Deoxy redirected the light a few times watching Avalon attack it. "You really are a cat!" He nodded. "Yeah, I've never met someone like---Ack!" Deoxy fell over when she pounced on him. Luckily, he had moved so he wasn't too close to his work while redirecting the light, so his DNA replica was unharmed when he fell. "Like you. And you're lucky I wasn't standing where I originally was." He commented, sitting up as much as he could. "And was it really necessary to pounce on me?"

She lain on top of him, crossing her arms over his chest to stop him from getting up just yet, giggling.... "Yes, I am a cat... but now you will remember that I am also more than just a cat..." tilting her head to look at the model.. giving his face a couple of pats with her hand before she'd roll off of him and go to inspect the parts. "I was attempting to draw you away from it by moving around as I was... I'm glad to see it worked, it would have been a shame if it were crushed. Because, yes... it was necessary... because it was fun..." she'd turn to look at him with a sly smile, "if only you could have seen the look on your face, then you'd understand why my hands were tied and there was no choice..." she was playing with him like he had been her... "Though I have to say, this looks finished..." Perking up her brows as she'd admire his work... "I do hope there is more then that one metal bit left over, a girl does have to toughen up her scales..." saying this as she was fingering a light flesh but decidedly faintly green tinged scale on her belly.

Deoxy couldn't help but laugh and flop back down as Avalon laid on him. He was having a blast out here. Moving is project outside was a great idea. "Yes, I will definitely remember you more than just a cat. Although, you are still distracted by shiny things and fish. I can still use that to my advantage." He stood up and dusted himself off. "Thank you for thinking of my model." He looked over it. "Yeah, I guess it is almost done. I just have to add one last thing." Deoxy finished off his model and stepped back. "There, now it's perfect. And..." He looked over at his boxes. "I do have more left over. There's another box." He gestured to said box. "There's some more pieces if you would like them." He tilted his head. "The metal toughens up your scales?" That was a new one for Deoxy.

She'd regard him as he'd point out what distracted her, "True enough..." giving a sigh as she'd look mournfully back at the pond, she really could have gone for some fish... "you don't strike me as the sort that would take advantage of anyone Deoxy..." if he had been, she would have left him long before now... some games she liked, other's she did not... smiling when he'd thank her, "well, I couldn't destroy all that work! I would take even longer for me to get my reward!" laughing softly as she'd follow him over to the boxes. "The model looks really impressive..." patting him on the back with a lightly clawed hand...nodding her head as he'd ask his question, "Mmmhmm... as you can see, I can find enough to keep the scales on my wings strong..." flexing her wings to show the hardened flesh covered with scales on the joining parts between the pale leathery flesh... "and a bit on other parts of me... I think the more I eat, the more scaled I'll become, or at least I can hope!..." giving a bit of a sigh, "with the way things are in the world right now, I'd do well to have a bit of armor on me, eh?..."

"I wouldn't normally use someone's weakness against them. But if I was given a reason to, I could." Deoxy explained. He's not the type to manipulate someone in such way unless coerced into it or a situation demands it. "That is true. I would've taken longer for you to get your reward, if I would've even had extra pieces after trying to fix it. Somethings could get broken if I had fallen on it." He grinned, proud of his work. "Thank you, Avalon. It does look pretty good." He looked at her wings and did notice the scales. "Yes, I suppose that makes sense then. And yeah, I am worried about what's to come. A bit of armor would be a good idea."

She understood perfectly what he meant, only using a weakness if there was really no other choice... "though, in a situation of life and death... it's best to know true weakness that would distract... I don't think a bit of fish or a shiny thing would impair me if someone had a blade at my throat... of course, I've never been in that situation..." sighing softly, she'd pop one of the bits of metal into her mouth, sucking on it and letting the acidic saliva do it's work as she thought and listened to him talking... tilting her head to look over at him as she worked the metal around her mouth, it wasn't as tasty as the coin had been, but it would do the job, perhaps even better.. motioning to the box as the last of the metal faded from her mouth, "So then, all of these are mine?" It seemed a bit unfair, but at the same time she wasn't going to complain, "you worked hard on it, and you're gifted with your hands, I can tell..." she'd start stuffing the metal bits into her pockets after he told her it was alright for her to take them... "Hmm.." she'd been croutching by the box, then she'd fish something out of her pocket and hand it up towards him, it was a small scale, about the size of a silver dollar, "these fall out from time to time... People like to make armor out of larger dragon scale... but this, you could study it, make a jewelry piece from it... and if my scales start coming in more frequently and replacing others so they too fall out, you may actually be able to make yourself some armor too" she'd smile up at him... "It's good to have friends, especially at a time like this... What would you think... if I suggested something of a trade agreement... I can get you things from the woods, like fresh game and herbs... and perhaps a scale or two... and you can bring me a bit of metal, fish or milk?"

