Caize made no response to her saying that she couldn't think of anyone who needed her. His expression was passive as he held his sword, watching her. A deafening silence followed her yelling at him to not call her a traitor. This wasn't the person whom had stood with her in Balamb and happily spoken of a future where he didn't see any fighting. This was not the man whom had acted out of turn to ensure her safety in Balamb. This was not the man whom had smiled in her presence as if she were a rose blooming in the early spring. His regards to calling Kiyari a Rose with it's many thorns was absent. This was not the person whom had left for Galbadia Garden with everyone. In just a few short moments, he had changed entirely. "So the Rose wilts with the embrace with the coming of winter." Caize stated, his voice oddly poetic even though his gaze was hard.
And she came at him. Caize shifted his grip as she approached ,taking a defensive hold on it and watching as she jumped, and then descended on him with all her force. He gripped his sword tighter and defiantly blocked her blow, the clash sending sparks into the air. For a moment, perhaps, Caize sighed at the impact, but then it was chaos. Raiju was summoned as Caize put all his weight behind his swing to push Kiyari's weapon up and back before twisting his grip and stepping back. He then pushed, swinging with all his force with a blow that would send her sword flying if she didn't have a proper grip to it. Caize had seemingly ignored the tiger prepared to maul him. And then. Fire.
Extended Ash
"Phoenix, burn." Fire exploded between Caize and Raiju, the fires raging upward to the ceiling before forming into the shape of a grand red bird. Caize didn't seem bothered by this at all as he pressed his assault on Kiyari, stepping in after his swing and bringing his blade in again at her side. He was doing the same thing he did before, staying in her range so that she couldn't make use of that advanced speed she had. Pheonix on the other hand, turned it's full attention on Raiju, burning radiantly with flames in the air and around it's body. It did not seem to immediately strike Raiju, and it's only attack os far had been it's summoning flames which would have forced the tiger back. It clearly was just acting as a wall between the tiger and it's master.

Although Kiyari heard Caize's odd sentence about the Rose and the winter, she did not pause to think on it as she attacked him. He was acting very different to his usual self but to her that was understandable. They were fighting to the death. They were both bound to be a little...out of sorts. She had already let loose her emotions somewhat dramatically, which for her was a monumental change in demeanor. It unnerved her a little to see him like this, however.
She expected him to easily block her attack and so he did, sparks flying in the air at the clash of their swords. What she didn't expect was what happened next. He had pushed her blade back with all of his force and she leapt backwards, skidding across the ground several feet before coming to a stop. She knew something like this would happen and was counting on Raiju's attack from behind to give her an opening, assuming that Caize would be forced to focus on defending from being mauled to death. That possibility was immediately dashed with the summoning of his GF. Kiyari drew in a sharp breath, her eyes widening in awe as she watched the creature burst into existence amidst a crescendo of fire.
Raiju was forced to stop suddenly, his claws screeching on the floor as he snarled up at the magnificent bird, lightning crackling around him. Kiyari had never seen this GF before and was suitably stunned by its appearance, its bright flames reflecting in her eyes as she gazed at it. And then Caize attacked. Reacting on instinct Kiyari dropped to the ground in a spinning crouch, letting his blade pass over her and at the same time snapping out her leg to try and take him down with a sweep. She then quickly sprang upwards, taking her sword in both hands and pointing the blade directly downwards as she descended upon him, intending to impale him as he lay on the ground, if indeed her sweep had worked.
Meanwhile as all this went underway Raiju had been staring at the Pheonix with an expression akin to cold fury, apparently not amused by its interruption. He gave another vicious snarl before suddenly disappearing in his thunder cloud and reappearing in the air to the left of the creature, leaping towards it with great speed and intending to tackle it out of the air, aiming to bite down on its nearest wing with his sharp teeth.

