Vox_Draconis [ I see. smile I think initiations like that are the best sort, initiated directly into a path by those you are working with. I agree. I didn't realize it exactly until recently. When initiation, ordeals, and the truths of those experiences was discussed in a Traditional witchcraft group on Facebook I belong to I began to remember in more detail exactly what happened with each of the beings I visited and the entirety of that visit. Things made more sense. It also made more sense as to why the block I set up has been broken down by them. It has often been said that a real imitation only occurs when the spirits cause the rebirth to happen. Rituals can aid in directing the experience through actions and mindset, but if the Gods or the spirits don't themselves cause a rebirth and recreation to occur the initation is in name only. I guess now that I realize these things I can call myself really a Dragonic witch. I also have a feeling that the development of Pentalism and my dragonic craft have a lot in common.

Bloody Rosen Knight Yes, I'm trying to aqcuire the stuff, and also get the basics down first before I try If you don't have dragonsblood you can always give a bit of your spirit energy to the Dragons in meditation. Do you have a candle or even a place for meditation? Dragonsblood is one of the best offerings yes, but you can offer your self and your spirit energy as well. You can basically raise your emotional and spiritual energy and direct it as an offering to the Dragons and they will get it. The most important thing I can say is basically just send the energy with all your heart and intent. If the Dragons want to work with you, you'll sense their presence in some manner when you give them that energy. I actually think giving them some of your personal emotional and spiritual energy as an offering while trying to meet them would be a good idea. Even if you don't get a reaction right away, the symbolic act of the sacrifice of your energy and spirit will at least get their attention. I can't say for sure they will teach you Dragonic magic and witchcraft or energy work. I can't say if they will decide to work with you or not. I can simply say that the more honest and open with them you are, the more likely they are to at least offer you some insight. Being chosen to practice Dragonic Magic is rare.

And also, I got a sudden, random inspiration to make an outfit XP weird as it is I'm going for it, it might have been a suggestion from something

Bloody Rosen Knight would it be alright to offer gems and metals, some herbs and other stuff with the energy? Very much so. Dragons love gems and crystals. When you think of a Dragon's cave they are typically full of hoarded gems and stones. Thats an excellent offering. Bloody Rosen Knight And also, I got a sudden, random inspiration to make an outfit XP weird as it is I'm going for it, it might have been a suggestion from something Maybe. You never know.

Well that's good, I'll offer some good things too, like some of my emerald, my opal, and the gold I'm finiding in this bag of paydirt. It's not much gold, just flakes so far, but it's something at least. I'm sure they'll understand that I'm putting thought behind it as well

Aye that is indeed true, unless you've come out of the ordeal changed it's not really an initiation per say. Pentalism?

Vox_Draconis Aye that is indeed true, unless you've come out of the ordeal changed it's not really an initiation per say. Its not any change though. You are in a metaphorical and spiritual way killed and reborn in a real initition. That is the mystery of initiation-the connection of the life and death. To live we must kill other forms of life. Many of those forms of life kill either other animals or they kill plant life or other life of some sort. To live is to have to kill a life of some sort (and yes I am putting plants and insects on this list). When we die we become fodder for growth of plant life which feeds various forms of life. That's the name I have given my personal practice which I hope to teach others and initiate others into at some point in my life.

Infact if you have gold jewlerey and dedicate it to them you could always wear it in honor of them.

I know one thing I have found is that Dragons seem to like intimate energy. I've found that the energy raised in sexual interactions (not necessarily intercourse itself but the other activities) grabs their attention. Granted I've also found that Dragonsblood when burned has an aphrodisiac type effect.

I think it does depend on the dragon and on the practioner, as I haven't found that in my workings personally and I don't think it will be an avenue to explore in the future as a lot of crap from my past has reared it's ugly head making intimacy difficult at the best of times. I've not found that with dragonsblood, however sandalwood, jasmine and ylang-ylang have a similar effect on me I guess it's just the way I'm wired.

Vox_Draconis I think it does depend on the dragon and on the practioner, as I haven't found that in my workings I have a lot of healing to do that relates to sexual issues and most of my Dragon work has been healing in nature. Granted my dragon guide and companion is a Dragon God of healing...so that may be a part of it. Vox_Draconis I personally and I don't think it will be an avenue to explore in the future as a lot of crap from my past has reared it's ugly head making intimacy difficult at the best of times. I'm sorry to hear that. I hope that everything works out for you. I know how difficult things like that can be for completely different reasons. My thoughts are with you. I'd like to send some healing and soothing energy your way if you'd like or accept it. Light energy work and direction is one of the foundation exercises in the Temple tradition. Plus I understand how painful and frustrating it can be sexually and emotionally when past issues come up that inhibit sex or intamacy. Vox_Draconis I've not found that with dragonsblood, however sandalwood, jasmine and ylang-ylang have a similar effect on me I guess it's just the way I'm wired. I've seen it listed as a lust and love herb as well as protective and generally power herb. If you look at the herbs listed under lust and love in Cunninghams Encyclopedia of magical herbs you'll find Dragonsblood and cinnamon. I've found that the two actually make a good pairing. I think that Dragonsblood is essentially an all purpose herb as one of the traits I have found is simply "power" or I've seen something like "add this herb to give any spell extra potency". Which would make sense considering that there are Dragons associated with nearly everything, and it has had that effect in the past in my magic.
