The green haired girl smiled politely at both Diana and the boy who had introduced himself as Chris. She'd remembered seeing him earlier, but didn't think she had known his name until then. It also occurred to her that she hadn't introduced herself either, at least not that she could remember. Turning towards him, she nodded. "Mei. It's nice to meet you both." She said, letting her smile linger a moment longer, at least for Chris's sake since Diana couldn't see it, then let it fade again. Speaking with people wasn't something she was normally good at. Over the internet, yes. But in person, not so much. She watched Diana's dog in silence as he seemed to be enthusiastic about being pet, finding it quite amusing.
Meiko's attention shifted as she heard a door open and watched as Eiji reentered the room following a man she presumed was Mr. Tajiri. As she listened to the man speak Japanese, and then Eiji translate in English, her excitement seemed to rise. The game was unlike any game they had experienced before, and they all were able to test it. She felt very privileged. Once he had stopped speaking and left the room once more, Mei waved good bye to Chris and quietly said good bye to Diana before hurrying back to her game and console. She dug in her pocket for her game, her eyes widening to find it gone. A slight feeling of panic tore through her, until she remembered she had put it on top of the console. Shaking her head at herself, she picked it up and prepared her console, then turned it on.

[ CHRISTIAN ]
Christian paid close attention to Eric as he translated Mr Tajiri's words. He was sad and a little confused to see the both of them leave so quickly, but he supposed it was just part of the whole thing. What did he mean by working together, though? How much teamwork was required to play Pokemon? After they left Christian looked over at Diana who had turned her game on and then down at Bravo, who was napping. Obviously they would be here a while. The sight made him smile as he turned on his game.
As Christian's DS turned on and the computers inside churned, signals were being sent back and forth along the cord that he was plugged into. It didn't lead to the adapter port, but the other external port. Strange, but he didn't think too much of it. Perhaps they just needed to log information from his game session. The title screen rolled but Christian skipped past it. He had seen it already, as cool as it was. He loaded up a new game file and put in his character's name as "Diamond". It wasn't often he used the real name of the player character, but it seemed right this time around. As soon as he entered his name his screen went... blank. As if his Pokemon was evolving, but insted of the Pokemon, there came up the Pokemon logo, a Poke ball. This was very odd to Christian. He tried to look around for anyone to help out with the problem, but there was no one else but all the players around him. Not only that, as he gazed at the screen he saw the Poke ball start to glow and grow in size on screen. Now very confused, he said out loud "...Uhhh, is anybody else seeing this?" He looked over at Diana and Mei at their consoles and they had the exact same thing. What the hell was going on? For some reason Christian couldn't pull his eyes away from what was going. It was all too weird, but he didn't want to stop watching. His curiosity was getting the better of him. Suddenly the Poke ball broke open with the trademark sound and a bright light emerged, so bright it almost hurt Christian's eyes. He wanted to let go, but he couldn't. The light was actually radiating OUT of his DS and engulfing him. Needless to say he let out a scream as he was immediately pulled forward out of his chair. But he didn't hit the table.
He was falling.
Falling faster and faster through an empty black void.Christian tumbled all through the air, trying to find right side up, but there was nothing to see in the dark. He could only cry out as he passed out...
There hadn't been much to say about Tyler, mostly because by the time they really got around to talking, it had pretty much been time for Eric and Satoshi Tajiri to come back. The sound of the door being opened signaled how they had ran out of time, and after the other boy had given him a handshake and comment, which Luke had nodded at, he turned his attention to the their hosts. When you were at the event of the century, it was hard not to be excited about what you were going to do. The sight of the creator of Pokemon himself, had only increased his excitement, though he refrained himself from taking pictures.
Time was of the essence in this situation, which their tour guide Eric, had emphasized, specifically stating autographs could come later. Throughout the announcement, Luke had done his best to memorize the gist of it, and specifically the conditions of what could possibly go on in the game. Most of the stuff they were able to guess from the invitation, but the main point of the announcement seemed to have been focused on working together in the game. Luke actually had no problems with trying to get along with everyone, so it wasn't a worry for him, just something to keep in mind. After a farewell, they were told to turn their games on.
Grinning, he gave one last look around the room of attendees like him, specifically glancing at Cole, Meiko, Tyler, and Emir. It was going to be a challenge guessing who was who in the game, but he at least could identify a few people. Without a further ado, he had inserted his Pokemon Ruby back into the slot, and turned his limited edition onyx ds on. The familiar splash screen of his game soon rolled by, although Luke had skipped through it this time, wanting to get inside the game. He already had a file on there, using the player name Ruby in honor of the character, but had chosen a new game anyway, for a couple of reasons.
The main point as to why, was simply because it was a new experience with everyone, so he thought it would have been best to start with a new plate. After re-entering the name Ruby, he found that his screen went blank. There wasn't a panic coming from him, as he recognized the background enough to know it was kinda like the evolution screen, which he turned out to be right about, as a pokeball had popped up. Eyes kept focused on the screen, he watched as the ball started to get bigger, reminding him of the intro of Pokemon Diamond, where they had to press it to get anywhere in the intro. This had been quite different however.
Instead of stopping in size, this had seemed to keep on growing, as if it was trying to burst out of the screen. Before he had known it, a blinding flash of white had broken out from the screen with the trademark sound of a pokeball opening being played. It had actually engulfed him inside, the feeling he had gotten reminding him of going down a rollercoaster, as everything around him had gotten dark. Going with the feeling, he had shouted out his best "Whoooo!!" before a pressure, kind of like a nag at his head, had caused him to pass out.