"What if they use a kaleidoscope of shiny things and colors to distract you while they slit your throat? I mean, I hope you are never in that situation, ever, because it's such a terrible situation to be in." He really didn't want her to ever be in that situation. He didn't want anyone to be in that situation in any role of that situation. He looked over at the box. There was a bunch of pieces left that he could use for something else, but he did say she could have the leftovers. "Thank you. I like building models and stuff. It's easier to study structures and connections on a larger scale than actual size." Deoxy smiled at the compliment. "It is very good to have friends. You're my first friend." He confessed. He took the scale. "I can make things out of these?" He looked it over and could see how that's possible. "That sounds like a fair trade, although, I will warn you that you'll get mainly metal from me than anything else, but I'll try to get you the others as often as I can."

She'd stare at him for a long moment after he'd theorize a possible end to her... death by kaleidoscope...Blinking her emerald eyes slowing, honestly looking a bit stunned... "Well..." clearing her throat that may be slit because of her fascination with colors.. one of her hands lifting to rub at the flesh as her eyes darted away from him a moment... "ahem... um..." looking back at him, she'd speak in a matter of fact tone, "you're thoughts do run a shade on the darker side don't they?" at least when it came to ways to die it seemed... "I would hope not too, you'll just have to be there to .... uh... stop me?" She really didn't know, the thought had never crossed her mind.

Giving a shake to her head to clear it she'd turn back to him, smiling again, seemingly relieved that the discussion had moved on to something more... well actually, less dire. "Like I said, I speak the truth, you have a talent..." she looked a bit surprised when she found out she was his first friend... "you're mine too!" giving a laugh and nodding, "yes, very good... it's always good to have someone to talk to." Eying the small scale he had... "Well, in lore or whatever... dragon scales, blood, bone... whatever... it can all be used for something or other.. I just know the scales are tough and hard to cut through, but I can tell you, you won't be getting any bones or blood out of me soon!" giggling again as he'd admit that her idea was good and he'd probably be only able to get her metal most times. "Well, that's good enough for me!..." Thrusting her hand forward to shake on it... a deal would be a deal.

Deoxy grinned sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head. "Yeah, sorry. My mind does go to dark places at times. It can get rather morbid." He nodded. "Of course I would be there to stop you. I'll make sure you don't chase things you shouldn't." He would. He didn't want to lose his friend after just meeting her.

He smiled back. "Thank you again! I really enjoy it." He felt less lame now that she admitted that he is her first friend as well. "Cool! I'm surprised you don't have more friends. You're an interesting Pockettu. Unless you are new around here as well." He'd have to study the scale closer to see if it does have the qualities that myths and tales speak of dragon scales having. "I'll let you know if I discover that the scale does have the properties it is rumored to have. I am interested in finding out if it's true." He laughed. "I wouldn't ask you for bone or blood...well, maybe blood, but you already said no and it's not like I would cut you or anything for it if you would like to eventually donating blood. I would use a syringe or something like that. Not that I would do it without your permission of course! I'm not that crazy or morbid and I'm going to stop talking about this now." He shook her hand. "Then it's a deal."

She couldn't help but giggle a little at his sheepish grin... "Just a little..." she'd tease him gently... finishing stuffing all the metal in her pockets... perking her brows at his question, "Yeah, I guess I am sort of young, you are the first person that I've allowed this close to me..." giving a shrug to her shoulders, "you learn quick that these are dangerous times... and you've gotta be careful about who you talk too or even let see you, you know?" She'd give sure shoulders another shrug, "if nothing else, it's tough... I know know my scales have saved me from a nasty gash from a predator a time or two... some people are just way to protective about their territory..." Like she was one to talk, no one got near her lair without her trying to scare them off....and then he started to babble and looking all flushed and flustered over what he was saying about her blood, she just busted out laughing when he said he was going to stop talking about this now... "You're a funny guy...." She'd give his hand a shake and shake her head at the same time. "I may be persuaded, if you got something good enough to trade for it, and if I can tell you know what you're doing of course!" she didn't want him jabbing her a million times with a needle just to get a bit of her blood, that was for sure!