A faint tsk escaped Caize's lips as he saw Kiyari slip under his blade and then the entire world went sideways and Caize was knocked off of his feet. He hit the ground hard, not bothering to brace himself for the impact. There was a crash as Caize sent his blade across his body deflecting Kiyari's sword into the ground. It would probably be at this moment that Kiyari would realize only one of Caize's hands were on his sword. The other was held up, almost against her side. "Thundara." Electricity exploded from his hand at near point blank range from Kiyari. He obviously didn't wait around for her to recover for it and was quick to kick his foot up to send her bowling over if she'd taken the lightning. If she hadn't, which was reasonable to guess, Caize would have used the momentum of his kick to actually get back up onto his feet and lunge in at Kiyari again with his sword.
He lacked her speed, but he did not lack skill.
Phoenix meanwhile, didn't seem to care at all about the tiger that was attempting to block it. The bird of fire simply watched the tiger patiently. The bird showed no reaction to the disappearence of the tiger in the cloud up until the moment it tried to strike. It was as it appeared that phoenix gave a single beat of it's large wings, the entirety of the bird catching fire and the air combusting around it. The heat was intense, and certainly acted as a good motivator to leave the bird alone and not try to pass it. It was oddly specific of the bird to not be attacking the Tiger and instead just reprimanding it for trying to attack him. Almost like...

Kiyari felt pain explode all over her body as Caize's thundara hit her at point blank range and cried out, her whole body tensing as the current ran through her and caused her muscles to seize up. Caize didn't even wait for her recover from it and she was thrown backwards as he kicked her, hitting the floor and simply laying there stunned and in pain. At this her GF promptly stopped attacking the Pheonix and disappeared, his cloud reappearing a second later in front of Kiyari, placing himself between her and Caize. He snarled at Caize but did not move or attack. It seemed more like he was guarding Kiyari, his claws digging into the ground and his tail lashing side to side as he glared at the man. If Caize attacked, he wouldn't hesitate to try and tear him apart with his teeth and claws. On the floor behind the tiger Kiyari coughed and rolled onto her side, her arms shaking as she pushed herself up a little. A thundara that close was not something that was easily walked off. Faint tendrils of smoke curled off her singed kimono and body. She lifted her head and glared at Caize, panting a little, before slowly getting to her feet. It took her obvious effort and she had to lean on her katana for a few seconds, keeping her gaze fixed on Caize. "Cura." She stated, casting the spell to heal herself a bit. As the magic restored her health she flicked a hand towards Caize. "Scan."

Caize had landed on his feet firmly, looking at Kiyari with what almost looked like contempt as he flicked his blade in his hand and started to advance on her. He stopped as the tiger put itself between them. Caize tilted his head faintly with a cold gaze to his eyes as he looked up at the tiger. He didn't say a word, but put a hand to his head. Phoenix has flew to be floating behind Caize at this point, resting on the ground as it sat behind him. It was as Kiyari made the mistake of healing that the fight was almost certainly decided. "Holy." Orbs of light exploded into the air around Kiyari, spinning rapidly around her before a ray of pure light energy tore through the center of the circle where Kiyari stood. Holy was a powerful attack, and it's damage was enough to likely put Kiyari back on the ground. Dodging it would have been nearly impossible given her situation. She was at the center of the cast and injured. She'd been in the middle of casting cura when he'd fired it further more.
Chances were, her spell was both interrupted and the fight was over. Caize remained standing with his arm held out from where he had moved it upon casting holy. His sword was held loosely in his right hand. His gaze was harsh as the particles of light faded away, revealing what the situation would be from Kiyari and her GF, both of which had been caught in the blast radius of the attack. It went without saying that her scan attempt failed considering there was a good chance her healing attempt failed.

JunctionxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxRaiju //strength, magicRaiju snarled in anger as Caize cast Holy, interrupting Kiyari's heal and scan. It was too late for him to attack Caize to stop him, the spell was cast. So instead the tiger whipped around and tackled Kiyari out of the way of the spell as it condensed. Kiyari's yell of alarm and pain was muffled by the huge GF's thick fur as she landed on the ground with him pressing over her protectively. She had only caught a glimpse of the bright lights before Raiju bowled her over, but she knew exactly what it was. Once the danger had passed Raiju whipped around again and leapt towards Caize with claws outstretched, snarling. He expected that the man's infernal bird would block his attack, however, so midway through he suddenly disappeared in his usual thundering black cloud and immediately reappeared in the air directly above and slightly behind Caize. The only warning Caize had for what was about to happen next was a split second crackling before powerful bolts of lightning struck where he stood, the GF having cast Thundara on him. Even if he managed to dodge it Raiju immediately followed up by leaping down at Caize and swiping viciously with his great paws, intending to try and either pin the man to the ground or just tear him limb from limb. Meanwhile Kiyari had quickly staggered upright, looking somewhat worse for wear at this point, and flicked her hand towards Caize. "Drain!" She panted, casting a spell to hopefully even the odds a little.

Caize was silent as he stood watching the GF protect it's master. He didn't say anything until it turned and rushed at him. Phoenix shifted behind Caize and took a long beat of it's wings. "I want to say something to it." Caize stated to the bird. His Gf didn't seem keen on this, but moved to the side, watching the advancing tiger with unease. Caize on the other hand, spun his sword loosely in his hand as he disappeared. "Shell."
The bolts of lightning dropped on Caize as he snapped around, skipping back. He knew he couldn't avoid all of them, but this simple motion helped him avoid most of the damage as he looked up seriously at Raiju. That look in his eyes was severe, and almost disapproving. "Why do you fight me when you know she can't beat Edea. She won't save anyoen like this." He was targeting his words at the GF, ignoring Kiyari at his back. Caize brought up his sword in a defensive stance as Raiju lunged down at him, the impact very nearly throwing Caize like a ragdoll, but he kept his footing and simply slid, his gaze very irritable as he glared at the GF. "You're not just some beast that mindlessly protects it's master. She'll die, the boy will die, and she'll have killed the only people who can help her. I ask you again, Raiju. Why do you fight me when you know she can't beat Edea. She will lose everything and you're condoning that."
Caize wasn't attacking, he was only blocking and dodging at this point. There was something wrong with this situation. He didn't even bother worrying about Kiyari even as she cast drain on him. His attention was focused on the GF. "If I wanted her dead, she'd be dead. I'm pulling that favor you both owe me, Raiju. I saved her before, I'm telling you to trust me, again." His tone was soft, mostly so Kiyari could not hear him while Raiju would be able to. Caize was careful with his movements to ensure that if the tiger did continue it's assault that he could dodge and block, though blocking was a not so fun experience.
"You can either trust me, Raiju, or she'll die at the end of the day no matter what."
Raiju had to know, as well as Caize knew, that Edea would kill the boy anyways, and then kill Kiyari. She was a danger to Edea as someone who couldn't be trusted. At the end of the day, Kiyari would die if she continued this path. If Caize didn't kill her, Caize had a strong suspicion one of the others would kill her. And if not one of them, Edea herself.

JunctionxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxRaiju //strength, magicCaize was pretty sharp to cast shell and still manage to dodge Raiju's Thundara with only a split second before it hit, whilst not knowing where the GF would attack from, which was what the tiger was thinking in mild annoyance as it proceeded to attack the man. It was an almost unbelievable feat, as he couldn't have known what Raiju would do. If what Caize had said about Kiyari had any effect on Raiju, the GF didn't immediately show it. Instead he snarled viciously as he leapt after the human, swiping at Caize with his huge claws and snapping at him with his teeth, though his opponent kept blocking and dodging with evident skill.
