Enki smiled at how happy she just seemed to become with his small gift. He looked down to the basket she was holding and then back to her. "Right, I promised you herbs. We should get a move on if I am going to help you fill this before dark." He smiled to her again. "And I will make sure this is full...Just don't want to see you out after dark lazy Zecora."

[lazy Zecora? *snickers*]
"I would be most grateful for your help with this Enki." Zecora responded, a new spring in her step as she moved forward. A full basket would be a wonderful start to replenishing her stores and having some remedies ready for the faun. "There is nothing to fear in the dark" Zecora responded. She was used to wandering in dark forests alone, though she had been more familiar with the last dark forest she had wandered through. "But perhaps it is better to stop at night, this place is still so new to me."

"You are right, it's not the dark that you are to fear, it's what lurks in the dark that is scary." He wasn't too sure what types of local fauna there were in this area, frankly he didn't want to find out either. "It's why I spend a lot of time in the tree, don't want to get bit in the middle of the night. Or worst, my wings eaten." He shuttered at the thought. He liked his wings, big and leafy. They made him, him after all. What would he be without them?

It was a morbid thought, but it didn't surprise Zecora that there would be creatures that would want to eat his wings, there was plenty that ate vegetation, and they might not notice if they took a bite out of his wings, mistaking it for a bush or tree frond. "Dat would be troublesome, one does not usually have to worry about a rabbit devouring dem..." Zecora generally tried not to worry about the creatures, she seemed to do fine, despite not having the luxury of tree-climbing.

"One of the many problems you face with lettuce wings. Those beady eyes always have that look of hunger in them." He laughed and shook his head. Maybe he had been in the forset for too long. Oh well. What could he do about it.
He smiled to her before pointing off into the distance. "There should be some herbs your looking for around there, if I remember correctly from my exploration. If not well..Adventures are always fun aren't they?" He grinned to her. Could be a fun afternoon.

Zecora nodded her head, she could understand the mistake, she had made it herself after all. "Ah yes, this has been most adventurous, starting from scratch like dis." Some plants were the same here as they were back home, but she didn't know where to find them here. Some plants were completely different and it was a whole new set of things to learn to continue doing what she was good at. Zecora began walking in the direction he had pointed. "Thank you Enki, it has been good to meet you." She didn't really expect him to follow her, and would be surprised if he did.

Enki couldn't help but chuckle as she was already saying good bye. "Hey now, no trying to ditch me. Don't you need to me to point out which plants are which?" He stayed near her. "Besides, don't you wish for me to walk you home?" It wasn't like he had anywhere else to be anyways.

Zecora smiled apologetically. She had not been certain if the stranger was actually going to show her the plants or just point her in the right direction. Though at the mention of walking her home Zecora looked sideways. From what she had gathered since moving to this new home, the tree was not exactly open to strangers, even she had felt slightly unwelcome there for a time: she was a stranger. Looking at Enki... well he was probably a stranger to them as well. A walk home would probably not be best. "It is a long trek home, I would not expect that of you."

Enki frowned slightly before shrugging. "Comprise, to the edge of the forest?" He clearly wasn't going to give up." I have no where to go and nothing to do but think after all. Least I can do is that." He smiled to her again and offered his hand to her.(We can end this too)

"Agreed" Zecora smiled at his offer of compromise and determination. The two of them walked in the direction that Enki had originally pointed her in. From there he showed her several varieties of herbs and they did just as he promised: filled the basket. They had a good time getting to know each other as well along the way.
As the two got closer to the edge of the forest near Laisidhiel, Zecora couldn't help but feel some regret that the sun had begun to set on them so soon. "It has been most wonderful getting to know you Enki, I am de most grateful for your help as well." Zecora said in closing as she waved goodbye to her new friend and headed towards the tree.
