Rend silently agreed with Italia's decision. He didn't really know the Love god all that well himself. Although he did notice the expression on his brother's face before he regained control. And hearing Sear mention the other by name? Well... That was certainly something he might have to tease his brother about later. For now, though, Italia needed him near if she was to deal with his mother, he was sure. Hexynia's ears did not miss Sear's question or seeming to know the Love god's child. She raises an eyebrow slightly, seeming to finally put two and two together. At Slash's suggestion, she gives a slight nod, then blinks at Amor's request. She thinks on this for a moment, her gaze flicking over to Sear as well as she thought. "I must admit, this is unexpected. But since Sear seems to know you well enough to act as he is, I shall agree. Your father knows of this, I would assume? If not, I'm sure that when you return to him, taking Sear with you to explain might hopefully help put him at ease. Although, if you would prefer to wait around until I see what it is Italia wants, I am sure Slash and Sear can find someplace comfortable for you to wait." She had offered hospitality, should Amor choose to accept. She would certainly be back to check on things after she found out what troubled her ally's offspring. With another incline of her head, she motions to a more private room for Italia and Rend to speak with her in. "Now... what is the matter, child?"

Italia waited until they were in a private place to speak before bowing to Hexynia in thanks. "My father.. he.. for the past few weeks has spoken endlessly about the Cursed. I am afraid in the beginning I paid no mind to it. I should have listened more closely to hear exactly what was said. It wasn't until a few days ago he told me of his plan to capture a Cursed... And when I awoke this morning he was missing. No one knows where he went and when I tried to follow him I just got this sinking feeling in my chest. I fear he went off and did just that..."
Her eyes were filled with sadness. Her father was a broken man ever since the Second War. There were fleeting moments of his past self but that smile was so fake it made her sick to think of. She was not sure what the tipping point for his father was. Losing the war? The state the carnival and its inhabitants were in? Jianjun's disappearance? Followers disappearing? All of it? Or whatever childish dream he held onto..? All she knew right now if anyone could even try to get Venezia on the right track it would be Hexynia.

Sear watched Amor as he spoke, a bit surprised that he came all the way here to really join their side. He couldn't help but smile a bit when his mother offered for him to go along with Amor to Syrridan's domain later. He bit his tongue though and waited until his mother left to speak to Italia and Rend before walking over to Amor. "...So you're really serious on this, huh?"

Slash crossed his arms, a smile on his face as he tilted his head, watching his son speak to Amor. He wondered just how far this relationship of theirs went. Were they acquaintances, friends or something more?

Rend frowns, offering his bulk if Italia needed someone to lean on. This definitely was not easy on her. Hexynia blinks as Italia tells her the news, her face dropping to a serious frown the more Italia spoke of how Venezia was acting. "This.... is unacceptable. Does he not realize how much danger he puts his family and his followers in?" That came out as a loud, anger filled screech. Ooooooh she was livid. She paces for a moment, snarling, leaving faint scorchmarks in the floor as she paced. She turns her gaze back to Italia, most likely frightening the poor girl with the fury her face held. "You are SURE that is what is going on?"Rend had actually moved to put himself between his mother and Italia, that's how much his mother's reaction to the news had startled him. He'd never seen her this furious before and he feared she might accidentally lash out at Italia.

Amor was relieved that the hellhound goddess accepted and allowed him to stay if he so wished. When she had mentioned if his father knew, his heart had sank, paining him to have this secret hidden from him. He felt better that she allowed Sear to accompany him though.
When the goddess left with Italia and Rend, he got up from his knees and let out a small sigh of relief. He looked to Sear as he approached and couldn't help but give off a small smile, but quickly hid it when he realized what he was doing. The question got a nod in response. "Indeed. I cannot sit idly by and let nothing be done."
Hearing the screech coming from where Hexynia, Rend and Italia had relocated to, his eyes widened in worry, but had instinctively shuffled closer to Sear. "Will... will I have to get used to that while here?"

If Rend wasn't there, Italia more than likely would have fainted then and there. They say the Cursed are scary, terrifying things. If Italia could put her opinion out there she would say a pissed off Hellhound Goddess is a thousand times more terrifying. The Cursed were actually kinda fun to toy with -- Oh gosh what she she thinking? She clearly had been around her father for too long in his ramblings. She frowned and snapped back to the whole reality of it all when Hexynia questioned her. "..Y-yes" was all she managed to squeak out. It took all of her will and courage not to show any ounce of trembling. She was absolutely scared she was going to be burnt to a crisp where she stood. The only think keeping her from running the other way was Rend's presence. She drew her strength from him.

