I’m a princess cut from marble, smoother than a storm.
And the scars that mark my body, they’re silver and gold,
My blood is a flood of emeralds, precious stones,
It keeps my veins hot, the fire's found a home in me.
I move through town, I’m quiet like a fight,
And my necklace is of rope, I tie it and untie.

((yayyyyyyy Zien is back!!!))

The demons were an organised chaos, not acting by command but acting on bare instinct, like animals stalking their prey. As some would throw themselves at him Karuso would step forwards and send forwards a Darcane orb that bursts on impact, throwing the foe aside. But when more came at him he swung his giant two handed blade with but one hand as though it was still a rapier. With a twirl of his hand one demon was beheaded, whilst another knocked dead with the side of the sword. Another came at him, and he thrust the blade through it's body like a skewer. Zien then asked if Karuso was having enough fun yet, and as his flames died out from between them he looked over too, but they were both surprised by the young girls' presence, shocking both of them. She held guns and at first he was scared she would aim at them, but instead the girl shot a demon between them and in a grotesque way it flopped to the ground in a bloody mess. Zien commented, and Karuso was quickly taken back to the battle whilst asking himself "sweeties?", he barely even yelled when executing attacks, he had mastered the art of his blade so well that he barely had to put much thought into his attacks.

But Karuso's chest suddenly felt tight, his heart skipped a beat when he heard Zien call for help and as he turned, finishing off a demon with his sword fluently, he found the culprit. The elemental was struggling but not fatally wounded, Karuso yelled "STAY STILL!" and flicked his wrist, the blade turned to the side so only the edge of the blade could be seen, pencil thin. And he brought his blade back and thrust it forwards. But instead of a giant wide sword, it was now a rapier that he used to pierce straight through the demon's brain, and the blade cleaning erupted from the demon's face, showing Zien that the demon had to be dead. Yanking the blade free he was quick to run round to Zien's front and ask if he was okay, he also looked over teh wound very quickly and said "We need to clean it up before it infects.." in a hurry, getting distracted as a few more demons remained. But the sound of bullets exploded from that girl again, she had a grin on her face like she enjoyed killing. For a short and young girl, she had very good aim, each bullet hitting each demon once and killing them just as quickly, leaving their veins green on the surface of their skin.

"Thats how you kill a demon, Euphemia" Cardy said, lookign down to the girl as she blew the smoke from her gun's barrels. She then looked at Zien and Karuso briefly with a strange glare of interest before looking around and quickly saying "Now - where is the beasty that's in charge?"

Karuso cocked a brow whilst keeping one hand on Zien's unharmed shoulder, he looked over at the two girls, who looked too young to be fighting, yet he was surprised each day with this world - finding that people who shouldn't be fighting can fight almost as well as he can... He didn't know what to say yet, but eventually he said "... Thank you for your aide..." to which Cardy looked up at him. She tilted her head and said "looked like you needed it" before suddenly changing the focus slightly and adding "but those demon's aren't what i want to kill..."

Euphemia

The refine blonde haired male with a scar across his nose, accurately hit his opponents while twirling about. At one suspenseful moment, a creature came right for him but when he stomped his foot, the earth shifted knocking the creature away. Afterwards, flames shot out of his hands burning several monsters' flesh done to the bone. He suddenly became distracted when Cardy interfered and behind him slithered up a lengthy demon that got ready to bury its sharp teeth into the male's shoulder. Euphemia stood up in distressed and yelled out, "NO DON'T" but her petite voice wasn't enough to break through the commotion. He cried in agony and called out for her partner to aide him.

Meanwhile, the white long haired one, Karuso, conjured an orb of magic that disbursed into many sections of light when it hit a monster. Quickly, he switched to close range combat and began swing a large sword around. It hacked through demons as if they were paper and one he skewered right through its abdomen. Crimson dripped from the glistening metal as he continued to slaughter some more demons until Zien cried for him. Rushing over, he turned the blade and impaled the demon waiting for its writhing body to go limp and release Zien. The protruding blade was yanked out along with a stream of blood and he glanced over the wound carefully. The result was fatal, but it needed to be treated soon. However, more demons threatened the couple but Cardy managed to take them out with one bullet for each one. Once they were dead, she acknowledged Euphemia and blew the drifting smoke away from the recent used barrels.

