When a guy is very clear that he's interested in me, I have no idea how to react, what to feel or what to do.

Okay, so here's an update. That married guy from before...well, he's not really married anymore. He separated from his wife today, doesn't wear the wedding ring anymore, etc. Now he's dropping hints that something 'might' happen with us soon.

I don't know how to respond to that anymore. At first, I was like 'Nah, he's not going to leave her because of their kid' and now that he's in the process of a full divorce, things got a lot more complicated for me. There's a lot wrong I can think of about this. The big one, he has a kid. I'm not into dating dudes with kids, because I'm not cool with being a step mommy if s**t gets serious.

Another thing, I'm extremely ******** loyal to my best friend. I mean, yeah, I b***h and complain about him, but I still love him and part of me does still think he and I belong together. But at the same time, I'm tired of waiting for something that might not happen. I feel an opportunity like this, where someone that's openly interested in me comes around, might not happen again.

So yeah, never really thought I'd be in this situation before. I was hoping it would pass. Guess not. I'm pretty sure y'all are sick of hearing about my best friend, but he plays a major part of this as well as being a major part of my life.

Obvious white text is obvious.

Maybe now's the time to actually tell your best friend you desire him.

I think you're right. But I don't know what to do about the other guy and his advances. It's not like their unwanted, I gotta admit.

I agree with Ali. You need to talk to your best friend.
I'd find it very suspicious, as well, if the newly unmarried man expects something with you immediately.
It's just...odd. And he sounds unreliable.
Again, this is the push you needed to talk to your best friend.

Oh, no, no, I should have mentioned. He said if something does happened, it would be months from now, nothing immediate. But he does tell me that once he starts dating again, I'm the one he wants to date. Something about me being the type of girl he likes and how I helped make his day/life easier with the issues with his life and stuff.

And I am going to talk to my friend, this is something that really needs to be done. No more pussyfooting around.

OK now he was close, tried to domesticate you,
but you're an animal, baby, it's in your nature ~ ♫

I agree with Ali. I think it's time to tell your best friend how you feel about him. It's 50/50 but hey at least you will know the answer right?