Sear's ears flattened, a chill being sent up his spine. "...Sometimes but that's not very common..." He didn't know too much about Venezia but what he did know of the family was through Rend and his constant gloating over his girlfriend. He sighed. "It must be bad news..." And he didn't wish to comment on it further.
"...I am glad you are here though. I... honestly wondered on when I would see you again."

Slash froze for a brief moment before he hurried on over to the doors which contained Hexynia, Rend and Italia. He stood outside them and listened every careful. There was no signs Hexynia had done anything harmful so he relaxed and redirected his attention towards Amor and Sear. Just another day.

Rend frowns at his mom, keeping himself in front of Italia as a shield. He certainly didn't like hearing her squeak like that. He felt his tail shoot tiny little harmless sparks in his agitation that his mother would snap at Italia in that manner. Hexynia narrows her eyes further at the affirmative Italia gave her, then blinks and backs up a bit, seeming to finally realize from the way Rend was standing that she was scaring the poor girl and setting him on edge. "I will be back in a bit then...." She says, trying her best to reign in her temper. "You are welcome to stay or go, but if you go, Rend should at least make sure you get home safe." She then steps outside the door and glances at Slash. "I'm leaving to take care of something. You can watch over things while I am gone, yes?" She then poofs in her usual fiery mode of travel, leaving a charred spot on the floor. No wonder everything was black and smelled of brimstone all the time.

"Common or not, I would not wish to be in your brother's or his companion's shoes at the moment." He said, giving one last look to the doors before shaking as much of the fear he could off and looking back to Sear.
"I... I could not stop thinking of you." He blushed darkly at the confession, but still happy it was made. "There were many days and nights that I had wanted to come, but could not bring myself to do it. I had thought that simply wanting to see you would not be a well enough reason that I would be allowed in with."

Italia nodded slowly then let out a huge sigh of relief when Hexynia left. She staggered slowly towards Rend and rested against his back, burrowing her face into his shirt. "Your mother... is the most terrifying being on this planet..."

Slash nodded to his Goddess and stepped back before she disappeared. "Everything will be kept in order, My Goddess."

Sear felt his cheeks darken at Amor's confession. "Ah... I... uhm..." He stumbled to find the right words. His wings fluttered and twitched and he looked away. "I uhm.... Really... like you.. Amor... So I am... happy you wanted to see me. Yeah... I think that's how it's worded." He looked at Amor and smiled a bit. He really wanted to disappear right now. He was not good with his emotions.

Rend certainly wasn't going to argue with Italia on that statement about his mother. He glances over his shoulder at her, then attempts to turn so he could wrap his arms around her again, attempting to rest his chin on her head. "True.... If she can't talk some form of sense into your father's head... No one can, I would imagine." He murmurs. "Let me know when you're ready to return to the Carnival and I will escort you. I'd have done so anyway, whether my mom had mentioned it or not. Although... I think you should meet my father and brother more formally, but that's just me."

Amor's eyes widened, not quite expecting that reply, at least, not from Sear. He smiled warmly when he heard this, tail softly wagging. "I... I like you too Sear." He kept it simple, seeing on how uncomfortable Sear seemed to be right now, he reached out and patted his shoulder comfortingly.
He looked back to the door and finally noticed that the door was now open. Has the goddess left? He sure did not see her do so. "I hope the meeting went well."

Italia sighed deeply and shook her head. "If we're going to meet your brother and Father again, can I have another moment to compose myself? I don't want to look like a nervous wreck." She laughed at bit at that.

Sear gulped a bit but truly was happy Amor felt the same. "I'm.. glad." He was smiling warmly at the other Pockettu. "...I'm not sure, my mother must have left to go see what's going on."

Slash shook his head. "That isn't important..." He steps closer to Amor and Sear. "So tell me more about how you two met."

Rend nods a bit at that, content to let her take her time. "As long as you need. I'm sorry she snapped like that... I... wasn't expecting that at all."

He couldn't help but chuckle just lightly at Sear's uncertainty, but did not tease him. He was actually growing a little more comfortable. He just nodded when it was mentioned that Hexynia had probably left to check on the news she had just received.
When Slash approached the two of them, Amor once again, bowed politely to him. The question caused him to pause, was it alright to mention that they had met on the battlefield of the second war? Well, not quite the battlefield exactly, they were not opponents of each other, but it was not a more welcoming location none the less. Staying silent, he looked to Sear.