As she asked for the demon in command, Euphemia ran up to her and hugged her tightly out of concern. She loved Cardy because she was like a mother to her and she was scared that the demons could have hurt her. Karuso gave her his gratitude, but she wasn't satisfied because she hadn't hunted down the true prize. Looking up, the albino stared at Zien concernedly and wondered if it was alright to venture over to him. There wasn't much she could do, yet she felt the needed to confront him.

Hearing the call to stay still the young elemental did so; it wasn't easy though. Zien wanted to make a smart-a** comment about how it wasn't easy with a thousand razor sharp teeth cutting deep into his shoulder, but the demon biting down harder made him cry out again instead. Whatever Karu did though, which was probably slay the damn thing, the grip on his shoulder loosened as the jaw became slack. With that done, Zien managed to push the jaws open nearly yack at the stench of its breath before shoving it aside and causing it to burst into flames on the dirt ground.

"Damn nasty..." he hissed out as Karu knelt before him examining the wound. It bled freely, the cuts deep but small however there were main all around his shoulder, collarbone and around back to his shoulder blade. The demon had gotten dangerously close to his neck and artery, with how freely his life blood flowed, Zien wondered if he had nicked an artery somewhere. Karu's words about cleaning it made him give a snort of ill-humor. "If its not infected already, that damn things breath was yack worthy."

Before he could stop himself and failing to remember the demons or gun toting woman firing her weapons off, Zien was leaning against Karu's chest for comfort as well as support. Feeling dizzy and in pain, he was such a wimp but couldn't help it. His vampire friend smelled of home and comfort; safety embodied if there ever was one. Just being near him numbed some of the pain and Zien knew Karu would take care of him...heck he'd worry over him like some nurse maid when they got home; it made him smirk as Zien always found it kind of adorable.

Hearing Karu speak though, thanking the woman for aid and how she was looking for something else. Then another girl appeared younger looking, albino almost and clearly not the fighting time...as far as he could tell. The young one wrapping her arms around the gun bearing woman with familiarity before looking to him, Zien just gave a strained smirk hoping to convey he was fine.

"There's more...damn Karu looks like you're work is cut out for you..." he breathed out leaning his head back against his vampire companions shoulder; now sitting with his back against Karu's chest.

"More?" Karuso asked after Zien, looking to the two girls with a confused and almost worried expression. He wanted to get Zien to safety, this wound would need time and healing - they had to go back home... so soon... demons were foul work, he wanted nothing more than to- he stopped thinking. He felt something strange come over him when Zien's head leaned back agaisnt his shoulder. It wasn't until now that the vampire had realised how close Zien was, and his warm body spread heat like a fire to him, he was cold blooded after all. Karuso looked down at him for the briefest moment before steeling up and looking away. What is this feeling? he asked himself, his chest it felt... funny... like he couldn't breath but like he craved that feeling like he once craved blood. He hasn't felt this way in such a long time he didn't know what it was he- He stared at the trees with wide eyes only for a second as the realisation, or probably assumption crossed his mind and sent his mind into spirals.

Cardy's gun suddenly fired, and made Karuso jump and look around for monsters, but Cardy shouted "woops!", placing her guns behind her back as they crossed over one another like an 'X' . With a grin on her face explaining "sometimes I just pull the trigger!" she apologised. This whole accident happened as soon as Euphemia had hugged Cardy tightly, she was keen on that whole 'touchy feelyness' of any kind. Of family relations.. of friends... of lovers. It just all made her cringe it made her want to roll her eyes! She was too young for all this jazz there were greater things to worry about! "Oh" Cardy then said, "yeah, there's supposed to be another one, fatter, purple eyes, probably salivating."

Karuso stopped his scowling at the girl and looked back to Zien's close face, he was reminded of what he felt just minutes before and could've sworn he stopped breathing for a moment as he quickly "Can you walk?" to Zien, moments later saying "you look more than prepared to slay a demon... We'll leave it in your hands...". To which Cardy looked at them both and said "you just need to understand them to kill 'em! Stay safe hey? Don't wanna die just yet hm?" Cardy then looked to Euphemia, suggesting she ought not to die either, which meant being careful or even learning from Cardy.

