Aaron Eveans ((No worries! Finals are coming up again though so I apologize for the gaps between my posts too!)) When she began to talk, both of her pale hands cupping the glowing, green gem, gold flashed across the iris of his eyes, inner wolf screaming at him to get out, get out, GET OUT! The skittering noise of goblins wasn't what was causing his fear, rather it was the glint that had taken hold in Leah's eyes. His lycan instincts proved correct when she lifted one hand and right before his eyes, sent a blast of green light, his ears overloaded with a great boom, sending the goblins tumbling back, the stink of burning flesh and the iron tinge of blood creeping into his nostrils. Aaron watched in horror as the goblins were slowly crushed, dying crumpled and being unable to draw even a single breath. He had seen this before, she had gone power hungry or something was controlling her. Internally, Aaron knew going with her in search of the jewel was a bad idea, he had seen the secrecy she employed and done nothing about it. He had trusted her far too much and look where it had gotten him. Bile rose in his throat when she thanked him. Apologies rose to his lips though he forced them down as his hand went to his gun, fingers settling around the grip. He had to be prepared to kill her. Suddenly she began to whisper. Something about her...husband? Suddenly it seemed an earthquake struck, rocks falling from the ceiling, the vines created by Leah rotting away to nothing, her eyes turning frightened and desperate. The gem was dying. He drew his gun when he saw her recoil from some unseen blow. Then seven figures stepped out of the shadows. He raised his gun slowly to point at one of the figures, face hidden though he could see a naked sword in their left hands. "What do you want?" he could see Leah crumbling. She was still his client and he had developed something he would like to call a friendship with the woman. It was worth a shot though his inner wolf wanted to bolt. These men smelled of pure danger and power.

ζeaɦ Seems like just yesterday You were a part of me I used to stand so tall I used to be so strong Your arms around me tight Everything, it felt so right Unbreakable, like nothin' could go wrong Now I can't breathe No, I can't sleep I'm barely hanging onHere I am, once again I'm torn into pieces Can't deny it, can't pretend Just thought you were the one Broken up, deep inside But you won't get to see the tears I cry Behind these opened eyes
Aaron, he was what began as a simple pawn in Leah's plans so she could securely get her hands on the Emerald Jewel - but in the end it seemed all her hopes were futile. Now, though, Aaron was pitted between what he knew should be right, and what he felt was right in his heart. Realising the blow again her, trying to get up she began to realise how stupid she was. She was truly, very, very sorry in her heart. She never wanted Aaron to get hurt, and now he was putting himself in the face of danger, or all 7 of them. One of the figures decided to reply to Aaron, yelling "we want to secure the Emerald Jewel once again as we did centuries ago". Leah heard him speak, but she couldn't tell which one it was, even as her vision came back to her. The jewel above her began to show its last breaths of life is it fell to the floor, cracking in the process. She tried to reach down to it, and was very quickly grasping a hold of it again and holding it tightly. Then another of the men shouted out to her, but he had exactly the same voice "You have endangered the world by seeking out a Jewel that is kin to those that began the Jewel War-" "B-but i don't want a war! I want vengeance!" she cried out, clutching the jewel close to her chest, feeling the crack with her finger tips across it's body. With a tearing coming down her face she managed to let out "I deserve my own justice..." "By using a remnant of the Omnijewel, the absolute weapon of justice..." another of the men said, yet again, the same voice. Leah swallowed her pride as she began to abondone all hope, all she could let out now was "I'm sorry Aaron..." she looked to him and repeated herself with "I am... so sorry for dragging you into this"
After a brief pause in their actions, one of the men stepped forwards and said "Your justice would be futile and your actions would be of treason for the Syndicate", then another stepped forwards and said "But... we are not the syndicate. And you may be relieved." "What?" she asked, daring to looking onwards at them. "You mean... i can just g-" "No. First you need to know the truth" the 7 said in unison. Then Leah could feel something wrapping itself around her ankle, when she looked down she was shocked to see a vine crawling its way up her armour, it had a tight grip as it came to her waist and followed her arm to finally wrap around her hand to attempt reactivating the jewel, and it did.
