Aravind nodded as he started toward the trail head. "There's a difference between not fearing much and wanting to die. But it's ok to be afraid too. It's just a natural response to some things. Typically to those we don't understand or where we don't know much about something. Like ghosts. A lot of ponies fear ghosts because they don't know much about them."

Demonica was a bit surprised. "Really? I've seen some ghosts before and they were fairly friendly." She paused for a moment thinking. "Although one of them was malicious, but thanks to another one no harm was done." She followed him to the trail and looked at it. "Hmm, rather interesting. Do you fear anything in particular?"

Aravind exhaled a breath as he thought. "I suppose I'm afraid of lots of things. Machinery scares me. I don't understand how it works. I think I'm most afraid of my family being torn apart though." He maneuvered himself around a rock pile as they walked, "My mom is my dad's second mate. Apparently things didn't go so well with the first and he left her. I have three siblings from that endeavor, and two stay with us. One is as nice as can be, but the other can get nasty. She blames my mom for destroying her family. I suppose I would too though." He shrugged, "It will be what it will be though, so I try not to get to riled up over it."

Demonica listened to his tale. "Oh...I'm sorry about that. I don't know what it's even like to have a family since I was taken from mine." She looked down a bit. "I want to say you're family right now can be strong and stick together no matter what, but yet I'm slightly a realist bordering pessimist. Let's just say as long as the family is willing to make it work and actually dedicate themselves to it, then anything is possible." She then looked back up. "At least you got those who care about you." Demonica managed a small smile. It wasn't too often she did that, but hearing of his problems somehow made her feel a bit better.
