnoticed by RoT members. She was murdered by Ba'al and Lilith. Now, Tomkin is no longer an official pack, but more of an association where wolves trade information. Aguta is personally motivated to avenge Selene and end her murderers as well as the one who gave the order for her capture. He may work outside of Draug and the Order, but he would also be willing to cooperate given the right push. Other wolves of Tomkin would be more inclined to assist Draug or the Order for monetary compensation. If I recall territory correctly, Tomkin was located directly beside the Order of the Rose. It's not a pack that Aguta could rial together as a force anymore, but wolves that would be interested in assisting would probably be still living in that territory.

I have another offering to make to the plot at large, if it proves useful - and no doubt it could prove most valuable. • Finch: the forest shaman. I've decided that the poor dear hasn't had enough tragedy in her life, so she's going to lose her home in the catastrophe. This will only further upset her already delicate and somewhat broken mind, leaving her incredibly vulnerable. Now wouldn't it be interesting if some RoT wolves found her and decided that a shaman would make a valuable tool in their war... Of course, it's not my intention to leave her there forever, but I honestly don't know how she will grow and change through her ordeals. Perhaps she would stay after all is said and done. I'm planning on letting her develop pretty organically, so anything could happen. All I'm hoping is that she'll grow stronger and her mind might heal. But for war purposes, she'd make a great pawn.