Around both Leah and Aaron, the entire room had a greenish glow, there was one distinct light coming to life between Aaron and Leah, before it finally came to resemble that of a man, and Leah stared on with a bewildered expression. Leah then begant o piece it all together, who else but seven would have the power to stop a jewel, and had done something so great centuries ago. Another tear flowing down her cheek she said "Y-your the Circle, aren't you" as she stared at the figure ebfore her, the man she had wanted to see for so long. Her jaw tightening as her teeth began to grit and her fists getting tighter. The men then all said "Yes." "And this..." she nodded forwards, gesturing at the glowing man, almost a ghost before her eyes "this is" she didn't even have to finish her own question, she knew the answer. It was her husband. Wiping her tears away her tone darkened when she said "You deserve to die-" "But i already am" he said, his voice soft but filled with pain as he told her the truth. Leah couldn't even reply, her throat was filled with a rock that wouldn't move. "I know your angry, Leah... and i hate to tell you this but... i died, a long time ago" she shook her head in denial. "I know its hard but you have to believe in me. I've been trying to speak to you all this time, ever since you thought i vanished and left you, but i couldn't because i've been - like this" Leah looked at him, everything about him was exactly like her husband. Blonde short hair, blue eyes, his clothes were the same as he remembered him too, and his expressions were only what he could make. "H-how do i know it's really you? What really happened?" she groaned, her voice giving way. She could see his lips curling, he was becoming upset too. "Because i love you, Leah. I always did, and i always will!... listen" he wanted to tell her something. Something to tell her it was him. "Look, " he said, swallowing, not wanting to tell her but knowing she deserved to know. "I was murdered... i tried to stop a man, Zoltan Maues... he was defiling a family, turning them into slaves as a passed. I couldn't let that happen, and... i failed. But please, listen, this is how you'll believe i am really who you married. I'll be here waiting, hoping, praying." he said "That - the sty will guide you home. When your feeling lost i'll leave my love" she began to shake her head, covering her ears as the song that played when they married was coming from his lips, the lyrics not in musical form, but in a sincere message to her. "Hidden in the sun - for when the darkness comes..." he said, and with that Leah broke down in tears. "I'm sorry... i never knew... all this time!" "Don't worry Leah! I love you, and i always will. But please... don't let this change who you are, you have a future, and a friend" he gestured to Aaron. " It might not be with me but yours is bright and worth more than this" she nodded, understanding him and wanting to feel his touch so badly for the first time in such a long time. "You need to let go of the jewel, Leah." "But i don't want to say goodbye" "I know. But this isn't. I'll be with you, always" he said, smiling, but she found it too difficult to loosen the grip on the Jewel, she knew now that without it she couldn't see him any more. "I promise" he said, and instead of shaking she nodded and said "okay", her voice barely a wisper as her clutch on the jewel loosened and the vines retreated. With it, the vision of her husband began to fade as she said "I love you too... Jay"
Then he vanished, and the jewel rolled along the floor as she fell to her knees, exhausted. Then the Circle gave their farewell as they said " You chose the right option." and vanished, the jewel being taken by vines, deep into the ground.
