Nuawahn blinked, surprised.

And then he laughed. It was not a mocking laugh, but it was full of pure merriment. "Ahahaha! Oh no, no! They won't squish you!" he rocked back on his hips, vastly amused, "They're big.. haha! But they're not THAT big." he giggled, "They aren't mammu!" he wiped tears of mirth out of his eyes.

"I bet your mamma knew some nice ones! I did too!" he said, trying to be reassuring through his laughter. He couldn't stop laughing, though. Smushing by Alkidike... Hahaha! It was such a funny idea! Not that he hadn't been smushed as a child into a few Alkidike bosoms, but Nuawahn didnt think that was what Kiyelt meant. "I lived with them for years and years." he said, rocking forward to place a gentle hand on the ice-tribesman's shoulder, "You'll be fine, Kiyelt!" he said, grinning, before he rocked back again, a new wave of laughter.

"Sorry!" he said, "I was... haha! I was just imagining a Mammu with..." he snickered, "With antennae and clothes..." he leaned back, "And a really pissed look on its face..." he managed, before he began to laugh helplessly. Eventually, he managed to calm down, taking a deep breath.

"haha! Sorry, it was just too funny!" he said, his sparkling eyes inviting Kiyelt to share in the postivity.

Kiyelt smiled bemused at his friend. That darn laughter was crazy infectious and he started to giggle too, despite himself. Kiyelt patted the hand, appreciating the reassurance, if it had been one of his ice land friends they would have been in a big dust ball tousle on the ground already but it was impossible to get mad at Nua, simply impossible.

He grinned like a shark and said "Oh a face like this you mean?" And he wrinkled his nose and bared his teeth and made a comical enraged mammu noise that sounded like the poor beast was constipated. He wondered if he could get Nua to fall over in giggles, this was a fun game.

Nuawahn couldn't help himself. Howling with laughter, he fell over, and it only got worse at the noise. That noise. He tried to stop laughing, but could only wriggle feebly as he was wracked with hilarity.
"Oh gods..." he managed, getting back into a seated position, wiping streaming eyes as he giggled. "Now it has that face..." he cracked up again, holding his head in his hands helplessly. "And... And with bright green toenails..." he doubled over again - It was just too funny.

La'amu's ears perked up, alert and she sniffed her notcalf cautiously. Was he okay? She gave Kiyelt a suspicious look. Had the ice man done something to her boy?
But no, her notcalf was just being silly. With an indignant huff, she rested her head again. He shouldn't scare her like that.

Nuawahn managed to calm down enough to breathe, petting his Capramel's head soothingly. "You're a funny guy, Kiyelt!"he said appreciatively grinning, "I'm glad I met you!"

Kiyelt snorted. Bright green toenails indeed. He shot an apologetic look at La'amu for upsetting her, but well it was so tempting!

"I'm glad I met you too, I hope in the future we can find each other again..perhaps with green mammu nailpolish expeditions, it sound like a feat of great bravery, a test for aspiring young warriors." Now THAT would be fun, tracking down a herd and convincing one to get a pedicure. "If my mother found out, I would be trounced mightily."

"hehe!" Nuawahn almost cracked up laughing again. "I'll find some green paint! Maybe when I'm next in the Tale..." he said thoughtfully, biting his lip against further laughter. He happened to look up. "Ooo! Its getting late. It gets cold this time of year, you know!" he said, blushing a little, "But you know that! You're from Zena!" he said, laughing at himself, "You should make camp..."

La'amu knew it was getting later, and she also knew that she was quite comfortable right here, thank you. She closed her eyes and curled her feet tightly under her to conserve heat. She was staying here.

"Er..." Nuawahn looked down at the Capramel adoringly, "Maybe I should too. And I can tell you more things about the Tale and Jahuar! That way you're prepared when you get there!" he said, setting down his things, previously looped around his shoulder and on his back, "And you can tell me about Zena!" he said, as an afterthought. He would be going there, after all, so it would be good to know some things about it. Information trading! Best thing ever!

"Excellent idea Nua," Kiyelt gathered some moss and grass nearby and started making himself a nice nest. He found some wild edibles for himself and he laid a few ostentatiously next to La'amu. Then he gathered some dried twigs for a fire...hopefully.

"Perhaps something you have not heard about Zena are our huge fish, seriously they are great giants, and if you manage to coerce them onto land they are quite delicious, sad that catching them is so dangerous," he said wistfully remembering baked fish.

Eventually he got the fire going and settled down into a relaxed stupor like state.

HOW DO WE END THIIIISSS

La'amu sniffed sleepily at the food, her eyes still closed. She was grateful, though she would likely not deign to show it. Still, as she rested and drifted towards a welcome nap, her ear did swivel casually towards Kiyelt. She was listening to him, though she obviously did not understand what was said. He had her approval.

"Big fish?" said Nuawahn, intrigued, taking out some of his own fire supplies to add to the fire. .

He was still afraid of the dark and didn't want to keep his magic going overnight to keep it at bay - that had made him feel so 'bleh' when he'd woken up.

Besides, fire had lots of things his magic did not. Like, heat. And the lively way that the embers glowed and the flames danced. And the color - Nuawahn loved the color. It was such a lively orange-yellow.

"You'll have to tell me about those!" he said, hopeful. "Because who knows? Maybe I'll see one! How big are they?" were they as big as a mammu? Bigger than a mammu? As big as a mountain? He sat next to La'amu, rubbing his capramel's back as he looked at Kiyelt eagerly, eager for stories and fun campfire times.

Nap time? XD

"Not as big as a Mammu but I did here one horrible old fish story about one Iceling pulling one up onto the ice after four hours of fighting the thing, just for it to fall back into the lake because it was so fat and big that it broke the ice and the poor man had to scramble to shore or risk going for a dip himself. Personally I think he got into some bad mushrooms to come up with a story like that." Kiyelt laughed.

He hummed gently as his eyelids tried to drag themselves over his eyes. It was late and his capramel had the right idea. Kiyelt yawned and wondered how Nua got the energy for all this stuff..on and on.

Kiyelt was sad because he had to leave early in the morning. "Nua, I probably won't be here when you wake up, I have to head out early to go exploring the area before I move on. So stay safe wherever you are going next okay? I would love to meet you again so don't make it to hard for La'amu please."

I think you'd make a better finishing post, unless you think its done? Just let me know when you mark it... smile

"Awww, he went through all that and didn't even get to have fish for dinner..." Nuawahn laughed, almost sympathetically. "Thats a shame!"

He yawned. It WAS getting late. He didn't feel tired - new friends always made him feel energetic and he could go on forever. But his friend was tired, and so he was starting to feel it, in that far-away sense where he knew it, but wished he didn't have to care. He wished he could just share all his energy with everybody... but he couldn't.

He giggled at Kiyelt's statement. "Sure!" he said, though he was sad about Kiyelt leaving, Kiyelt had other adventures to go on and was going in the opposite direction. Nuawahn was certain that they would meet again. Thats how it all worked, life. You met a friend, and then you found them again, and then you had even more fun than before... or at least, that was how Nuawahn's life worked, anyway. "I will!" he petted La'amu's bristly head.

"Good." Kiyelt said before rolling over, his last thought before sleeping was that he would pummel anyone who dared mess with Nua. He was too sweet to mess with. A few seconds later he was asleep.
