Old news, but oh well, I'm excited for it. Japanese players (and importers such as myself) will be pleased to know that the 3DS remake of Dragon Quest Monsters 2 will be released on February 6th, 2014. Alongside its release, a special monster edition 3DS LL (XL) package will be available for purchase, which not only includes the special edition 3DS LL, but the game as well. Although I admit to not having played the original DQM2, I have finished and completed the original DQM, and was subsequently hooked.

And I want Dragon Quest VII, so I decided to go grand and get two DQ games at once, AND a handsome 3DS LL.

That's good news I suppose. It's unfortunate since I don't know japanese and I'm not really an importer... Though, I have imported a fighting game once before awhile back.(Since it's not really very difficult to figure out after some time) But oh wells..

Would love it if Square Enix decides to bring some DQ games to the west someday. There's only hope...

Oh I've heard of the Dragon Quest monster series before. I've heard they're pretty cool.

I don't really like dragon quest monsters. To much like pokemon with a different skin.

The idea kinda does seem like the catching monsters. So I guess it may seem like pokemon.. But I'd have to try it out and have a formal opinion on it. Then again, when I look back and from what I played of Dragon Quest VI, it had recruitable monsters to join your party at some point of the game. And DQ VIII does have monsters you could find on the overworld and add to your team at Morrie's fantastic monster arena.(Which I think is a pretty fun idea)

So I dunno... It could be an mixed opinion sorta thing?