(so sorry for having such a long post, needed to get this part done! razz )
Swallow me then spit me out For loving you, I blame myself Seeing you it kills me now No, I don't cry on the outside Anymore... Anymore... Aaron Eveans He watched the conversation, lowering his weapon, though he kept tense, ready to bolt in a moment's notice. He froze when Leah turned back towards him. "It's fine," he choked out. God he was going to die here? Any regrets left? Anything left to say? Nothing really, except the fact he would never get to kill the wolf that changed him. He snapped out of his thoughts when the room began to be suffused with a green glow, a man eventually stepping out of the light. The two began to talk and Aaron took a step back, wondering if he should turn away, this was a personal moment that he had no right to be listening in on. From what he understood though, this man was the reason they had been after the jewel, Leah's...husband? Lover? Someone close to her anyway. The man gestured towards him, and he watched as the jewel, the man, and the circle (?) disappeared. Leah fell to her knees and he approached slowly, gun still drawn though there was no more threat according to the wolf. "What the h*ll just happened?" he asked, collapsing down next to her, setting his gun down and looking over to Leah. He could accuse her, be angry, but honestly, he had signed up for the danger, and getting angry wasn't going to do anything at this point. All he really needed was an explanation of some sort before moving on.

She heard Aaron slowly walk over... she wasn't sure whether to feel guilty or depressed. He asked what happened and seem to fall beside her as he stared to her, waiting for an answer. Looking up, her sweaty black hair hung over her eyes until she parted it with her hands and said "I... I don't know." she looked back behind her to see if anything was left, if her husband was still present. But it was all gone, even the Jewel.
"We- We should go" she said "I'll explain everything... I won't keep anymore secrets from you. Hopefully you'll find it in your heart to forgive me..."

Aaron Eveans "Yeah..." he hesitated. "Yeah you're right." Aaron slowly got up to his feet, looking back as he listened to what Leah had to say afterwards. Drawing in a deep breath, he opened his mouth to say something before closing it with a frown, turning to offer his hand and help her up instead. "Let's go," he said quietly, waiting for her. Yeah. He'd forgive her. He had secrets of his own that he had to keep. He'd be a hypocrite if he didn't forgive her for keeping secrets.

╔════__❃__════Aoi Celeste════__❃__════╝ Someone's calling you, can't you hear the voice? Now it's time to go, show your bravery. All these shards forgot where they were flying to As they dissolved into the days that passed by In my hands I hold a jar to gather up the evening dew I’m searching for that one missing piece!
It had been just over a full day of travelling on the back of Leah's motorcycle. Aoi had known Leah for a few years now, since Arisa had become Lucas Purevelion's assistant. But she never expected to be on a quest with one of the best Inquisitors of the syndicate, and with one of her friends from Hope Academy. Along the journey Leah and Tsuna had filled her in on this.... Legion. He was once a normal man in the royal army, back in the day of the royal family. Now he was a dead man walking with magical power beyond anything she could imagine. And to top it off... they were on their way to intercept him, probably. Tsuna and Leah were coming here to the mountains to find something resting in Bergrisok. Legion would probably want it too, but apparently he was trying to kill Tsuna for something that she stole. It all sounded crazy, but Aoi has seen crazy, in Otherearth, back home in Entei. She won't give up on her friend. Bergrisok was still travelling through the Aerie Peaks and wasn't resting yet, but eventually they'd be able to catch up. In fact they could see the mountain ahead, moving amongst the mountains around it.
It wasn't long until they got close enough to see it's legs, it was like a giant monster, a monolithic crab-thing. "Wow" Aoi said as Leah's motorcycle came to a stop. "This is as close as I get with my bike" Leah said, kicking its locked into gear as she turned off the engine, her legs detaching themselves from the layered machinery. "The mountain is slower before reaching its resting point, so we should be able to catch it quite easily. Then we have to get inside, just be careful, Bergrisok is known to try and 'shake off' unwanted guests." "Right" Aoi said. "I sure wish we had Carmelia here, she could throw us all up there with a magic cannon."