Euphemia

Zien's sight smirk and tilt of the head signaled to Euphemia that he should be alright. Karuso was confused by the term more and looked around paranoid. Euphemia watched intently as Zien leaned against his trusting partner and a reddish color developed on his cheeks. The two were so close and it made the girl happy inside like went she showed her affection to Cardy even though she rejected it. After a few minutes of silence, Cardy let off a round of bullets that sent her and Karuso jumping back. The blonde sarcastically apologized and placed her pistols behind her back and saying her thirst for action gets the best of her. Euphemia was a little disappointed that Cardy didn't return the hug, but she had gotten use to her not so snugly personality. Anyway, she thoroughly described what the main demon would look like from reading the reports on the victims who catch a glimpse of it. Euphemia shivered from the grotesque description and heard the low grumble coming from Karuso's throat before he stopped.

He turned his attention back to Zien and asked if he could walk so they could make their exit. The vampire deemed Cardy more than capable of handling this affair and she obliged. With confident eyes, she ensured that no one was dying today. Before they could set off, Euphemia remembered something was missing and said, "Basket!" the albino ran off to the tree that Cardy had set it by. Through the bushes and slippery terrain, she came to the clearing and found the basket where she expected it to be. As she retrieved it, she felt the ground rumble and glanced to her side. The breathing and stomping of a massive creature could be heard as it destroyed the forest coming towards her. The child became paralyzed as trees became uprooted and dust covered the area with a shadow of a beast in the middle of it. When the dust settled, Euphemia stared up widened eyes into the distorted face of the ogre-bull hybrid. It's fat stomach hung over hair bull legs, saliva dripped from it's fangs and snot from its nose, and its purple blood shot eyes zoomed in on her. Releasing a scream of terror, she dropped the basket and ran down the road as the beast pursued.

It swung its giant clawed hand towards her and she managed to duck only because she had tripped over her own two feet. Twirling around, the demon stood opening its jaw to bend down and swallow her whole. She screamed again, but this time a bight light shined from her pocket causing the beast to stagger back from being temporarily blinded. The flower floated out of her pocket and hovered in front of her as she sat up and reached out for it. Barely touching it, the flower transformed into a beautiful thin white blade while the intricate flower shaped hilt and handle were stained dark red. The old man said that flower was mysterious and protected its master which was now her. Gently grabbing the suspended blade, she stood up and took a stand even though she had no idea how to fight.

The wounded elemental didn't like the sound of more...not in the least.

Zien was just coming to to terms with that knowledge when the girl's guns went off. He hadn't heard anything that signaled an attack but he was out of it, so his instincts reacted; body jerking and stiffening against Karu. As he was right hand dominate for the most part, and that being the arm wounded, out of sheer reaction Zien tried to use that arm, which only earned him a world of pain.

Gasping and grinding his teeth together to not cry out like a little girl in front of little girls no less, he gripped his elbow holding that arm t him as if that would help. "Damn trigger happy crazy chick..." he cursed out under his breath upset with the woman that had fired her weapon for no damn reason.

Karu's questions though, the elemental nodded. "Its my shoulder...not my feet...I haven't lost that much blood....yet," he stated last as he was a little whozy, but Zien put that down as pain as him and pain didn't get along. He was content to go home thought, more then content as he was helped to his feet by his friend.

The shy little albino girl ran off for something, and they only took a few steps back in the direction they came when a scream split the air and the sound of trees falling over were heard. The girl's cries were getting closer too...leading the beast right back to them.

"Frack...this is just not our day..." he wheezed out looking over his shoulder; feeling guilty for leaving a fight that was clearly coming to them.

