History: Lylah Denalii Jace was born to the Archangel Gabriel and a human father. Lylah was left in the care of her father at the age of three and had/has very little memories of her mother, the most clear one being her mother standing in front of her and letting her know that Lylah couldn't live with her and had to live with her father. Lylah gets choked up over recalling that memory and doesn't do so unless she's feeling down. Only Gabriel knows the real reason why she left Lylah with her father, but Lylah always believed what she told herself, that her mother had to do her job (as an Archangel). Lylah does remember, though, that her mother was a very gentle being with a soft voice and beautiful features. Her father, on the other hand, would yell at her for little things such as indecisiveness and not speaking up. He was in the Army and had been for three decades. Being a strict general in the Army, he wasn't any different on Lylah than he was his men. To most people, he would come off as a hard and brutal man, but he did show compassion and only Lylah and her mother knew that.

Lylah was home-schooled by her father up until the age of fifteen. When fifteen, Lylah's father decided to send her to Atlantis Academy, where she remains today. At the Academy, she didn't have to worry about her father being there and being so strict on her. It gave her more freedom and she felt normal among the beings that were different than the humans.

Weapons and/or Powers:
Light Manipulation - Lylah uses it for invisibility and holographic projection. She can only use it while she is standing still, and only while she is in, or has access to, sunlight. She can't use this power with moonlight - to her, it's too weak to use. Lylah can turn completely invisible at noon, but at any other time she's not completely see-through. Holographic projections aren't very detailed and only last thirty to forty-five minutes, at most.
Flying - Since Lylah is part-angel, she has wings that she can use to fly. On the other hand, she only fly for two hours straight, three hours if stops every now and then, before she gets tired.
Ancestral Evocation - Lylah can use this to hear her mother's thoughts. She's only used it once, and went completely unconscious from it for days.

Personality: Lylah is a very serious person, not laughing or joking at all. People assume that she was born without a sense of humor, she just let's people think that. From time to time, she has sarcastic comments to make, but she doesn't ever say them. Lylah stays quiet and doesn't say anything because she doesn't have anything to say. If she had something important to say, she'd say it. Lylah goes around the school without taking any notice from the people around her, so when she says something to somebody, it startles them because they were unaware that she was there. In a way, her father rubbed off on her, with being serious and all, but in her nature of being an angel, she does what she calls "good deeds" like community work and whatnot.

Character Flaws:
Blunt - Lylah is very straight-forward with things. She won't beat around the bush or try to "sugar-coat" it.
Proud - Lylah likes doing things herself and will not accept anyone's help.
Fickle - Lylah tends to like one thing one minute and then hate it the next, and when asked about her likes/dislikes, she confuses people because her likes/dislikes change a lot.

Habits:
-Plucking feathers out of her wings when she's nervous. There have been times when she's done that to the point that she's gotten "bald" spots on her wings.
-She organizes her closet by color to the point that it looks like a box of crayons. (She has clothes of every color).
Quirks:
-When in a crowded room, she makes no contact with anyone, unless they talk to her first.
-She bites her nails when she is lost in thought.
Fears:
-Coming across someone who uses Darkness Manipulation.
-All her life, Lylah has always had a fear of thunderstorms.

-To, happily, live with her parents without them being separated.
-If she can't live with her parents with them together, she wishes to find someone she can be with and to have a family.

Describe your character's voice: Very soft, like a whisper. When speaking louder, she carries an even tone of voice, yet very melodic and very angelic. It almost sounds like she's singing, which is why she tries to carry and even tone of voice. When upset/angry, her voice turns into a shriek.
Describe your character's walk: She walks with her head held high. She walks lightly and holds herself to the point that if a book was to be placed on her head, it wouldn't fall.
Describe your character's face: Her face is somewhat round. Her hair is a grey/white color and she keeps it long. Her eyes are a golden, topaz-y color.
Describe your character's body: Lean muscle, slender. She's about average height for a female at 5'6".
Describe your character's style: Lylah loves dresses, especially ones that let her wings show or have room. If she's not in a dress, she's wearing loose, baggy clothes like oversized shirts.
Describe your character's posture: When sitting, she sits up straight, with her back never touching the back of the seat, part of that being because she doesn't like the feeling of leaning back on her wings. She normally sits with both feet on the floor and some times, she hunches forward.
Describe any physical characteristics you feel necessary: When she uses one of her "powers," her eyes turn a glowing blue color.

"My seriousness in important situations."

"I am maybe too serious. I never joke around or anything."

"For confrontation, as long as people aren't all up in my face, I'm fine with it. I'm indifferent to kindness, but of course I do say 'thank you' when needed."

"If they don't try to be funny. Funniness has to come natural to them for them to be funny in my eyes."

"I haven't had the time to find out."
If you could change one thing about yourself - physical, mental, or otherwise - what would you change?
"I would change my limitations on my powers, so then maybe I could talk to my mother without making myself go unconscious."

"The best relationship I've has is with my father, seeing as though it's the only real relationship I've had. I didn't know my mother long enough to have one."
