[As a child living so close to the unfinished wall he had seen countless Titans in the distance. His father was a nameless nobody who did his job as a scout at the wall defenses watching to see if Titans were to approach. Zane had heard the stories about how terrifying Titans were and what they did to humans. One day Zane decided to pay his father a visit at the unfinished wall. Little did he know that day would kill his innocence for the rest of his life
As Zane made his way to his dad he brought his sister as well as some sweet bread for his dad. His dad took his eyes off duty for a small time relying on his the others who were on watch. While his dad waved hello to Zane and his sister several Titans came charging at the Wall. One of the Titans managed to grab his father and drag him from the unfinished section of the wall. However because of the small group that had charged the wall it caused some of the loose stones that had yet to be permanently placed off landing on the chest of his sister.
Zane could hear his father's screams while he was being eaten and he saw that his sister was barely alive under the stone. He knew that if the stone moved it would kill her. Zane was forced to make the decision to kill his sister to put her out of her misery. Fast-forward several years growing up parent-less and becoming the outcast of where he lived. He decided to join the fight against the Titans.]