SPEAKINGTHINKINGEmir barely had time to sit down before he heard the large doors close. He glanced at them for a moment before watching Eric enter with another person. The young man could only nod in understanding as the stranger was introduced. The man that had sent letters to all of them had appeared before them and explained vaguely what they would be testing. As he spoke, the pinkette felt himself getting more anxious ready to begin whatever virtual reality gaming was.
He felt relieved when the translator stopped speaking and turned back to his console pulling out his Pokemon Black and inserting it into its designated slot. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary as he watched his game load. But he did realize they hadn’t given them any head gear to immerse themselves into the game. “Wait- did we get a false start?” he asked himself quickly moving through the usual load up screens. Suddenly he caught sight of a never before seen one. Had Game Freak done something different this time?
Of course the male didn’t have much time to think on this as the loge proceeded to emit a blinding flash of light, forcing him to try to look away. There was a strange sensation of falling instead of ‘being transported’ and the familiar roller coaster butterflies emerged again in his stomach. Except, as frightening as falling without being able to see anything, he felt himself losing consciousness. Passing out was definitely not the way he anticipated this at all. Unable to fight it off, Emir only felt animalistic panic as he finally lost consciousness. .

Confusion crossed Mei's face as she watched her old gameboy color display a strange new start up screen. Had she inserted the game wrong? She turned the game over and saw the familiar yellow cartridge, thus causing her confusion to increase. Glancing around the room at the others, she wondered if the others were having the same strange issue.
As she turned her game around to look at the screen once more, a bright blinding light emitted from the game, causing her to cry out in surprise and squint to try and see what was going on with her game. Surely this wasn't a malfunction, was it?The light seemed to be pouring out more and more with each passing second. Mei just didn't understand what was going on. A terrible headache started to form from the blinding light alone, and for some reason she felt as if she was being... sucked into the light? As she seemed like she was getting closer, she realized there was a pokeball on her screen. Was she being pulled into a pokeball? The confusion worsened her headache. Slight fear of not knowing what was going on tugged at her. She didn't feel like she was in that room in the Nintendo HQ anymore. Where was she? Her thoughts continued to swirl until her consciousness started to fade and she eventually passed out.

"You can always make new friends"
Tyler put in his pokemon X and proceeded to turn the game on, very quickly he noticed something strange. 'This isn't the same start screen...' he thought to himself as he looked around curiously. 'Am I the only one with this problem?' he thought turning back to the screen. As he did a bright light began to be produced from the console, Tyler shielded his eyes. 'Is this supposed to be happening?' Tyler shut his eyes tightly as the light grew brighter. He opened his eyes hoping that the light had dulled down a bit and quickly began feeling dizzy. Unable to close his eyes again he noticed a pokeball appearing on his screen as he fell into a trance like state, as he watched as it seemed to envelope him then everything went dark as he passed out.

Diana was fairly certain she'd named her game 'Crystal'. It was default program that ran in the background so she didn't mess up on accident. However, she was a little confused at the alarm she was hearing from everyone around her. "What are you talking about?" She asked, since no one actually explained what they'd seen. Then again, why would they? It isn't a common thing to do. However, she heard the scream from Christian as she felt herself moved sharply forward, bracing to hit the table in front of her, only to find it wasn't there as a strange feeling of falling occurred.
What was strange though was that things were getting brighter, and Diana shut her eyes tight to block out what she was seeing. Wait...seeing? She didn't have time to ponder as she felt herself pass out from the shock of everything around her.
I can do this right...

