The kingdom of Välstånd used to be an empire, standing tall
with heaping mountains of gold, prosperous fields, happy people,
and above all, peace and unity. It was a land of promise and plenty,
a land where many could find and reap prosperity of their trade. At
least it was, until a band of kobolds known as the Skadlig made their
way into the kingdom, lead by an evil magician named Mörk Siare.
The kingdom fought for seven days and seven nights. While they were
successful in driving back the kobold forces, they were not successful
at vanquishing Mörk Siare. Eventually, the kingdom fell into ruin. The
crops withered away into dust. People fought amongst one another.
Discord was the face of the once harmonious and prosperous Välstånd.
The king, in an attempt to restore his fallen kingdom, climbed the mountain
of the goddess Enhet, and begged for her to help him bring down
Mörk Siare, and restore the virtues of Välstånd.
Seeing that his purpose was for the greater good of all, she gave him seven
weapons imbued with magic and promise, all sealed within a field of magic.
They were a harp, a sword, an axe, a staff, a hammer, an orb, and a book.
The goddess sealed them inside a magical barrier, and told the king that
the worthy wielders of these weapons would come forth, and use their
power to destroy Mörk Siare, and once again bring Välstånd to its once
glorious state.
The king was furious. He did not believe that these weapons would be of
any use to anyone. He took them and went on his way. Foolishly, he sent
many a soldier to find Mörk Siare, but none prevailed. Seven years passed,
and the kingdom was a cold and near desolate place. The king had died;
Mörk Siare had won. However, the gifts the king received by the Goddess
still remained, eager to find their duty and purpose.
It is now that these unlikely heroes will come forth. Mörk Siare will fall
at the hands of Seven. At least, that is how the prophecy has been told.
Come forth heroes, claim your weapons and fight for all of Välstånd, and
the world.
