In case some may not have gotten the news, Change your Email passwords and any account you have where you've given your credit card info on.

Odds are you won't be affected but better safe then sorry.

Question does this affect debit cards as well?

Maybe. It is unlikely someone will have access to your bank account, in worst case they could provide your card information for things they want to buy. Which would be stupid since that's easily traceable for the banks.

Primarily it would be Emails and various accounts that could be affected.
I have checked some places and Google, Steam, Paypal, Youtube have been unaffected or fixed.

★⚓ The gist of it is: Basically since it came to existence the internet has this exploit that was found out about a few days ago and it's been fixed, but now every website has to update itself so the fix works, but there's the chance that someone figured out the exploit before the Internet people and is using it for stealing passwords, credit card info, etc... ⚓★

What makes it any more likely that someone found out my credit card information this week than, say, last year?

0.0001%
To be honest if there is a hacker what had access to all this and wanted financial gain then he or she could sipon less then a penny from the accounts of millions and it wouldn't be noticed.

There is a very small chance that it might affect you, however better to change some of your passwords to your more crucial accounts in the upcoming months so to block any potential access rather then keep the door half open.

I'm not too worried about it as I know they won't be able to gain access into my bank accounts. I have a few accounts that I will change the password to which I was planning to do anyways since I change my passwords every 2-3 months.

It's essentially just a report that there's been a massive security hole in around 2/3 of all websites on the net and it's been open for a very long time.
