"Energy Ball!" Maddy called to her Pokemon.
Kadabra called upon the power of nature to create a ball of green energy.

Jeff: X X O
Maddy: X O O

Kadabra raises its spoon high into the air, summoning a small ball of green energy. The ball grew in the cusp of the Psychic Type's spoon until it was too big, continuing to grow until it was about the size of a basketball. With a flick of its wrist, Kadabra sent the attack flying at Pupitar.

Pupitar 344-392=-48

Pupitar 0/344

Pupitar braced itself, readying itself for the inevitable hit. The heavy pokemon was too slow to dodge such an attack, so it braced itself, preparing to counter. Pupitar lowered its head and took the attack head on, attempting to push it back, but the Grass Type move was too strong. It overtook Pupitar with relative ease, flat-lining it. The Rock Type was KO'd.

The hail fell hard, inflicting damage to the still standing Psychic Type.

Kadabra 267-17=250

Kadabra = 250/284

Kadabra 250/284

Jeff
Pupitar 0/344

-------------------------------------------

Move Order: Kadabra, Pupitar
Field Effects & Counters: Hail, one turn.

The battle is over. Jeff has no remaining pokemon. The challenger, Maddy, wins!

Dark sighs and scratches his head. He recalls his Pupitar pretty disappointed and looks down at Brick's ball.
"Sorry bud. If I'd have paid attention to that rain in the first round things would've gone differently."
He then looks up at Maddy.
"Good battle. We should rematch sometime." Dark waves at her and makes his way out of the arena, doing his best to hide how bummed he was feeling.

Maddy smiled at Dark.
"It was fun. I look forward to a rematch."
Her and her Kadabra left the stadium.

A note falls from the sky, in purple hand writing you read the following words:

Cody, you may not know me, for it was another lifetime that we met, but I have been watching your progress and I have some comment. You have progressed far and the road ahead is still rough, but rest assured, the path is not finished.

1) Did Monferno's O-Power activate? If it did, a message would pop up when it exited its Pokeball. Same with all the O-Powers. I only know they activated based on the calcs, but they are LITERALLY stat boosts of 1 stage, meaning both players are aware of it. Please note that this counts towards the +6 boost limit.

2) Just a note. It's a lot easier for the battlers if you add some extra stat modifiers and conditions to the damage read outs so they know what's going on with conditions and stats. Such as:

Kadabra (BRN) 284/284 +1 SpA
Frogadier (Dark) ???/??? -2 Att
Kirlia (Infatuated) etc.

3) Trace activates the SECOND Kirlia is sent out of the ball, it Traces Protean. In this vein, when Kirlia uses Protect, it becomes a Normal type. You got lucky that the next turn Dark type has the same effectiveness on Normal as Psychic Fairy. You got this question wrong in chat.

4) Shadow Sneak has a +1 Priority. It would have hit Kadabra before Psychic hit the GHOST type Kirlia. Psychic doing 151 is an impossible damage number for this attack combo. I calculated a max of 136 without the O-Power applied and a min of 171 with it.

5) Kadabra suddenly went back up to full health even though it took Sandstorm damage. Hail's counter did not decrease and neither Pupitar nor Kadabra took Hail damage.

6) 392 is an impossible damage number for Energy Ball. 384 appears to be the max.
+1 252+ SpA Expert Belt Kadabra Energy Ball vs. +1 252 HP / 252 SpD Eviolite Pupitar: 326-384 (94.7 - 111.6%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO

Because of #3, 4 and 5, I can not allow you to pass the test at this time. Feel free to try again at a later date, until then, Thard and I will be watching from the stands.