The shy girl seemed to run off on her own accord leaving Cardy to stand with Zien and Karuso alone. Zien explained he could obviously walk, and Karuso felt mildly stupid for asking. Cardy said "Where's that girl gone off to now? At least she won't come back with a severed head or somethign like the last..." quietly as she turned on her heel to look off into the distance. She stood in thought for those few moments too, the two behind her gave off a vibe, and the paler one struck her as a Daywalker... but he was an awful far way from home. She turned around and with a playful look in her eyes was about to say something, but then she heard the roar of a great monster coming from the direction that Euphemia ran off too. "Uh.." Cardy mumbled, turning around again as the ground shook more and more as the force got closer. Karuso cursed udner his breath and Zien commented on it, he wasn't best pleased either.

"We're leaving" Karuso then stated firmly, softly pushing Zien behind him as he stood out in front and took a few steps forwards towards Cardy. All of a sudden Euphemia was with them, but now she had a blade from nowhere and was attempting to stand up to the thing. Karuso stopped Cardy from going in just yet and he saved Euphemia from being pummelled in the demon's next attack. It raised up on its hind legs as Karuso lifted his palm and flung out some Darcane energy, the orb flew between the demon and Euphemia and as it was struck it exploded, sending the demon back. The remnants of the Darcane power regathered and spiralled to the floor as suddenly runes appeared on the ground. With a flick of his wrist Karuso summoned a Darcane barrier. The vampire turned on his heel once more and ignored Cardy, he said "that'll hold it, we have no more time to loiter around here."
"Oh such a shame, I was hoping to keep you around!" Cardy replied, but Karuso, with biting his teeth together managed to not reply to the girl. She had to take demons more seriously if she wanted to become a great demon hunter!

"We should go" Karuso then said, looking into Zien's eyes, begging him to go with him as quickly as possible "Or - if the pain becomes too much i'll swap it" he then added quickly as the situation worsened. The demon was striking at the barrier and it would only hold up for a little longer before it shattered. He wanted to get Zien home as quickly as possible, he wanted to tend to him.. make sure he was okay... wanted to just - be with him.

Euphemia

Euphemia had unknowing dragged the fight to the others and saw that Kaurso and Zien were still planted. Looking back, the demon raised its hind leg and go ready to crush her flat. Automatically, the child crouched in fear, but Kaurso personality took the time to save her. Conjuring one of his magic orbs, he sent the projectile at the beast and knocked it off balance. Before it could regain its equilibrium, the sparks left from the attack absorbed into the ground and created a barrier. The beast rummaged inside its confined space causing Euphemia to back away and glance at the two men. The long haired one desperately wanted to leave since his partner was still injured. Cardy however, continued to joke in order to make them stay.

Euphemia felt bad for making them stay longer than they intended, and turned to Cardy. She inched over to her side watching the demon attempt to break through the barrier. She tugged lightly on her guardian's sleeve and pointed to the demon and then to her blade. "Do I...kill it?" she questioned remembering Cardy's demonstration from before.

The declaration from Karu stating they were leaving, left no room for arguing. Not that Zien was in any shape to argue or complain, at this point he knew what that tone of voice meant. The young man could argue with the vampire, but it wouldn't due him any good. If Zien wasn't injured like he was as arguing to stay, he didn't put it past Karu to throw him over his shoulder and march off.

Tucked behind the taller and clearly more powerful male, Zien felt a sudden swell of something in his stomach and chest. Blood rushed in his ears and eventually to his cheeks as he broke out in a blush, but had no idea why. The elemental pushed it off on blood loss, since he seemed to be slowly doing so. Fortuantly Karu took care of the damn beasty well enough to hold it back for a time...to at least allow them to get out of there.

One again Karu pressed to leave and Zien relented with a nod. "...I'm in no shape to complain let alone join the fight." At Karu's words of swapping the man, he gave his companion a narrowed glare. As much as he hated pain, he wasn't about to let Karu take it on himself. "No, you wont." That was Zien's final word on the matter as he turned and made his way back the way they came as quickly as he could.

"Have fun ladies!" he called to them as he waved of his shoulder with his good arm.

Karuso and Zien finally took their leave, causing Cardy to stare for a few moments as they began walking away. She wanted them to stay longer, she wanted to learn about them more, particularly the pale one. But she couldn't stop them and a monster was going to sink it's jaws into Euphemia. That was when she asked if she should kill it.

