Okay, everyone; sorry, but Hikaru and I weren't very clear on how the mistletoe game in the main thread works.

- Hikaru and I are the only people who can say the traps triggered because we were the ones who set them up as described here. There are 30 traps in all.

- Please don't try to set off or find the traps yourself. Again, their locations and switches are only supposed to be known to us Hitachiin Twins.

- Hikaru and I are keeping careful track of how many of the 30 traps are triggered each day, by whom, and whether or not it's a hit or miss. This is one reason we cannot afford to have others trigger traps on our own because it messes up our count. If you're curious at any time about the count, feel free to ask any of the hosts, particularly Hikaru or myself. At the moment, 6 of the 30 have already been triggered. None of them have been from today.

- There will be a max of 3 traps triggered a day. This is to avoid excessive triggering and so that people who don't want to trigger anything can avoid the club until the max is met. (Or simply just avoid the club whenever one of us twins are on.)

- When a trap is triggered, one of us will quote the person who triggered it - be it guest or host - and describe how they triggered it. We will also include an image of the mistletoe in the post to mark it as an official trigger. We will also ask that person to roll one 6-sided die in their next post in order to determine if the mistletoe sprig came between them and someone else.

- The person who may have to be kissed will also be determined by Hikaru and I and stated in the post. Usually it's the person last talked to or interacted with by the person who triggered the trap.

- As a hint for those seeking to trigger traps, use actions. Most people are usually so involved in chatting with one another and using dialogue that actions aren't generally written out. Perhaps setting down a tray on a table or flopping onto a couch or even tap-dancing on the piano may trigger a switch. You never know. wink

- ICly, the mistletoe sprigs do not fall down on top of people's heads or on the ground as loose bundles. They can hit heads as they bounce downward, maybe, but they're suspended from the ceiling on strings and tied with ribbon, so they do hang up above people's heads as is tradition.

- As tradition goes, if you have mistletoe hanging above and between you and another person, you have to kiss them or you'll have bad luck for a year. If you do so, you'll have good luck for a year.

- However, there are no rules regarding what kind of kiss nor that it has to be a kiss on the lips. There also aren't any rules stating you can't kiss a person if the mistletoe doesn't end up coming between you (aka you roll an odd number). Who doesn't like kisses, after all? twisted ...We just can't help you as far as justification goes, nor will we take responsibility for any consequences that ensue as a result of your actions.