"Everyone has to have a vice though, right? At least mine is just dark, morbid thoughts and nothing worse." Deoxy smiled. "I'm honored that you've let me get close to you." He really was. He was truly touched that Avalon let him get close to her. He got a friend out of it and some a deal for scales that could prove to be scientifically very interesting. "Yeah, gotta adapt or die in times like these and I'd much rather adapt than die. And it's good that your scales are tough. It's like you have a built in defense mechanism." He rubbed his head nervously when Avalon laughed at his rambling. "Thanks. I try." A very excited look crossed Deoxy's face. "Really? If I had something really good to trade, you'd let me have some blood? And I do actually know what I'm doing. I would never do something to harm you intentionally." He had done some research and experiments involving blood from some critters, so he knew how to do it.

Chuckling softly, "I know I know I do... a few anyway." or several or a dozen...coughing softly into her fist she'd roll her eyes skyward as if there couldn't possibly be -that- many vices that -she- was victim to. She actually purred, a deep and rumbling sound as he'd compliment her by saying that he was honored by the fact that she let him close to her.... "Well, there were the fish too... I was loathe to leave them just yet, plus as I said, you didn't seem all that threatening and see, I was right..." Grinning at him after he'd stop his rambling and be so embarrassed "I like it, it tells me more about you..." like he was excitable, just the mere hint that she would allow him to take her blood for testing would send him on another bit of a ramble... laughing "Yeah, yeah I'm sure you do...." shaking her head.... "I don't think you would Deoxy but sometimes the worst wounds can be inflicted on accident to those that we like best..." sighing softly, she'd swish her tail behind her, thinking that she should remind him "but it'll have to be like, a very good trade... some gold at the very least... add a couple fish and cream in there too and maybe I'll over look if you poke me wrong a time or two."

Deoxy nodded. "At least you know you have them, what they are, and acknowledge them. Far too many others do not do such things. It's annoying." It's true. Those who can't or won't acknowledge their faults grate on Deoxy's nerve. He laughed. "That's true, there was fish and I guess I don't give off a very threatening vibe. I don't know if that's a good thing or not." He likes to think it's a good thing and could be used to his advantage if necessary, but it can also make him a target. "Well, I'm glad you like it. I'm not sure I do. Word vomit is usually frowned upon by some, which is why I try not to do so." Deoxy smiled at Avalon. "I will be sure to come up with something splendid to trade for your blood when I get a chance to or get a strong desire to."

It sounded sort of like they were saying goodbye, it had for a while now but she'd just been ignoring it, liking the company for a change. It her opinion, he should live out in the wilds as well, but... he probably wasn't equipped for it. He didn't look like much of a hunter and when he'd come across her... well, in truth, she'd come across him first. She just hadn't went to him as he had to her. "Well, people that don't admit their faults are either too foolish to see them or too prideful to admit it..." she'd give a bit of a sniff... everyone had faults, she didn't care who it was! "I find it entertaining..." she'd grin widely, showing her tiny fangs at his way of describing his excitability as 'word vomit' chuckling and giving a shake of her head... "well I'm not looking forward to the actual taking of my blood, but you can be sure I am looking forward to whatever trade you bring!..." giggling as she'd twitch an ear and lift her nose to the wind... sniffing delicately, picking up the scent of a rabbit not too far off... dinner time... "I come here often Deoxy, so if you want to spend time with me again, come by an afternoon and we'll hang out for a while...." then she stopped to think... frowning slightly.... "if... you find yourself in trouble.... though..." she seemed, hesitant to say anything else... it was her secret place, but... she didn't have to tell him exactly where it was... and she'd smell him coming so he wouldn't actually go into her lair... "alright... there's a rocky, hilly area about five miles that way..." she'd point to a clump of trees that was actually the beginning of a massive forest, far beyond that were mountains, but she didn't mean that far, " just follow the sun as it is now.... and I'll help you if I can... but if you have a legion of cursed on your tail, I'll bite you, I swear..." of course he wouldn't do something like that to her... bring a massive pack of cursed down on her in her own home... This was for, if he got away from whatever was after him... or it wasn't something that could hurt them both or curse them both so easily... Her tail twitching behind her, sniffing at the air again... her mouth watering... "Listen, I'm gonna go get my dinner, you take care alright? See you soon... I hope..." She'd wait for him to say goodbye or if he had any other questions before she'd go off after her meal.

"That is very true, which is why others like that bother me." Deoxy finished packing up all his stuff and was making sure he had everything with him. He would hate to leave something behind, especially if it was important. He laughed. "Well, at least you aren't put off by my word vomit. If you're lucky, you might get to experience it again." Deoxy nodded. "I'll be sure to keep that in mind and stop by often. I find your company very enjoyable, even if you do steal my things at times." He made note of where Avalon pointed to when describing her home. "I'll make sure no one is following me when/if I end up coming to you there." The blue pockettu nodded. "Alright, it was nice meeting you! And you take care as well. I'll be sure to stop by again, soon." He waved to her and started to grab his things to head back home.
