Carmine- The English word "carmine" is derived from the French word carmin (12 c.), from Medieval Latin carminium, from Arabic qirmiz "crimson," from Sanskrit krimiga "insect-produced", from krmi "worm, insect". Influenced in Latin by minium "red lead, cinnabar", said to be of Iberian origin.
It is also a shade of red...

The Dreamer Name: Zeus Romulus Titan Gender: Male Age: 21 Appearance: Zeus is tall, taller than his younger twin and most males he interacts with on a daily basis, which is at least 6'10 on a good day. He has narrow dark gray eyes, most would swear that they were silted like a snakes, but he'd wave it off as their fear getting the best of them. His hair isn't as long as his twins, but it reaches his elbows in a straight fall. His hair while not as vibrant of a Red as his brothers, is more along the shade of the deepest red seen as the sun sets. His skin tone is Ivory and a tad more healthy looking than his brothers, while his body is more along the lines of a nightclub bouncer. He has no noticeable scars, but does have a trio of scars along his back from some long ago traumatic event. Personality: Zeus is silent, not a mysterious silence more like you don't want to know what he's thinking silence. This guy knows how to talk to others and rarely forgives someone if they're proven themselves worthless or two-faced in his mind. He keeps most people at a distance as his Father made way too many foes for the youth to be able to live normally. He resents his parents and actually notices that his younger brother is doing things for him. He only pushes away those he knows he'll come to care for... Zeus has a wicked temper. Seriously, his temper is what has most people fearing when he does. He has the merciless streak which allows him to do things without feeling much. History: Zeus was born as the elder half of a set of twins born to a high level CEO and his young wife. Zeus, unlike his twin was pushed due to being the firstborn. He learned early in life that adults were evil and most of them were out out to use you for their own gain. His only solace as a child was his interactions with his younger twin. He actually kept all the attention on him as he excelled where his parents wanted him to. He wanted to keep his twins innocent and purity intact. As time went on his Father's enemies made themselves known. He and his twin were kidnapped on a rare occasion. Sadly, one particular kidnapping resulted in the near-death of his twin...which thankfully his brother doesn't remember and only has a single scar from. After that, he isolated his brother knowing that the other would be spared as long as they were parted. Since then the elder has buried himself in studies and art. A hidden passion his parents have no idea he holds, he actually is a successful artist under the Alias: Anubis. He usually uses his brother a muse for his most paintings or sketches. He is perusing a Masters Degree in Business as well as a Degree in Art, his excuse for the Art Degree is to look "cultured" to outsiders. He adores the fact his brother is trying to help him, but he has every intention of taking the Families Burden on his own. Zeus has always had a fear of Blood, ever since he saw his brother get beaten and scarred for life. He was at his siblings side through the hospital stay and while he himself was also scarred he values his twins well-being above his own.

The Dream/ Nightmare He sat on the window sill of the large mansion, his dull eyes overlooking the large sprawling gardens. He saw children playing...
Innocent, bright and pure children. He raised a hand to trace the path the children would take smiling softly as the smaller of the two kept stopping to either marvel at the wildflowers or touch a flower gently. He stood up and looked around the room he was in. The color of the house was black and white, everything was...he didn't mind that. The lack of color showed what was pure and what was corrupt. He let his eyes wander over the Victorian couch. Memories of two children sleeping side by side on it flashing across his vision. The dull orbs then wandered over a vanity. Images of watching a beautiful woman get ready for a party danced through his mind.
He started a walk through the dark hallway, his mind not all together there. Shadows of childhood fears flitted at the corner of his eyes. He ignored them for the most part, they were trivial matters which the male rarely paid any mind to. He came to a stop at a red bag. the moon bleed in his mind as he watched the bag distantly. He stepped over it, leaving the bag to lay in the dark hall. Leaving the first of his carmine memories to fester and rot. He kept walking until he came to a carmine door. This door led to the one room that the male really could care less for. He continued on, leaving yet another carmine memory to rot.
Finally reaching outside he looked down the path, now riddled with carmine flowers. Each flower that the smaller child had touched were now brightly colored. His eyes remained blank as he slowly walked down the path nearing the sounds of children's laughter. He knew with growing fear that that the laughter would soon turn to screams. He's footsteps starting picking up speed as his eyes started to gain emotion. The blank look was being slowly replaced by rising concern. Then he broke out into a complete run as he heard the scream....
His pounding heart and feet brought him not to a garden clearing but a warehouse. He watched as a shadowy male threw the taller of the two children from before to the side. He tried to run forward to save the smaller child only to feel the shadows themselves bind his limbs in place. He screamed as he watched the smaller child get beaten. Nothing but carmine red obscuring his view...the greatest of his carmine memories laying before his eyes. He dropped to the ground the scream dying as he heard shuddering breaths coming from the wall. He looked to the child, being held....by a shadow.
No, wait...he was never held when this happened...who?
"Who are you...?" his deep voice echoed out as the shadow looked up. He felt himself drop as he locked eyes with...
Carmine Red.Zeus shot up panting...running a hand through his long hair shaking. He looked around and his eyes landed on the red spider lilies sitting in the window. Their carmine red color a pale reminder of the memories he left in his wake...

The Oneiroi Name: Lycoris Gender: Male Race: Black Flying Fox Bat Essence: Carmine Memories Item: Red Spider Lily Personality Silent, usually thinking over every little detail he normally doesn't talk unless he's finished thinking over the current situation. He shows a possessive protective streak when his Dreamer is involved in the conversation or circumstance. Normally taking on an indifferent air towards other Reves/Nightmares as he could care less for them. It would take a lot for one to spark his interest and even more to keep it. During the Dream, he enjoys watching the growing fear on his Dreamers face consoling the child form in order to sub-consciously manipulate his Dreamer to trust him. He holds a more twisted side that he has yet to unleash... Physical Appearance The main focus of your form. Please include the following and feel free to add more as you like. Pallet: Black, silvery gray, carmine red and dark orange. Body: With a dark caramel skin tone to his lithe youthful form, he stands at about 7'8 at a healthy weight. He has large black wings with a faint pattern of veins shown as he extends them. Hair: He has waist length silvery gray hair which flares out around his torso. SwordOfTheDarkOnes Personality More of a possessive protector than anything Lycoris adores making his dreamer feel safe. That is his task alone, anyone else will be met with hostility. The male enjoys watching his Dreamer go through their nightmare only to envelope them in shadows with mummers of being safe with him. He would encourage damaging thoughts only if it suits him. His possessive streak can and will extend to others if he sees potential to use them against his Dreamer. He is silent when interacting with other Nightmares or Reves as he really doesn't care for them. This part needs to be clarified and/or elaborated, please. Right now it reads as though you forgot a word somewhere, because he adores making "his dreamer feel safe," nothing else, but then "if he sees potential to use [people] against his dreamer." This is pretty contradictory. I would also avoid future plots for kidnappings for your dreamer here and in Free Fall since they are the children of a big-name family. I'm sure there are plenty of ways that could be used in other rp though. It will be quite interesting to see what happens to them... That's all I can think of at this time.

CrispyWonderMint I was referring to both Dreamers having a history of being kidnapped. smile That would be something to avoid in the future, since that could step on meta territory. Oh yeah, I actually have a blank slate for their Plot Ideas. They haven't been kidnapped since they entered College. Partly because Zeus has a permit to carry a gun and Jupiter knows how to handle a knife. >>