Raiju likely would have continued to try and wear him down but eventually when Caize spoke of what they owed him the tiger stopped and jumped backwards out of the fight, glaring at the man, his tail causing sparks to fly as it lashed the ground behind him. "It is not for me to choose her path. Only to help her." He growled in a dark, rumbling tone. He didn't care what Caize thought of him, or why he was aiding Kiyari instead of stopping her. He knew that his master couldn't beat Edea, but who ever said she had to? Raiju trusted that Kiyari would find a way to escape with her brother. There was truth to what Caize was saying, however, and it made the tiger pause. Particularly as he and Kiyari did owe the man for saving their lives.
The tiger's bright white eyes continued to glare at Caize intensely, as if examining his very soul for any sign of deception. Finally the tiger let out a disgruntled growl of reluctance. "What is it that you want, boy? You want me to stop fighting you?" He said, his ears twitching a little as he tilted his head. That was what he assumed Caize was referring to when he said to trust him. "I won't let you kill her." Raiju growled in a final tone, and took a few slow steps backwards to indicate that he was withdrawing for now. Behind Caize, Kiyari had heard nothing of what transpired in their conversation. All she saw was her GF backing away for no apparent reason.
"Raiju! What are you doing?? Attack him!" She shouted, anger clouding her features. The GF merely continued to watch Caize intently, ignoring her. Kiyari gave a cry of frustration and flicked her hand towards Caize. "Enough o this! Pain!" She cast the spell and then darted suddenly towards Caize, slashing in an downwards diagonal motion at his torso with her katana and then following through with a harsh roundhouse kick at his side.

Raiju wasn't totally right. Normally one could say that no one could read minds, so Raiju's attack should have been safe in that regard. Except Caize had spent longer with Kiyari and Raiju than any other living person. He knew how both of them fought, knew how they planned, and could judge from their gazes what they would do. Caize didn't need to read minds with either GF or master. He could predict their movements. He wasn't perfect, but he had always been proud of being able to read a situation and prepare accordingly.
"You don't just follow her blindly. Alexander taught me much about the influence of a GF on one's course." Caize stated simply in regards to Raiju's words. "What I want is not something I can have any longer. But I have the sense to know that I can keep her from dying. I don't make the same promise for her brother." Caize finished, watching as the GF backed away. Caize turned his attention on Kiyari next as she yelled at Raiju.
Border of Life
Her spell was a direct hit, but as soon as it hit, something came with it, a green life that surrounded Caize before flashing out, the effects of her spell already gone. Phoenix, the bird, remained standing on the ground, watching Kiyari intently. The bird had healed him of his ailments. And Kiyari approached, clearly aiming to attack him. He spun his sword faintly and shifted his feet. As her sword cut in, Caize raised his blade, using only one hand to block, feeling the strike in his arm as he slipped back, her kick catching his side, but dealing no damage. It seemed to cause him to twist to the side, but what fell with the twist was probably not what Kiyari expected.
A step in, Caize swung his hand back, his free one, right at her head. A back hand, using her own momentum from having kicked him to deliver it. It seemed like a clumsy manuever given Kiyari would have been able to swipe her sword in at his exposed arm, but it was all a trick. Caize was risking his arm on it. If she dared to swing her sword at his exposed arm, what she'd find would be a sword pierced straight through her stomach, Caize holding the blade level with his body, ready to thrust as soon as Kiyari moved to attack, leaving herself open. "Edea will kill you."

Kiyari made a sound of annoyance at seeing the green light surround Caize, knowing that it was healing him of her spell and probably any other ailments. That damn bird would have to be taken care of, and soon. Unfortunately her own GF seemed not to have abandoned the fight, an observation which left Kiyari incredibly frustrated and confused. Nevertheless she continued her attack, not surprised that he'd blocked her sword but expecting her kick to at least hit him. To her dismay it wasn't very effective, however. He slipped easily to the side with it and Kiyari saw him raise his hand to strike. Her eyes widened in the split second before pain exploded across her face as his hand connected with her jaw, and she was sent sprawling to the floor, giving a cry as she landed. Her sword slipped out of her grasp and clattered on the ground a few feet from her..