Legion was standing atop a formation of stones and blood he had put into a pentagram beneath him. The molten lava moving around their small island surrounded by cliffs was bubbling more aggressively now as his energy began to gather. By the land bridge that connected the cliffs and the island a swarm of Scarred could be seen. Half-human, half-demon people, some of them mindless. They were waiting for Legion and his sidekick to open the portal. When she asked Legion where they would be going he said "I have deep connections with some of the places I visited during my life. This is but one of them. We go to Albanoch Desert, where the Aerie Peaks touch the sands." He was just finishing the last of the blood lines. There was a body of a Scarred not far from him, its blood spilling out after being killed only an hour ago. "We are done" Legion said, taking a step back, his shoulders hanging low in his robes. Suddenly fire ignited over the pentegram and consumed the blood, the stoned glowed white-hot then dimmed to a brilliant red-orange before a swirling red portal opened before them, through it, an encampment could be seen, people in light layers of clothing with camels near them gawking at the sudden appearance of a portal. "Go now, my minions. Subdue anything that lives on the other side. Chain them, break their legs, cut out their tongues, but leave their essence for me - anyone that kills a person on the other side will be cursed with an afterlife in Hell, understood?" With that the Scarred all cheered and began to charge through the ever stretching portal. Through the otherside the screams of people could be heard. the 50 or so Scarred were through, Legion and his sidekick passed through.

Tsuna MikiTsuna held tight onto Aoi while she hugged onto Leah during the day long motorcycle ride. As the rode on, Tsuna and Leah took turns or accidentally spoke simultaneously about Legion and all they knew. It was vital to find the item that resides on Bergrisok's back, a enormous mountain crab, before Legion gets to it. He wants whatever took from him, but even she couldn't figure out what that was. Their encounter ended in tragedy for both of them because although he claimed the orchid it didn't fully revive him. Her teams were wounded and she retreated returning to the school empty handed. Bergriosk was easy to spot in its slow, earthshaking descent. She could identify the crab almost instantaneously as it did not camouflage itself among the mountains. They approached its legs and the two teens gawked at the ancient beast, meanwhile their guardian calmly assessed the situation. She concluded that's as far as they go with the vehicle and ascend the creature manually. Parking her bike, she informed them that they'd be able to catch up and get on its back. However, Bergrisok is prone to sensitivity and they don't want to be shaken off. Absentmindedly, Aoi made some comment about her teammate using a magic cannon to capitulate them up there. A light bulb dinging in Tsuna's brain and she smirked mischievously. Unleashing her hammer, she flipped it around where the rod faced upwards instead of the head of the hammer. "If you recall, my cannon's pretty effective too. How about you two fuse your arcane magic and I can get us all up there."
Legion stood sacrilegiously on top of a formation of stones and a pentagram comprised of Scarred blood. The lava around them bubbled and boiled intensely as he summoned the dark energies around him. Near the bridge, connecting the cliffs to the molten island, an enslaved army of Scarred and Half-Human/Demon awaited for Legion's portal to appear. Fae eventually conjured up enough confidence to ask, "Where are we going?" He told her that he will still in touch with places from his past life and the Albanoch Desert was one of them. He finished the ritual and the pentagram ignited into the flames as the stones around glowed red-hot. A swirling red portal tore into reality revealing an encampment of foreigners on the other side staring in disbelief. He immediately commanded the mindless fleet to ensnare and paralyze the victims so he could obtain their essence easily. The Scarred roared in excitement as they trampled through the portal torturing the villagers relentlessly. As for Fae, she begged to join in the affairs which Legion seemed to happily grant her permission. She pounced and captured a helpless woman whom began to scream and pleaded to let her go in a strange language. Fae shrugged and thought nothing of her screams as she twisted and broke both her legs laughing maniacally.

All these shards forgot where they were flying to As they dissolved into the days that passed by In my hands I hold a jar to gather up the evening dew I’m searching for that one missing piece!
Aoi was mesmerized by the mountain. She had read many books about it at Hope Academy, they even had a few lessons dedicated entirely to the mythical creature. At her comments about magic cannons, Tsuna had a bright idea. The moment that she saw Tsuna's hammer twirl around in her hand she had a bad feeling, a feeling that was more than right to have. "You have got to be joking" Leah began, looking wide-eyed at the head of Tsuna's hammer near the ground. Aoi looked between the two of them, quickly deciding which would be better to side with. "Well" Aoi began, putting her fingers together "we could create a kind of rebounding barrier and let Tsuna's recoil do the rest..." "Absolutely not" Leah said, crossing her arms.
