[BatGirl], finally feeling a right size again after her ventures through the strange rooms, and the flowers and lily pads, made her way back into the woods. She hummed a little as she went, admiring the forest alive with color and strange creatures. What she wouldn't give to get some of these things into her lab for studying. Truly, this was a fascinating place. A voice floated to her ears, and she looked for a tree to be speaking, as there was nothing else around just at this moment.

Then the cat faded into view. "You may call me a Cheshire cat," it begins, fading in and out of sight at random will, "but just one of many. We reside here you see. This is a nice place, and we so very much do enjoy a good riddle. Let us play a small game, if you will so indulge me. I'll give you something nice of course in return. All right, here goes the riddle"

The girl, listened intently as the partially invisible cat took a moment before stating his riddle. ""What kind of plant grows but never dies?" It was a hard one. Plants always died.

"What kind of plant grows, but never dies?" She echoed, turning the idea over in her head. "What kind of plant...what kind of plant grows, but never dies?" Her mouth twitched in thought as she worked it over. It just didn't make sense though! Come on! She was smarter than this. After all, she was a Cheshire of her own sort! "Never dies...but grows..." Her voice sputtered off in a series of repetitions as she tested different words.

"Why, it's not a plant at all! Not really! Poison! Which grows in the heart, and destroys, but is never really gone!" she finally blurted out, only to be answered with a grin from the cat.

"Very good! All right, now it is your turn. Ask me a riddle, and give me a second to think. If I guess right however, I win. If I don't guess right, then you win, and I will give you my treasure. Come now, ask me anything. A riddle is as good as a story."

She got quiet for a moment, thinking. Her lips pursed and she ran her tongue over her teeth before the idea struck her. "Thirty white horses on a red hill, first they stomp, then they chomp, then they stand still."

The cat grew quite, it's tail curling in and out, and it's stripes fading in and out. He hemmed and hawed, musing over the riddle, but he finally answered, and [BatGirl]'s smile grew.

"Wrong. They're teeth!" She exclaimed, pleased with herself for stumping the Cheshire Cat.

"A surprising twist, but I love surprises. You are quite the clever one, and for that, you deserve a small prize. Just this time, of course, just once." It grinned a rather wide grin before indicating to the treasure chest which had just appeared.

"Thank you!" She called to the cat, which was now disappearing from view. Opening the chest, she collected her prizes.