Within the monitor room overlooking the VR test that had begun just minutes ago, a phone beeped in one of the few employee's pockets. Turns out it was Eiji's, and he retrieved the device from his pocket and quickly glanced at the screen and the message displayed. Turns out there was a couple extra event-goers that had somehow been even further behind than the group currently... in-game. Eiji stepped back and towards a corner of the confined space that he shared with three other employees, and entered a speed dial number. In rapid-fire Japanese, he and the recipient of the call exchanged a plan of action for getting the stragglers to the event. As soon as the conversation was over, Eiji hung up and resumed his work.
Things weren't going to be easy and the newcomers would not have any time to waste, and there wouldn't be any way for them to meet the players that have already begun the beta -- other than joining them in-game.

• • • She was late. That was all Azariah could think of while she shoveled the last wheelbarrow of muk into the giant pile her family had been accumulting for fertilizer. The brunette could hardly stand being late, and she just hoped the poor weather would delay her flight. Speaking of which, she still had to get dressed. There was no sense in her going to a ritzy company covered in horse muk. Quickly going inside her house, Aza flew to her room almost literally, got dressed in her favorite outfit, and pulled out her luggage case she had hidden under her bed out.
Her parents would be furious if they knew where she was going, and for what reason. But, she had reasoned, she was eighteen and could make her own decisions. This was going to be her last Pokemon excursion anyways now that "certain responsibilities" had been placed on her shoulders.
Those thoughts in mind, she head out the door to her black pickup truck, not bothering to be silent on accont that her parents were in Tennesee at the moment. She lugged her bad into the passenger side of the two seater as she climbed in. She turned the key and revved the engine a bit so it could warm up against the cold. As soon as she was sure it wouldn't die on her, Aza backed out of her halfmile long driveway into the open road.
The drive to the airport took three hours with the snow delay. Her tires were new, though, so she didn't worry about it too much. She was just glad that her plane wouldn't have taken off yet. She parked, unpacked, and locked her truck up tight before heading inside. She turned in her luggage first, making sure to take her ticket, passport, flip phone, and DS out before heading further in. When she got to her gate, sure enough, she saw that her flight had been delayed due to weather.
In half an hour, though, it had cleared up and she was on her way, making two stops in different states to change planes. The last stretch was incredibly long, but Aza had made sure to save her battery life on her DS for it so she wouldn't become bored. She was playing her Sapphire game, attempting to level up every Pokemon in the region to one hundred. So far she only had thirty five completely leveled out.
By the time her plane landed in Kyoto, she had thirty seven. Saving her game and turning off her DS, she head out of the terminal and into customs where she had her money switched over and luggage checked. She looked around the pick up area, hoping to see her name being held on carboard by one of the many chauffers standing by the drive in port. She was extremely worried that she had missed her ride. After a bit of looing, Aza called over a taxi. She knew where she was heading because of her invitation, and was glad her cab driver knew a spot of english having dealt with American Tourists before, no doubt. By the time she had slowly explained where she wanted to go, the man had arrived at Nintendo headquarters. She thanked him immensely, giving him some yen that she had no idea how to count. He laughed and took the bill she gave him, handing her several coins as change.
Feeling slightly embarassed, Aza got out of the car and head up to the immense building's front entrance. She stood in front of it, unsure where to go next. In the end she ended up just loitering there, wondering if she should knock.

Eiji's phone beeped once more, and as soon as he glanced at the message displayed, he excused himself to retrieve one of the arriving event-goers. Within six minutes he was outside and approaching the girl. His nametag was still pinned to his lapel, still reading "Eric." "Hi! You must be... Azariah?" he asked in accented English. The Nintendo worker wasn't sure if he pronounced her name correctly, but he couldn't let it get to him. "Come quickly, the event has already started and Tajiri-sama doesn't want anyone to miss this." He motioned for her to follow him, and he briefly explained again what she already knew about the event. Eiji even went so far as to mention that rooms have been already set up, and one of his fellow coworkers will drop her luggage off in the prepared room.
Meanwhile, as he led her to the testing room, he explained a bit more about the event itself. "Nintendo has, of course, developed a new virtual reality system, and it's just behind these doors. Everyone that arrived before you has already gotten started, so you'll find a number of cables to connect to your game system, so pick any one that you like and have a seat." Eiji put his hand on the door as he said the last of what he needed to tell the new arrival. "Go ahead and start a new game file, and give it whatever name you feel comfortable with, since from what we've found out so far, that's what the NPC's will call you. You can interact with everyone, even tell them your real name, but just be careful..." he trailed off as he slid the door open wide enough for Aza to slip through. "I am unable to answer any other questions you might have, and I apologize because Tajiri-sama does not want any delay on the research we find. Please, enter."
Eiji dared not to look inside the VR testing room, especially while outside the monitor room. He did not want to know what went on in there, aside from the group of players, well, testing. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see the large television screen that encompassed one wall, and directed his gaze down the hall instead. Once Aza had entered, he closed the door and returned to the monitor room above the players.

