Long story short, I had CS6 and it no longer worked for me after cleaning out my computer. I guess that's kharma for the way I obtained it.

Now I'm upset. I don't find much joy in anything anymore expect making graphics and now I don't have that. emotion_8c Is CS2 any good? I know it's free.

cs2 is free?? I've got cs4 and it's great. To be honest only minor things change through the generations. You probably won't find much difference between cs6 and cs2 other than the overall template of the application. I own both photoshop cs and cs4. The only difference is lines between the tool bar.

Yeah, I got it from here. I'm trying to get used to it, I'm too poor right now to buy any other version. emotion_8c As long as I can still make my graphics, I'm good. x3

I had Photoshop on my computer. But then it went dumbtarded on me and then I reformatted my computer. Was gonna put photoshop back on, I think it was CS3.. But then the fire ate my disk...

But my sister gave me one of her husband's laptops... and now I have CS6

Any version above 7 is good.
My Graphic Design teacher told us that if we have home computers that can't handle the newer versions of graphics programs it's always better to use an older version.
Really at least for the graphic Adobe programs there aren't many things added, usually just a new tool, minor improvement or UI redesign.
(BTW This doesn't apply to Adobe InDesign since non-CS6 versions don't allow you to use files from old versions, eg: CS4 ID file to CS5)
