Seeing her smile made him see her enjoy the book as much as he did. She asked how he had come by such a collection of pages, and all he could admit was "my mother gave it to me when i started Hope, I could not say where she got it from though" he said with a smile back to her. As she passed it back he watched it slide back before him, a welcoming feeling, it has become almost a companion more than just a book of paper and writings. "I ahve" he said, remembering when he first used it and how he can master it's magics now "it's nice using a type of magic that is different from everybody elses".

He abrely even noticed any difference in Leah, but then he did ask "May i see yours? It intrigues me".

"Hm" he replied, smiling as he looked down at the table at her compliment towards his mother. He thought of his mother at her coffee table at home, he so hoped she was happy, especially now that the threat of his brother was gone, no longer even a fragment of time nor space. Without looking up, with a fist on his cheek he said "She was a very talented priestess" half in thought, half out loud. That was as much as he knew.

Seeing the book slide before him, his blue eyes looked up at her as her smile was sincere and honest, letting him prowl through her book's pages as she did his. Looking back down the book beckoned him, he felt like he ought to know what it could tell him, but he also didn't want to know all the mysteries that were hidden within. Placing his finger tips on the dry surface of the leathery cover, he admired the deep red colour, almost like charred blood. He then tilted his head to peer through his glasses, the crimson edged pages opened up with a loose tug of his hand. Inside he saw diagrams and writings like his own, except these were all far more sinister. He stared into it's pages and flicked past the evils it examined and tried to explain. "It's... so different" he said, "yet so similar". Micha'el peered up again whilst holding the left side of the book up with his hand. "Where did you find this if you don't mind me asking? The Grand Library of Kuj'anast?" he suggested, knowing that a book as old and deep as this could only have existed, within his knowledge, in the ruined city's library. Remembering where his own book could have come from, he told himself he could be wrong.

A temple? She must have had a high upbringing, he thought, but as she trailed off after mentioning the incident, he closed his lips and swallowed his sorrow for her. "I'm very sorry" he said quietly, he hoped he had guessed right, sounded like a loss of a loved one, and he felt obliged to honour her loss. But as she continued to muse about an opponent, he nodded to agree "Very much so, as if they were competing to do the same thing, but better than each other" he mused back. He then closed the book and pushed it softly along the table back to her elbows.

"There are many scholars, could have come from anyone i presume" he added. She mentioned visiting, and in that moment he felt a spark in his chest, an adventure, yes... it felt like a good thing to do. "I imagine there would" he said, smiling softly, "perhaps..." he began "we could ask for study leave". He paused for a moment in thought, and then suddenly blurted out "we can promise to come back better! If you'd like to, that is... it would be nice to leave the academy for once... loads of people get to leave for study or experience..."
