Um...my first topic, I don't know if I'm doing it right, sorry if i cause trouble:

the question is, mostly:

What kind of RP you like to do and why?

What genre? What kind of characters you use? How long are your post? What's you're style while being in-character?

You're just fine, Kat. ^^

I mostly like to do One on Ones, because they're easier for me to keep track of, and I won't bring a group to a screeching halt by being slow to reply.

For genres, my main favorites are fantasy and adventure. I like all my roleplays to have an element of fantasy (in some form) to them actually.

As for characters...I like to think I have a whole range that I use. My biggest weakest is comedic characters. I'm not very good at wit and humor so all my characters sort of fail in that aspect. XD

My posts range anywhere from 500 words to 1000+.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by 'style' though...? Like, the way I write my posts...?

        Hmm.

I mostly stick to small group roleplays, because I have a hard time keeping up with larger groups and I've never been able to maintain a thriving 1x1.

As far as genre, I'm up for most things, but fantasy based ones are my favorites. I think that reality is kind of boring, and I love being able to construct worlds with mechanics and aspects different from ours.

Admittedly I tend to use variations of the same two characters most of the time. Usually on the serious side, but it depends on the roleplay on how talkative they'll be? I dunno. I treat roleplay characters differently than I do novel characters.

My post length really just depends on the rp, how much I have to say, and how much everyone else is saying. On average, I can post anywhere from 500-1500+ words?

I pretty much exclusively write in 3rd person. 1st person is my mortal enemy. But my writing style is pretty set by this point, so I think that the voice I use is generally mine, and not necessarily the character's? It just depends, I guess.

Wow, this is actually a great topic. smile And don't worry, it's hard to cause trouble here.

I like onexones , small groups and medium groups. So...everything. I have weaknesses in all. 1x1s I might disappear so patience is good to have. I also might have lack of creativity. Smalls are good to keep track of but I might forget. Anything bigger I might get overwhelmed and vanish lol. But with good people and plot I'll stick around and/or come back always. Why? I like variety. Sometimes I want something casual sometimes I need a lot of stimulation. I think my favorites would be 1x1 with multiple characters and small group.

I quite enjoy most types of rps. I really like fantasy types or modern day with a hint of fantasy/magic. I also like doing rps from different shows/books, but only if it's OCs and just based in that world. Like I enjoy the Harry Potter type world but wouldn't rp as Ron.

I try to use a variety of characters. But I really like comedic, bubbly, or smartass characters. I'm better at those than mean or evil characters, and I get bored with serious characters.

My length depends on the rp and if I'm lazy or not. I've never counted how many words. But I usually always have a minimum of two paragraphs per post on a bad day. I can get up to ten max, I think.

Style? Well I write in third person mostly, sometimes first for profiles. I'll either write in my own voice or the character's; it depends on the character and what's going on.
What about you?

Don't worry, you're doing just fine and the topic is excellent~
The only thing you may want to think about is renaming the thread to relate more to the questions you're asking instead of leaving it simply as an inquiry, which I thought at first might be asking some serious question about how things were run in the guild. ninja

Anyways, I like all kinds of rps, I think that the big ones and the little ones each have their own pros and cons: the big ones are great for complex stories, and there're so many people that new ideas are easy to come by, which makes things more dynamic, but little ones tend to make people really think about their replies and where they want things to go in the rp, since with so few people, you really have to come up with the ideas yourself. Both are fun~

As for genres... hm... I dunno, I tend to go for all sorts, but at the same time, I'm kind of picky. I don't have a specific genre that I have to play: I can write anything: mystery, adventure, scifi, historical fiction, etc; though I admit that most of my rps tend to be more fantasy. I tend to be more picky about the storyline, it has to have a storyline that catches me and draws me into the world so that I can imagine a character in that world.
My characters tend to be girls, though I've been thinking I should really branch out and try some different character types. But they're usually little bits of me magnified into different realities. >.>
@.@ so many questions. As you can see, my posts can get pretty long, and somewhat long-winded since I tend to write how I think... Which is to say: in circles. blaugh

I'm glad this is helpful

I like mostly 1x1 RPs, I don't like doing RPs with existing chars (like the Ron example up there). I'm kinda bad at making long post, I usually post to the point because I feel I may annoy the others.

My characters are shy or quiet usually, most of their deep comes from the narration and their mind. I do them in first person because that way is easier for me to portray them.

I like almost every kind of roleplay but my favorite is urban fantasy.