Cardy stopped thinking for a moment and grinned, she looked over her shoulder and said quite simply "Yes. Kill it", giving Euphemia the order to use that weapon at her own will. The girl had to start somewhere - and if she had a weapon, she had to start somewhere, did she not? That was when Cardy turned around and crossed her arms, guns still firmly in her hands. She would watch and see what this girl had, she would see if she would prove herself worthy, if she could be strong and independant, if she could be kept along side Cardy and be useful in obtaining her goal! With Euphemia's help she'd be able to save her grandmother twice as fast!

Euphemia

The boy's made a swift escape leaving her and Cardy to fend off the demon. Actually, it was just her because Cardy wanted to test her abilities. With a simple command, her mentor stepped back giving Euphemia the spotlight even though she was inexperienced. As Cardy distanced herself, Euphemia turned back in time to watch the demon break free. Its hooves bucked high in the air ready to come down of the child's head. Suddenly, Euphemia felt like she was being controlled by instinct and jumped out of the way as the hove impacted the earth. Dirt disburses and Euphemia almost lost her balance, but somehow kept herself stable. As the creature searched for it, she took a chance and swung her sword carving deep into the demon's hairy leg. It roared and stomped around causing Euphemia to run from their area as quick as possible. What she didn't realize was that her sword contained a special poison that secreted from the blade naturally. The poison was injected into the demon's blood stream inflaming it and making it cough up reddish purple residue.

It's movements became sluggish, but once it spotted its target it rampaged straight for Euphemia. The girl thought an earthquake was coming for her and she glanced over her shoulder in horror. Before she was trampled, she rounded a tree and allowed the demon to plunge into it. Once it knocked into the trunk, splintering the wood, she ran and half way rolled from underneath the tree as it fell over. The ground rumbled under it and the demon was left dazed which gave her another opportunity to strike. Euphemia came to its side and jammed the sword into its ribs without hesitation. Blood splattered onto her dress and the poison was now apparent to her. A flowery/snowflake pattern was etched in its skin and the demon lay there in pain consisting vomiting. However, it swiped it's arm at her and managed to knock her down, but it wasn't a very strong attempt.

Euphemia suppressed tears of fear, remorse, and disgust as she scaled the beast up to his chest when it seemed restless. Once it started to twitch though, Euphemia had no choice but to end to the demon's suffering. Impaling its chest, she stayed there until the demon stopped resisting and died. Euphemia took a couple of tried to yank her sword out of the beast's chest and got down shakily. Once she got to solid ground, she dropped the blade and fell to her knees in fears while feeling ill from the smell of the blood was was doused with.

Euphemia was new to fighting, well, she just couldn't remember any of her skill or finesse in the arts however deep in her soul, in it's echo, the instinct was still very much alive. Cardy did not move and did not even think about interfering - she may seem like a loving and caring granddaughter, but in reality she had a cause and that was all that mattered. Euphemia wouldn't know it but if the girl died not Cardy wouldn't stop it... history has it's ways, and fate cannot be changed once it is made. She knew that.

It almost looked like Euphemia would fail too, but in the end she managed to pull through with a well planted stab to its chest. It became limp, and Cardy pulled an impressed expression as Euphemia dropped to her knees in shock, awe, and fear. Suddenly, Cardy walked up to her and said "By the shadows! You did it! Well done Euphemia! You're a real fighter now... here" she put out her hand to help the girl to her feet, she was disgusting with blood and cuts, but Cardy did not care she was used to that sort of thing. "I'll give you half of the bounty hm? And we can clean you up!"

Euphemia

Euphemia felt paralyzed until Cardy walked over and praised her for her efforts. The girl didn't know whether to be proud or scared of her mentors forced reliability on her. Inwardly, she was starting to question Cardy's moments and wondered if the blonde would actually let her die. It sure seems like it considering how she watched from a distance and didn't lift a finger to assist her. Morals aside, the girl silently accepted Cardy's hand and gripped her sword tightly. However, she suddenly lost her grip when the sword transformed back into a flower that wrapped around her wrist. It was similar to the crystalline sword that Kyne had granted her with, but she no longer remembers any of that.