{ Dream Within a Dream }
"A-Ah..." Kiyari let out a pained breath, her long red hair pooling on the stone as she tried to push herself up with shaking arms. She was somewhat dazed and it took her obvious effort to crawl onto her knees, a few droplets of blood spattering on the floor as she gave a faint cough. She then raised a hand to her reddened cheek, wincing at the soreness and lifting her head to meet Caize's eyes. Her gaze seemed to hold a mix of emotions...anger, hurt, remorse and uncertainty being a few. She let out a shaky breath. "Even so, I have to try." The young woman said quietly, in response to Caize's comment that Edea would kill her. "Do you know what it's like to care for someone's life more than your own, Caize? To be willing to risk anything and everything just so that they might be safe from this cruel hateful world a little longer?" She asked, giving another cough and then slowly getting to her feet, brushing her kimono out of the way as she stood. She had no weapon, but she raised her chin defiantly at him anyway. From nearby Raiju growled, however Kiyari paid him no heed. And then came the sound of doors opening.
"Dearest sister...?" A soft voice spoke from the end of the hall behind Kiyari, and she froze, her heart feeling as if it had stopped. Caize would no doubt see the young lad whom had entered. A boy in his early teens, with striking long red hair and red eyes, which currently held a look of worry as he surveyed the scene before him. Kiyari took a faint breath and turned around, letting out a soft gasp as she caught sight of him and raising a hand to her mouth. "K-Kainen...it cant be..." She breathed, the shock of seeing him clear on her face. "What are you doing here?! How did you get away from Edea...?" The fight with Caize was suddenly forgotten as Kiyari stumbled towards the boy, who in turn ran to meet her. The two embraced in the middle of the hall, Kiyari giving a soft laugh of joy, hugging him tightly and then pulling back to look at him.
"It doesn't matter! I got away and I'm so happy to have found you, dear sister..." The boy named Kainen flashed a smile, glancing behind Kiyari at Caize. It wasn't a kind smile, however, and there was the strangest of glints in his dark eyes. "So happy that I get to be the one...to kill you." He finished, his tone turning cold. "Wh-What...?" Kiyari blinked, sure that she had misheard. Pain immediately tore through her stomach and she looked down, seeing the dagger handle protruding, held by Kainen. His sinister smile widened. "N-No..." A gasp on pain and disbelief escaped Kiyari's lips. 'This can't be happening...it's not real...' She looked back up at her brother, distraught, searching his face for some sign that it was all a lie, or a mistake. She found none. The boy gave a chuckle, stepping away lightly, leaving the dagger in her. "Well, you were taking far too long to get rid of that fool. Mistress Edea was worried you wouldn't be able to finish him off, so she sent me to do the job for you! Of course, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to see this wonderful look on your face too. I often wondered what you'd look like when I killed you. I have waited so long to find out." He gave another laugh, twirling a second dagger in his hand.
With ragged breaths Kiyari turned away from her brother, lifting her gaze to meet Caize's as she staggered forwards, reaching for him. Her knees gave out, however, and she crumpled to the floor at his feet. From nearby Raiju gave a furious, heart rending roar of anguish and leapt forwards, slashing at the boy with his great claws, intent on ripping him apart. Kainen tsked and back flipped easily out of the way. "I don't feel like playing with pussycats today, my apologies." He said lightly, giving a flick of his hand. "Kilgharr, take care of it for me!" Huge flames burst into existence in front of Kainen, who quickly backed away whilst an enormous dragon-like beast formed in the flames. Its loud and vicious shriek upon materialising caused the windows of the hall the shatter instantly, showering everyone with glass. Raiju skidded to a stop, his tail lashing the ground as he faced the huge GF with a look of hatred. "Mistress Edea had a lot of fun playing your strings like a puppet, dearest sister, but now she's bored of you. Oh well. I can still have some fun, right?" Kainen laughed from behind the dragon.

