Tunnel Mazes
The underground of DarkClan territory is full of intermixed tunnels that lead everywhere and anywhere. They are dark, dank, and cold. Navigating them is hard without having known them for a very long time. Even DarkClan apprentices tend to get lost. Very often warriors are forced to go out on search parties when apprentices wander off on their own and never return.

ⓈⓀⓎⓅⓄⓊⓃⒸⒺ Skypounce pads out into the tunnels, the scent of fear coming strong from. His paws begin to shake, and he was glad it was dark enough so that Shadowpelt couldn't see. Using his whiskers and nose, he begins to navigate the tunnels with ease."There is some roots I like to use not far ahead."

DˎˊˋˏaˎˊˋˏrˎˊˋˏkˎˊˋˏCˎˊˋˏlˎˊˋˏaˎˊˋˏnˎˊ ˋˏWˎˊˋˏaˎˊˋˏrˎˊˋˏrˎˊˋˏiˎˊˋˏoˎˊˋˏrShadowpelt felt no fear as he entered the tunnels. He felt confident that they were sturdy, and trusted them after living in them for so long. His eyes did become useless here though, so he let his other senses take over. As a cat in the clan blessed with sight, the sensation was a bit odd, but he was used to it.
He was surprised to scent such strong fear coming off of the medicine cat. It was difficult to not notice it. He wondered what could have happened to Skypounce to make him so fearful. He might have asked, but it seemed too invasive. Besides, he really didn't like to talk unless it was necessary.
"Alright." He answered, following the medicine cat.

ⓈⓀⓎⓅⓄⓊⓃⒸⒺSkypounce stops as he comes upon some chervil root sticking out of the tunnel, the scent hitting his nose. He began to chew at the root, trying not to disturb the dirt around it. He would not fall like his mother did. He chewed with slight panic, trying to keep his fear down as he sits one root on the ground. His heart thudded in his chest, and he hoped the warrior beside him couldn't hear. He moves to another, chewing on it, his jaws aching from the effort. He purrs in relief as the second root drops to the ground. He picks them both up in his jaws, before continuing onward.

DˎˊˋˏaˎˊˋˏrˎˊˋˏkˎˊˋˏCˎˊˋˏlˎˊˋˏaˎˊˋˏnˎˊ ˋˏWˎˊˋˏaˎˊˋˏrˎˊˋˏrˎˊˋˏiˎˊˋˏoˎˊˋˏrShadowpelt continued to follow Skypounce. The fear scent was almost sickening to his stomach. It was driving him crazy, but he had no desire to get deep into the medicine cat's issues. He really did not care that much about why, he just wished the medicine cat would be calmer. Did he think the cave was about to collapse on top of them?
"Do you want me to carry some?" He didn't really want to offer, but it seemed like the right thing to do.

ⓈⓀⓎⓅⓄⓊⓃⒸⒺSkypounce nods, passing the deputy a root to carry. The next part of his herb gathering would scare him even more, but unless he wanted to go above ground, which he hated to do, even more than he hated traveling the tunnels. He stops, his paw brushing against the top of the tunnel, purring in delight as he felt some roots sticking out. His nervousness was fading slightly, and he closes his eyes. He digs at the roots until they were uncovered, and pulls down on them, revealing a whole branch, laden with poppy seeds. He pulls down a bunch, finally turning to the deputy, not liking the feeling of the slightly shriveled berries in his mouth. Greenleaf couldn't come soon enough."There's not much more I can gather until they grow in, or I go up. Which i'm sure you're getting tired of following me around."

He was careful to not chew them, though they still left a bit of a bitter taste in his mouth. Oh well. The medicine cat needed these, and at least this way he was helping his clan in some way. He heard the medicine cat pull a branch of some kind down, and gather something off of it. He nodded at the medicine cat's words, as his mouth was full of root, and turned around in the tunnel. He began to lead the way back to camp.

ⓈⓀⓎⓅⓄⓊⓃⒸⒺSkypounce held the bunch of berries in front of him carefully, hating the feeling of dirt and pebbles falling onto him every now and then. It made his heart skip a beat. He stared ahead of him into the pitch dark, barely able to see the deputy's tail waving in front of his face. The two, making a seemingly fast pace, finally return to camp."Thank you, Shadowpelt!"
