The blue haired guard named Eradius enters the room where the Father of the Guard are. A black haired being is escorted behind him by two other elves, obviously two that were not on duty (unlike Eradius).
Jay can barely keep himself from jumping up. It had been hundreds of years since he had seen his brother, considering the fact that he had changed into a bluejay and his brother into a guard.
The two elves sit the black haired man down about twenty feet from the Counsel. There is something off about him, though Jay cannot tell what it is. The man doesn't look around or even open his eyes. He just sits still, no words, sounds or movement at all.
Eradius approaches the Counsel and, bowing to them, apologizes, "I am sorry, dear Counsel, but we do have a guest that wishes to see a guest."
((OOC: Xander was at Reman's as well. If you wish, he can say that Nathan was behind him a while ago... if you want to bring Nathan in this thread.
Also, this doesn't mean that you get out of posting in WizStar.))

Nathan dashed toward the stairs that the man from the bar he had stayed at a year ago walked up. Xander, that was the man's name. The half demon could not help wondering what a demon was doing in elven lands, especially walking into a fortress.

Xander sits with his back against the tree, waiting. He wonders where the "kid" had gone off to. All he knows is that he can't see (blasted barrier).
'And if the kid is still following me, he'll run into the barrier soon too. Though he isn't quite full demon, he'll get the same effect as I got. ...which might be interesting to hear because it was hard for me to come here the first time. How bad would it be for him?'
He waits for Eradius' message of approval or disapproval.
'Either way, I think that it would go a bit badly for him... That's what I get for doing what I promised myself to do, though I didn't tell him.'
---
"A guest?" a member asks, seated next to Jay's grandfather.
Eradius nods, respectful as he does so.
"What race is this guest?" a third member asks.
"Demon."
"On what sort of business?" yet another asks, all of the High Counsel members' attention caught by this news.
"He wishes to talk to one of the guests here that have come to visit you," Eradius says, keeping his words short but his tone polite.
Jay glances at Darian, the cousin of his wife. A demon? Searching for one of them? To talk about what?

Suddenly as Nathan was accending the stairs he was struck by a feeling of excruciating pain throughout his body. He sank to his knees, and then laid his hands on the pavement to keep himself from falling further. With a snarl he pushed himself up and continued walking. Leave it to ******** elves to have a ******** magical ******** barrier. And to have it hurt instead of just ******** stopping me too.
(As you can see, Nathan's not impressed. If that wasn't what you wanted the barrier to do, just tell me and I'll edit it.)

Eradius says, after sighing, "The messenger is a demon looking for my brother's companion so that he can deliver a message."
Jay's grandfather turns to Darian and asks, "Would you like to receive this message?"
----
One of the guards near the border, that is watching over Xander, hears something nearby. He turns around, blending in with the forest and watches to see what or who draws near. It is another demon, by the pissed-off scowl on his face.
Xander hears the being coming forward and says as he turns his un-seeing eyes towards the younger demon, "Well, Nate, it seems that you found your way after all, eh? And I thought that I had lost you about a month ago. Nice tracking."
The elvish warrior keeps his position, but does not prepare to kill Nathan, since Xander has recognized the demon.
He pats the ground beside him and says, "Take a seat. I'm waiting to talk with Darian Moonleaf, who is inside. They won't let us enter, though, seeing that we are of demon kindred."
((actually I was thinking that Nathan would be partially or fully blinded like Xander was. could still be, if that is alright with you. I was also thinking that Xander could be helping Nathan train or something like that... One thing that Xander had him do was try to track him, starting about two months ago.))

"Lose me?" Nathan laughed, "You're lucky you noticed me. And as for not letting us in, I'm surprised that's all their doing, considering how jumpy elves get. Darian's one of the calm one's, in my experience." Suddenly the half demon gasped, he could not see large patches of his surroundings.
"A demon with a message for me?" Darian's surprise was evident in his voice. "That's a new one. Let's see what's so important it causes a demon to act as a messenger."

"They know who I am. I was actually one of the demons a few years ago to help protect the border for their stronghold," he says, without opening his eyes, "Trust me, that was enough to win their respect and trust, especially since it was going against Higher Demons."
---- Eradius nods, without words.
The High Council turns to Darian and Jay and High Council Member Silverwind says, "There is your escort, then. May your path be blessed and may all that you miss be found."
Jay takes this to be a 'get going' note from his grandfather. He stands up and bows to the council. "Thank you for everything."
Silverwind nods to his grandson and says, "Sacre Plata, remember that name, young elves, for she is the one who can help restore your memory."

"Many thanks Councilors," Darian said, giving a soldier's bow to a superior, bending at the waist with his left hand on the pommel of his sword, never taking his eyes off the High Council. "I will keep your words in mind."

Jay immitates his Elvish brother before they leave the High Council's chamber. Eradius escorts the two right next to the main gate, turning on a dime to the two Elves.
"I'm sorry but you must once again be blindfolded for 'caution must be taken with both the trusted and the not trusted'," he says, two other elves stepping up in travel garb so to blindfold their guests. He bows to them, showing respect from one warrior to another, "There is no hard feelings towards our kindred brothers."
The blue-black haired elf rolls his eyes and allows himself to be blindfolded.
"'tis the curse of the cautious," he says.
His blood brother responds, "As the humans say: 'better to be safe than sorry'."

Darian chuckled. "Aye, better safe than sorry indeed. A philosophy that would have saved me difficulty over the years. And more than a few scars." As he said this he had allowed himself to be blindfolded.
