Be on the lookout fellow Tree Huggers. It's looking like the Nyxians, as they're now calling themselves, are wishing for mishaps to befall us. It could possibly come in the form of an elaborate and very wacky Rube Goldberg device.

They're just looking for any excuse and reason (not in a serious we want to flame you kind of a way mind you) to get us worked up because they realize that while we may not be the larger or more active of the two groups the GCA is older and already has the staff recognition even if it's not by name. One of our early incarnations did make it into the Frontier Skies manga after all. 3nodding

That is very much true! If anything, Nyx may have bigger numbers, but Gaia has more firepower backing her up. The Alliance backs much more variety, both on the vanguard and on the back lines. Crummy old priests and corrupt soldiers don't make for a good army.

I could even get some classes set up for rookie pilots! Get them a basic ship with a sapling and teach them to drive, attack, and pursuit by air! The more the merrier, yes?

Heck yeah the more the merrier. We had a suggestion in the in guild fun thread suggest a ranking system for badges and whatnot people can display using the dice roll system to earn points. It's an idea for a system that can work for anything we come up with once the basics are worked out.

I gather they're doing a lot of planning for it so they'll be ready when the event comes about.
How much is needed and what's the limit on donating? Meushi is working up a charity fundraising thread for us with all the particulars since she has experience running one. There's no limit to what people can donate and we're not taking just gold because the more items we can get along with gold the better. In the grand scheme of things to be a serious guild and user group we need at least ten billion as a starting point, which is why we're working up a charity thread.
After a while, maybe after the July holiday or the summer event we'll kick into phase two of our fundraising with a way for the guild and any artists in the guild to earn some extra gold for Halloween and beyond with a joint split the pot art auction half to the guild and half to be split among the artists if A. we actually have more than two or three artists in the guild and B. they're okay with getting less in order to help the guild. We can always begin to plan for that while we're working on phase one of getting our funds.
However, we're always taking donations for the guild to the mule. If you play the Dumpster Dive and pull things you don't have need for we'll be more than happy to use them for giveaways and donating. Right now I'm amassing a pile of Philosopher's Caches because I may or may not want to do some kind of gifting based game during the summer event and free Caches is a lot lighter on the pocketbook than making bouquets.

Ah, I see. The 10 bil isn't too bad, as for the artist, I'd be happy to assist on that as well but given my current work schedule I'm finding it hard to find time to draw something decent. I'm actually at work right now, so I can post inbetween calls and on break, but can't work on art until my days off if we're not running errands sweatdrop so I could sign up for that after I get a new schedule.