Cardy distracted her when she awarded her with half the bounty and a much needed wash. Euphemia nodded to the clean up, but the bounty was meaningless to her because she still hasn't gotten the concept of money. Regardless, she didn't want to argue against Cardy's wishes and upset her.

╔════____════Aoi Celeste════____════╝
Someone's calling you, can't you hear the voice?
Now it's time to go, show your bravery.

The words, "I want to protect you," came flowing out of nowhere;
If you can put a stop to this feeling - this voice -
Then just try to break it!

Aoi had been invited to bring her team over to the Indar Forest just outside of the academy for their afternoon break before their final lesson for the day. She quickly agreed in the school corridors earlier today, especially since the two teams hadn't had chance to converse with each other much since yesterday's sparring in the arena. The two teams had gathered in a clearing among the trees, where the sun beat down on them in the otherwise wintry day. Team Sun and Aoi's team had both brought large blankets to cover the ground with, protecting them from the cold hard grown as they sat and caught up with each other. Aoi couldn't be more happy to finally have all her best friends here together in one place, with some spare time to do what they like. She and Lottie were huddled together, scrolling through Aoi's Arcaz device. It was quite similar to Non-magic Earth's smartphone, however this was like a place of glass, and was powered by Arcanicity. It was rare to have devices like this outside of the soverighty, and it had limited access to things outside of Entei. Other devices similar to these were used outside of the sovereignty by other guilds and citizens, but they were only usable in local towns or cities, and inter-realm communication had to be made from certain areas. Because of this, other nations had their own preferred methods of communication which were still much more trustworthy, albeit a little more traditional. "I can't believe your sister has been performing for nearly 10 years" Aoi gasped, listening to the tunes of Maximum Beat. "I know!" Lottie said, "oh, this one is new! Have you heard it yet?" Lottie pressed something on the glass and a song began to play. That was when Sagiso perked up from his conversation with Micha'el. "Wait... the lead singer of Maximum Beat is your sister? His coral coloured hair appeared between the heads of the girls as he looked down at her device. "We already went through this" Carmelia chimed in, sat beside Tsuna, "we told you, numerous times"
"What?! I don't remember this, Kyuroyuri, did you know?"
"Yeah..." he responded, orange eyes peering through long black hair. "She's so cool..." Aoi's eyes glistened at the thought. That was when Lottie had a huge grin on her face, "well, technically we're cousins, but ever since i started living with my uncles we've been sisters! You better be ready - big sis is coming to visit me for Christmas now that her tours are finishing down south."

If someone were to ask us, "Who's this all for?" We'd laugh, and say, "Our egos."

Even if a mirage lies before us... even if our communication remains surface-level...
I realise that I truly believe; there's more than forewells to be found on this planet!
Even if time passes and this all fades away, I'll still smile and say, "It wasn't a waste!"

Tsuna Miki

Team Sun and Aoi's team decided to have a picnic in a clearing of the Indar Forest just outside the academy grounds. They laid down a large banket to separate them from the cold, hard ground. The sun was shining through the skeleton branches of the trees making the scenery eerily serene. Aoi and Lottie sat together scrolling on a Arcaz Device, which was equivalent to Non Magic Earth's smartphone. This was the first time Tsuna had seen one of these devices in action. Embarrassingly, she quietly had to ask Micha'el what it was since she had never seen or heard about it before. He told her it was rare for someone to possess one outside of the sovereignty considering the device had limited access outside of Entei. He even informed her that most citizens had other ways of communication since they were unusable in local towns. Lottie and Aoi started a conversation about Aoi's sister, well actually her cousin, the lead singer of Maximum Beat. This intel sparked Sagiso interest as he dropped his conversation with Micha'el to squeeze into their space. Carmelia made herself confrontable next to Tsuna as she insisted they told him and even Kyuroyuri knew this. The song of the phone rang out loud and clear as Tsuna laid back, her tail thumping to the beat. Aoi happily announced that her cousin was coming to visit for Christmas which made Tsuna a bit intrigued. Tsuna sat up and looked at the Arcaz device. "What else can that thing do? Or does it just play music?" She was genuinely curious tilting her head to get another look at the piece of glass.
