now that it's day time it would seem I have the advantage. I'm walking around with a giant book incase I see it.

Hey, I dunno if anybody here can identify bugs- but if you're interested,
It's all brown with a black head approximately 4 inches long.
I live in the woods of New York state and have never seen something of this magnitute in my house before.
Yes, I get a lot of bugs in here because of our wooded location but this thing is just ******** hideous.

It's wings expand to about a 45 degree angle from it's body- not all the way like a moth.
It can crawl fast as ********. I threw my laptop at it last night (that's why I had to go) but I think i missed it.

More like a cicada.
But I killed the s**t out of it so no worries.
