Lo and behold, there it was. Peyton held her wrist up for him, the chain almost out of slack as she was in the center of the bed now. With his mention of Everetts hangover, a small grin crept onto her face. She thought about making a racket just to make his head pound, but felt like it would just earn her another slap to the face. She'll just have to be satisfied with his constant pain for the next couple hours.
Once her arm was free, she crawled off the bed without a word, bare feet hitting the floor as she walked over to the bathroom. She stood in the doorway, still grinning at the sight of the cranky toddler. He looked amazing, if she were being honest with herself, but she couldn't take him seriously knowing how irritable and tired he was. Peyton shrugged at his comment, patiently waiting for him to get out of the room. It occurred to her that he implied that they would be sharing a bed at their house, but she didn't argue just yet. Starting an argument with a drowsy, hungover, jerk of a teen was a battle she was not willing to fight.

He took in a deep breath, then blew it out in a rough sigh as he leaned back from the mirror. He rubbed his face blearily, stretching one eyelid with a fingertip, and rolled his eyes over to her with a dry look, catching sight of her expression and assuming she was enjoying the sight of her handiwork.
"Keep smiling," he drawled coldly, voice a little harder than usual, as he headed towards the door. "If you think it's that funny I'll clock you one to match."
He was pulling the damp towel off his neck, only to drop it unceremoniously over her head as he passed her, ruffling her hair firmly over it.
The twins weren't comfortable enough with her wandering around to actually try to go back to sleep, much as they would have liked to, but at least one of them still refused to commit to anything else, either. He wandered out to the back of the wrap around porch, where the sun was rising brilliantly on the horizon, the ocean glistening with its gold and the cloudless sky stained with vivid color, still a dark, deep blue above their heads. The other was listlessly poking about the living room, unwillingly collecting all their shopping bags to pack them up.

Everett misinterpreted her smile, but she wasn't about to correct him. It wasn't like the truth would have made him any happier. Peyton only got to roll her eyes in response before she was suddenly blinded by the soft fabric. She held her hands close in front of herself instinctively, soon ripping the towel off of her head and slamming it on the floor. Her hair was already tousled from sleep, but now it was thoroughly messy. Peyton slammed the door behind him once he was safely out of the room, locking it.
After washing her hands, the girl looked in the mirror, putting tufts of hair back into place. She wondered if it would be worth it to take a shower now and put on the dress from yesterday, avoiding whatever outfit they will pick out for her this morning. The problem with that was reusing underwear. It took her a few moments of serious mental wrestling before deciding against it, finally emerging from the bathroom.
She decided to wander into the living room, hoping to take a look into the shopping bags, but to her discovery, they were already gone. For half-awake bozos, they sure were quick.

One of the twins was just finishing up consolidating her things into a few suitcases when she entered, sitting on the floor. The other was nowhere to be seen.
"I left some clothes out," he drawled, nodding back towards the couch without looking up at her, where an outfit had been draped over the back, consisting of a high-waisted, loosely pleated black velvet skirt, black tights and black suede heels, and a cashmere red sweater. A set of matching lingerie was included, of course.
"Go ahead and get changed."
With one bathroom between the three of them, their early rise turned out to have been fortuitous. By the time everyone had taken their sweet time showering and changing, it was nearly time to leave. A taxi was waiting outside, and the twins looked just as much like off-the-job models as they were, slovenly, gorgeously draped in casual, comfortable travel-wear, hair immaculately tousled and sporting matching dark sunglasses to block out the abrasive morning light. They all piled into the backseat, Peyton in the middle, and Dorien, as the less hungover of the two, handled dealing with the driver. Everett was moodily silent, nursing a headache and nausea, and Dorien stared vacantly out the window the whole way there.
After arriving at the airport, they checked their considerable baggage, then headed through security, where despite their teasing the night before they had no issues getting through. Coffee was taciturnly agreed upon as the next step, as they wandered down their concourse, brightly lit by massive skylights on the soaring ceilings, and they stopped at a café planted in the middle of a food court to acquire breakfast. The twins each ordered bagels and coffee, with Dorien just barely remembering to cue Peyton to pick something. The two were clearly not morning people, too groggy even to properly harass her this early. It was a wonder they hadn't forgotten her at the bungalow.

Much to Peyton's relief, the outfit set aside for her to wear was appropriate for walking around in public. Sure, it wasn't something she would pick out for herself, but it was nice. The sweater definitely looked comfortable. She grabbed the clothes and took the opportunity to be the first one to shower, fashioning her damp hair into a messy bun once she was finished.
There was still time before they had to leave, so Peyton helped herself to an apple from the basket still left on the counter. Everything else had turned unappetizing after being left out all night. It was strangely quiet and still, contrasting clearly to the first time she stepped foot in the bungalow. The slow pace of the morning was only going to last so long, so Peyton savored the moment.
The silence wasn't as appreciated while stuffed between the two brothers, who were still recovering from the mornings rude awakening. Peyton didn't know where to look, so she fiddled with the soft fabric of her sweater a bit awkwardly during the drive.
The airport was overwhelming. Peyton had no idea what to make of the systems in place to get everyone moving along, but she didn't have to know that, the twins knew what they were doing. Of course, she also had no clue just how groggy they were in the morning. She followed them to the food court, the scents of baked goods hitting her nose before she could see where it was coming from. The girl asked for a raspberry danish and a hot tea, things she rarely got to treat herself to. Peyton was wide awake at this point, but was perfectly fine with their silence. If only they were like this all the time.
