Farvardin had managed to find the goldfish stand again. She walked up to it and paused. It didn't seem like anyone was playing right now. It was a good time to play. She nodded to herself and picked up a scoop. "Alright, this time for sure!" She muttered to herself. She plunged the scoop in the pool of water and flicked it out too soon. Some water went flying out of the pool spraying the area around her. musicaloner7 Feel free to run into her or have him get hit with her accidental water spray.

After enduring the main events of the festival that was ensuing, Mykanos was grateful to have some time to himself away from the main attractions. Really he didn't have much interest in the hustle and bustle of this overcrowded city, but figured he'd try and at least do a little sight seeing before returning to the comforts and tranquility of his humble abode.
whilst wandering about aimlessly, the tall, yet graceful, young man had his eyes caught by the flash and glimmer of something in his peripheral. That natural hunter instinct in him had his eyes snap over to stare intently at what ever was the source. To his surprise, it was the lapping and sloshing of water-- no, what was in the water. The gossamer scales of the goldfish within were reflecting so beautifully... like gold coins winking under the suns rays when graced.
Entranced, and intrigued, Mykanos slowly made his way over, not even really paying attention to the female already there having a go at it. Only a few sprinkles of water from her hasty reactions got on his uniform, but it didn't faze him, as he observed the ritual being carried out rather intensely, and silently.

Farvardin picked up another scoop and was ready to have another go at the game. However she felt eyes staring in her general direction and stopped. She turned to see a blonde guy staring at her... no the pool with the fish. "Oh..... do you want to play?" She asked tilting her head and holding out her scoop, "Just use this and try to catch a fish. I can try again after you go." She flashed him a smile and moved slightly to make room for him by the pool.

He glanced over to the little cup that was offered to him, and then to the fish again. It seemed harmless, and painless for the aquatic creatures. That was good. However, he didn't take the one she offered, not wanting to take her cup away, and got one for himself. Staring into the pool of rippling water, fondly watching the fish flitting about at various paces, he slowly lowered the paper cup down into the liquid, taking his time. He was a patient man, as hunters had to be, and was quite used to the ways of fish thanks to his father.
His father...
Letting the though escape him, he waited with his arm stretched to let the cup rest at the bottom of the pool, keeping stone still. Once a fish hovered over top the cup, he began to lift it to encompass around the little scaled friend, and attempted to raise it further once caught... but the paper gave out at the bottom due to being so soaked, and the weight of the water burdening it. Thus, his fish was lost. Wet hand raised, and destroyed cup as well, he stepped to the side a little to give the girl a chance again.

Farvardin's smile didn't falter when he refused her scoop. She merely shrugged and watched him silently. Oh he was going for the patience strategy. "Oooooohhhh so close!" She said when he stepped away, "With these fish you gotta be quicker. They're smart little buggers." She stepped forward and watched the pool for a moment. She picked out one fish that was swimming slower than the rest and put her scoop in near it. When it didn't immediately swim away she moved the scoop under it and lifted. Before she could lift it out of the water the fish sped up and swam off the scoop.

Keeping his usual straight faced expression, Mykanos calmly watched the girl take her attempt again. Speed wasn't the key, necessarily, but timing was. With these flimsy pieces of paper for temporary nets they were more fragile and had unstable. Unreliable. Once her turn was up, he gave it another shot, but this cup this time failed on him much quicker than the last. Hm. His eyes watched the little goldfish wriggle away free from the bottom of his broken cup, with that fondness once more, before he gave room again for the girl.

"Oh darn." Farvardin said when he missed, "Maybe your last turn for the day will net you a fish." She then chuckled at her unintentional pun. She then moved forward to take her last turn. She took a new scoop and dipped it into the water. She had a fish on it and had lifted it out of the water. However the scoop broke and the fish fell back in with a splash.

It was amazing, really, how such a simple task was made difficult just by the tools you were using. It made sense, of course, but was still a nice little challenge that Mykanos quite enjoyed. He was more than certain that he could catch one of these wriggly fish easily with his bare hands, as he has before, but with such a flimsy, unreliable piece of 'netting' like this... it was more luck based than anything.

Farvardin made a tsk'ing noise when he failed to get a goldfish. "Well maybe tomorrow we'll have better luck." She said with a sigh and grin, "I think I'll head off to another booth. I think there are some I still haven't check out. Wha'cha going to do?"

Bluedemonwolf Farvardin made a tsk'ing noise when he failed to get a goldfish. "Well maybe tomorrow we'll have better luck." She said with a sigh and grin, "I think I'll head off to another booth. I think there are some I still haven't check out. Wha'cha going to do?"
As the girl spoke up again, he gave a subtle shrug of his shoulders. Seemed like heading home was the best solution. Or.. "Wander around.. head home." he replied in his deep baritone voice.

Farvardin nodded her head at what little he said. Then she looked at him like she had some brilliant idea. "Hey! Why don't we wander about together before you head home? Maybe you'll find another booth that has something you're interested in."

The suggestion wasn't one he was used to, and it sort of... set him back. Staring at her blankly, he contemplated the request. Well.. he supposed he could stick around a little while longer. With a careless shrug, he shifted his weight to signify his preparing to move onward to what ever the next destination was. Wandering about with a stranger seemed odd, but maybe the girl felt more comfortable this way as opposed to being alone.

Farvardin grinned and turned to leave. "Alright! Let's go see what booths are still open." She said while walking off. musicaloner7 What booth would you like to go to? Looks like the pop the bubble, pick a cup, and dunk a wallist are still open. The flower booth is closed now.
