I just started playing it on PS4. I'm liking it so far. The soundtrack so far is pretty good, despite my initial doubts about Go Shiina (Legendia's soundtrack just wasn't the same). Graphically, it's awesome. The combat system is pretty fun so far as well, as it's a lot easier to understand once you're in game. The openish-world also isn't like I thought it would be. It's like Xillia's maps but better. Best of all, it seems like there will be plenty of snark from these characters. Excellent.

I think Edna's trolling powers are pretty strong. She's basically my fav out of the lot besides Zaveid.

I think I'm about to get Edna, actually. This is assuming that she's the one earth seraph that Lailah was talking about.
EDIT: I just did. She really is basically Toph. It's brilliant.

Wait 'til you get to the the Four Trial's, the music is so epic in each dungeon. (Earth One is my fave)

I think that's where I'm going next in the game, I like Melkido the best so far [also I can't upgrade my equipment because the skills on mine make about 3 tiers better lol] Edit: Mikleo* even, also Dezel now he's less "one-note".

ShadeKyubi [also I can't upgrade my equipment because the skills on mine make about 3 tiers better lol] I know that feeling. I'm trying as hard as I can to maintain at least one row-of-4 (not 5 or more!) skill, as those give you +1 to a stat when you level up! I'm bulking Rose's defenses up. I do wish that you could unlock innate skills for the characters, though. That would help.

Protip: Do as much of the Turtlez sidequest as you can. It's so worth it.

I still have yet to beat this game, and I got / started playing it the day it came out. Everything, literally everything, about this game is off-putting to me. I play it for a couple of hours and I finish feeling disgusted every time. This is the first Tales game that's ever conjured these feelings in me. Normally I beat Tales games 3 - 4 times before I finally lose interest, but not Zestiria. If I finish this game at all it'll be a Christmas miracle.