He could have struck her while she was down, but he didn't. Caize lowered his strange sword and watched her. His eyes seemed to lack any feeling as he looked down at her. He let her speak, but his expression didn't change. It wasn't until the end that a faint trace of anything crossed his features, and it looked like regret. "Yes. I have and they never took the time to realize how difficult they managed to make things for me." Caize responded, his tone surprisingly level and unemotional. Raiju's growl got his attention, Caize averting his gaze from Kiyari and looked towards the door as it opened. His expression darkened as he watched Kiyari rush to the boy. No, there was something wrong here. Kiyari was blind to it, but Caize was not. It wasn't until they embraced and the boy looked at him that Caize realized just what was wrong.
Oddly, Caize didn't move as Kiyari stumbled away from the boy, collapsing in a heap on the ground. His jaw seemed set though, like he was tense. And then, then it happened. Wings, like a fairy, sprouted from Caize's back, flickering faintly, uneasily in the hall even as the glass showered over him. There were very few things that could trigger a limit break. The most common of course was being near death, but there was another. Intense emotion, on the line of distress. "Phoenix, do it." Caize stated, starting to walk forward, flicking his sword out. Light sufficed around Caize, his wings flickering dimly.
G Free- Final Dream
"You're going to die here, Kid." Without warning, Phoenix took to the air behind Caize, all of his feathers catching fire as he did so. With the blinding light from the flames behind him, Caize pulled something from his side and aimed. His wings disappeared as a bright flash of light exploded from his left hand, hitting the larger gf and essentially dropping an advanced version of holy on the GF. His right handed sword, the sword from Esthar, had faded from sight, making Caize look very much like he wasn't even wielding a weapon at all. Phoenix rushed past Caize, exploding into a fiery form of itself, sending the whole area up in flames. Caize didn't even seem impeded as he dug his feet in and suddenly rushed after the kid. After catching the whole area on fire, Pheonix seemed to disappear, leaving no trace behind. The fires remained, though they dimmed after a few moments. The damage was hardly incredible given what the bird had done, doing almost as much as if Caize had casted a firaga.
Fire had cropped up between the vision of the boy and Caize, but then all of a sudden, there was Caize, having appeared through it. The boy's GF would be preoccupied with Kiyari's gf, and as it were, Kiyari was not dead. Her gf would remain. Pheonix's final attack was no less than rebirth flame. Scorching the entire are to heal the wounds of those it came into contact with that were designated as targets for healing. Notably, Caize and Kiyari. "If you hesitate, you're dead." Caize warned, the only warning the boy would get as Caize lunged in at him, swinging his arms down at the boy as if he were wielding a sword. The strange device he had used moments ago was no where to be seen. If the kid didn't block or move, he would find that the lack of a weapon in Caize's hand meant nothing.
Caize's sword was invisible, made only worse by it's increased length and ability to warp as it struck something. Caize's sword was surrounded by light, reflecting the would back to those who looked at it, making the sword seem invisible, and the light itself would bend as the sword was blocked to strike anyone foolish enough to try to block his invisible sword. Holy Edge. That was the name of this limit break.
As the boy was about to learn, Caize was holding his sword.

Vampire Kiss
From behind his GF and the crackling flames that surrounded it, Kainen laughed in a high, cold tone at Caize's comment that he would die. "Oh? Did you care about her? That's too bad. She probably didn't even know, she's terrible at reading people. I mean, she never even knew her own dear brother was working with Mistress Edea all this time!" Kainen laughed again, as if this thought gave him great amusement, whilst lightly tossing the dagger in his hand and catching it. "And now she'll die, having achieved nothing, along with you." A malicious grin spread across his features. It was clear that the boy didn't believe Caize could kill him at all. Was he insane? Overly confident? "Such pretty wings you have, sorcerer." Kainen added, and watched calmly as Pheonix took to the air in a burst of fire, appearing only mildly interested in the bird. His own GF gave another high, enraged shriek, beating its wings hard and causing the magical blazing fires around it to surge towards the Holy spell that Caize had directed at him, crashing into it and causing a large explosion that rocked the hall, even causing debris to fall from the ceiling. Raiju had quickly disappeared in a flash of lightning to avoid the explosion, he then immediately reappeared and leapt at the dragon with his claws outstretched, snarling with vicious, absolute hatred. From there began a fast and violent fight between the two GF's as they dodged and struck at each other in the hall. Kilgharr was much larger than Raiju and seemed to counter his attacks easily, however the tiger was faster and more precise.