A few minutes passed and somehow, Leah regretted to think, they had gotten themselves into a precarious position around Tsuna's hammer, herself and Aoi casting their arcane magic behind them, creating a dull glowing, magical barrier with some swirling circles amongst it. It hummed calmly beneath them. "This can't possibly work" Leah protested, still casting magic from her finger tips, recounting her memories of learning magic from her time in Entei. She couldn't, for the life of her, remember how to properly cast Calculative Magic, so this would have to do. Aoi meanwhile was pointing her wand down and focusing her magic to help strengthen Leah's, since she wasn't very good and giving magic form without singing. "I hope it works" Aoi said, looking up at Tsuna as the girl grinned and got ready to pull the trigger. Moments before they were sent flying into the sky towards the mountain, Leah shouted "YOU BETTER HAVE LANDING STRATEGIES!"

Legion stepped through and into the portal behind his small squadron of Scarred and their small ravenous beasts. He made sure not to invite any necromancers, they were some of the more intelligent Scarred, but they were sneaky, and they also enjoyed consuming life essence. Necromancers collected the essence of life during death, and would capture it, often in vessels or ziggurats. He didn't want them stealing any of this from him. Legion could see his ruination fall over this small encampment. Innocent people, crippled, tied, thrown to the side, their tents destroyed and their fires snuffed out. The sun beat down on him, had he been alive he would be sweating profusely in his thick tattered robes. The portal behind him closed and suddenly he heard nothing but cries of pain from the people around him. Legion raised a hand, his eyes glowing brightly in his sockets as the Scarred began to gag and silence their victims. Fae made sure to make it more obvious when she did it, and stayed close to the front where Legion was so that he had a good eyeful of her devotions to him. Without a word, he clenched his fist in the air, a dull, lilac light lit up between his fingers and caused a rush of air to burst from beneath him. It wasn't strong, at least not physically. Sand and smoke was blown back lightly, but the moment that the air touched his victims their skin and clothes began to tear and blow outwards, as if strong gales were attacking them. Their cries were drown out by the sound of blood bursting outwards, but it quickly dried and exposed their bones and sinew until suddenly their souls collapsed from their bodies, falling through the Scarred and Fae that held them tight. The ground was them covered in a silvery mist that looked thick like water, and as the souls splashed down into it they were pulled towards Legion, becoming absorbed by the spiraling mist beneath him.
In minutes it was over, and each corpse was a dry husk. "Do as you wish with their bodies, I'm sure you have your uses for them" Legion said to the Scarred. Without a second to waste they were tearing the corpses limb from limb, eating any small pieces of meat left over, some of the more intelligent Scarred took strong bones, wondering if they could use them for weapons, others decided the skulls they found were worth keeping to sell back to the Necromancers back home in Bloodholme. "Fae" Legion said, his eyes glowing brighter than ever, his form, somehow looking much fuller now, yet still skeletal. "I am almost reborn. We need that which is mine, that which the mutt-girl possesses!"

Aoi was screaming through the air at the sudden speed Tsuna's hammer had sent them soaring with. Leah was gliding through the air, already calculating how she would land with ease and Tsuna looked more excited than ever. But then Aoi remember back to their mission in Sunspire, she had done this before, this time she could do it with ease! Aoi held her breath, picturing a feather in the ocean, floating slowly down to the seabed. She held her arms out and opened her hands wide, as if they would capture the air around her. Then, as her body began to glow with arcane magic, her descent began to become a glide, and eventually she was slowly falling down behind Tsuna and Leah to the base of the moving mountain. Leah meanwhile saw that Aoi was falling much more slowly, thankfully the girl was better trained than expected. She swung herself around in the air, shifting her clothes into the white plate and black carbon she used with her land encounter with Legion. She twisted again, this time sending out a large shard that struck the ground ahead of them and began to glow at its tip. Her hand began to glow a similar bright blue before turning white. At the same time her armour exposed long 'wings' that allowed her to glide in a fast, straight and controlled manner. When she got closer she activated the shard on the ground and a white, glowing chain extended from it to Leah's hand. Using it, she collided with the ground and and surfed across the grass, using the chain to move around the shard in a large circle before eventually coming to a stop.