You're all set to go! You can make one more post here stating that you'll exit to Nuvema, and be on your merry way! I'll be seeing you in-game later!
Aza was hurriedly greeted by a man whos name tag she barely read said Eric. The obviously Japanese decendant looked as if he was trying to act calm, but she could tell he was a bit rushed. He explained to her the situation on hand and had some people take away her luggage to the room. She would have gone to do it herself, but found that she had no time to as Eric led her to a room with strange, heavy looking doors. He mentioned the VR sytem that she would be testing along with the other beta testers and allowed her to step inside the dark room.
As she went, he warned her to be careful about her introductions, which was strange. She wondered what he meant, because it sounded like something ominously important. Unfortunately for her, though, the man claimed to be busy and she only nodded, walking the rest of the way inside.
Finding a seat on the far end that was open, Aza plugged in her DS lite with the Sapphire cartridge. She started up the game and named her character Sapphire without much thought. She could always change it if she restarted the game. That, and Eric's words of caution echoed through her mind.
As Aza was looking down at her game console's screen, a strange start up scene greeting her. She squinted her eyes at it curiously, and soon her head was filled with white noise. A sense of falling gripped her, but she was unable to right herself before the white faded to grey and black.

"A spark soaring down through the pouring rain and restoring life to the lighthouse"
Muttering to herself, Alethea could not believe that she had arrived into Japan late for the meet up with everyone for the event. The strawberry blond, blue and pink haired twenty year old was pissed at herself and was basically running to get to the luggage claim, in order to grab her suitcase. Her flight which would had have arrived early was delayed immensely in the United States due to the weather, which Thea should had have taken in account for but didn't. But anyway, it took her about ten whole minutes in order to find her suitcase and she immediately rolled it behind her as fast as she could and began to put her jacket on her body since she was only wearing jeans, sandals and a black laced bustier top, which meant she was going to freeze once she left the airport. Trying to take a deep breath as best she could, Alethea began to wave her hand in search of getting a taxi driver's attention. Once a taxi driver saw her waving her hand, she helped put her suitcase in the back of the trunk before getting in and telling him where she needed to go. Now all Alethea could do was be as patient as she could as she waited to see the very entrance that would lead her to someplace she would never dreamed of going. Just closing her eyes for a little bit in the twenty year old eyes was actually the whole time it took the taxi driver to drive them to the building's entrance. Taking another deep breath, the strawberry blonde, blue and pink striped haired girl fetched her suitcase and walked to the building nervously as she looked around wondering where she was suppose to go and what she was suppose to do.
Another beep emanated from the young Eiji's phone, and he knew immediately what it was about. There wasn't any point in looking at the message. Excusing himself again, the Nintendo employee departed for the main entrance to Nintendo's HQ. Once outside, he saw the next arrival -- albeit later than he'd expected, but still. Still wearing the name tag that read "Eric" he approached the girl. "Good evening! We've been expecting you for quite some time! Please, come inside, there's no time to waste," he said as he took her luggage and motioned for her to follow. On the way there, he recited the spiel about the things the event-goers already knew, and included that her luggage would be taken care of. It would be located in the girl's room, where everyone was staying and everything else that was set up.
After that, as he led her to the testing room, he explained a bit more about the event itself. "Nintendo has, as you know, developed a new virtual reality system, and it's just behind these doors. You can interact with everyone, even tell them your real name, but just be careful..." he trailed off as he slid the door open wide enough for Thea to pass. "I am unable to answer any other questions you might have, and I apologize because Tajiri-sama does not want any delay on the research we find. Please, enter."
Eiji still kept his eyes away from the VR testing room. All he knew that was behind these doors were the group of kids and incredible technology at work. He kept his eyes fixated straight ahead and away from the doors, and once Thea had gone inside, he pulled the door shut and returned to his work above the players in the monitor room.

"A spark soaring down through the pouring rain and restoring life to the lighthouse"
Alethea was looking all around the building from where she stood, that was until she heard a voice speak to her. "Oh, hi I'm so sorry I'm late." She said apologizing to the guy infront of her named Eric. Then she quickly nodded her head and followed after him as she listened to what he was saying so far at the beginning, that was until she realized that she had already known. But once he lead her to the testing room, the blue eyed woman looked straight at Eric and listen carfully to what he was saying about what Nintendo was doing right now, and how the others had already started. Alethea couldn't help but flush a bit pink when she heard that knowing that it was her very own fault that she was late. The with another nod, the strawberry blonde haired girl goes straight into the room, where she found an empty spot near a few people. Grabbing her Pokémon Platinum out of her DSI XL, Thea sits down before placing the card into where it was designated. But once she had put it in, everything was nothing what she had expected at all. All the woman could see was white and she felt like she falling, very fast.