Meanwhile Kainen actually seemed a little surprised by the impressive fire wave that Pheonix had conjured across the hall before it disappeared. He reacted quickly, giving a flick of his hand to cast Aera, blowing out air magic around himself in a circle, which clashed against the wave that the bird had cast, stopping it from reaching him and momentarily creating a high wall of roaring flame around him. He was pleased to see that the bird's flames soon dimmed, just in time to see Caize lunging towards him with his apparently invisible sword. "Oh ho, this should be exciting!" Kainen cried, back flipping out of the way as his opponent swung down. "I've never fought an invisible weapon before!" He had no idea of what the sword's range was like this, or its abilities, so it was best to avoid close combat. He had never much been one for fighting so close anyways. He was rather curious about the weapon, though. It had to be a limit break, surely. "Protect." The boy muttered, casting the spell on himself as she skidded to a stop several feet from Caize. He knew the guy would be on him immediately, so he didn't hesitate and flicked his hand out, sending the small dagger he was holding flying directly at Caize's throat with great speed. "Let me see what you've got!" He cried enthusiastically, pulling at his shirt. The fastenings parted easily, as if the shirt was made that way. Underneath it Kainen appeared to be wearing a black vest, upon which dozens of small daggers were attached, some of them bearing coloured markings as if they perhaps had different properties. The boy's dark red eyes glinted with sinister intent, and his mouth twisted up in a wolfish grin. His stance was tense, ready to start moving and dodging the second Caize came after him.
Further away Kiyari still lay on the ground, struggling to stay conscious and still stunned from what her brother had done. She felt the healing power of the fire touch her, giving her some relief, however with the dagger still in her stomach it couldn't completely heal her. Drawing ragged breaths she clasped a weak hand over the bloodied hilt, attempting to pull it out and giving a faint cry of pain at the sharp stab of agony just touching it provoked. "C-Caize..." She breathed, turning her blurry gaze towards the unfolding battle.

Caize barely seemed to react as the kid jumped away from him, Caize slowly standing as he swung his hand up. With a clang, the kid's dagger went flying high into the air as Caize stood watching him with narrowed eyes. "You're also an idiot if you can't tell the difference between a sorcerer and me." Caize slowly lowered his sword back to a resting position as the kid pulled his shirt off, revealing the daggers. Caize's expression was level as he took in the boy's weapons. Caize's wrist was moving in a circle, likely indicating that Caize was spinning his sword in his hand as he tapped his side with his left hand. Once. Twice. Thrice. And then, all of sudden, Caize swung his hand out. "Holy."
The light exploded into life around Kainen, sending the damaging rays straight to the ceiling. The light itself would have been enough to blind Kainen, not accounting for the pain of Holy striking him, even if he managed to move to lessen the impact. However, The area around the holy spell was struck with multiple bolts of heavy lightning right after the spell struck "Thundara." It was impressive that he casted two spells so quickly, one after the other, but perhaps that was what his delay had been in chasing the boy. The mix of lightning and holy would have made it impossible for the kid to keep track of Caize and also manage to protect himself from the two magical spells. It was at this point that Caize seemed to strike.
As the light from holy faded and the bolts of lightning receeded, there was Caize, in the air, coming down at Kainen with his invisible sword cutting through the air with enough force to break Kainen's guard. If the boy made the mistake of blocking, he'd find himself impaled as the light effect around the blade went past his defence and struck him. What was worse was that Caize's Holy Edge was not a physical attack, Kainen's protect did nothing to help him against Caize at this point.