Tsuna MikiAt the first mention of catapulting themselves up to an impossible height was absolutely ludicrous and beyond dangerous according to Leah. After Aoi hesitantly deliberated between the two of them, Tsuna trying to convince her discreetly, she ultimately sided with her. She specified to Leah that the recoil of Tsuna cannon combine with their arcane barrier could get them up their quickly rather than efficiently. Tsuna snubbed Leah's second rejection and replied rebellious, "You've made it this far with a trope of crazed teenagers, so why object now?" smirking playfully, the wolf could feel Leah's stern gaze judging her. Eventually, the proposal became reality and the three companions huddled around Tsuna's hammer while dull glowing, swirling magic conjured beneath them. Leah focused on her conjuring, despite her complaining, and Aoi it enhanced the barrier saving her magically vocals for a more dire situation. Simultaneously, the red head's hammer heated up, visible steam arose from the metal as she conducted the heat through the handle and into the cannon. As her power increased it built up in the cannon until the condensed heat was read to explode. Before they took off like a rocket, Leah blathered about a strategy for landing to which Tsuna scoffed, "CATS LAND ON THEIR FEET! DOGS...." Tsuna couldn't think of a point which probably scared the piss out of Leah, but it was all in good fun. The cannon spurted, ringing out like a bullet as they flew through the air. Leah and Aoi practically guided while Tsuna helplessly flailed around like a rag doll, but didn't scream once laughing joyfully instead. Although Aoi screamed at the beginning of the launch, she found confidence in her abilities; something Tsuna hadn't had a chance to witness their first mission together. Summoning arcane magic that outlined her silhouette, her descent slowed and she floated down like a feather. Leah changed her carbon white suit to the black battle form and threw down a shard anchoring it into the ground. The tip protruding up to the sky illuminated reacting to the same magic flowing through her palms. Exposing wings from her armor, she dived towards the shard activating an ethereal chain that she grabbed to swing her around the shard until she slides to a complete stop. Tsuna wasn't near as graceful purposely aiming herself at a tree and at the last second smashing though it with her hammer. She grabbed a chunk of wood that was big enough and placed it under her feet riding it down sloped trunks until she lost momentum and hopped off excitingly. "DOGS SHRED!" Tsuna belted victoriously as she trotted over happily to Leah and lovingly held out her hands to catch Aoi similar to the first time.
Fae remember to watch Legion's command before she thrilling mangling got out of hand. His eyes lit a crimson red and happily she gagged a mother and daughter pair in front of Legion imprisoning them by their long, black locks on their knees. She smiled in devotion at her master as a lilac light encroached his fingers before bursting out like a sonic wave. The wave attacked their victims from the outside in, a gruesome demise indeed but captivating to watch. They skin and clothes tore and buckets of blood oozed from the tears exposing muscle and bone. All that gore was sucked back in drying them up like raisins before excavating the soul from their bodies. Fae dropped the corpses and temporally harvested the soul until a silver mist surrounded their legs like a shallow, but dark pond. The left them nourishing the mist until Legion cultivated the souls finally absorbing them.
Legion left the Scarred the husks to use them for whatever they desired whether it be weapons from bones or food. Fae left the corpses and wondered over to Legion whom looked more fuller in his skeletal form and his eyes even more brighter than before. His transformation was nearly there, the last ingredient was that obnoxious mutt. If that is his wish though, she would fulfill his command. "As you wish, Master." Fae bowed to him honorably.
